Durango Steakhouse

Something like an easy strong four or more. I've really enjoyed the food here and they've got a Great happy hour, which is what really drives me in when I'm working nearby.Honestly, the food's about as good as you'll get for casual dining. No complaints there. Happy hour can be really busy though, rightfully so, but with regulars who like to hold sway over the bar. I've been asked to move more than once when they show up, which is sort of inconvenient but also kind of amusing.I remember them from when they were across the street on the other side of 95 and liked them then. They've really come up and done right by this new, not so new, place anymore. Good on them.Not sure why they charge me full dinner price for "lunch menu" items to go, so I just don't do them for lunch anymore. Easy enough.

You say Durango, I say Durango... However you pronounce Durango, this is an ok option in Titusville, FL. I went on a Thursday evening as I have a birthday tradition of always dining at a place I haven't been to before.I kept it simple with the Hawaiian Ribeye which was packed with flavor. I ordered it Medium Rare and it came out more on the rare side, which is fine with a Filet, but with a ribeye, I wasn't a big fan. They had some other items on the menu and if I do return (on the fence right now), I may try a non-steak item.The side salad was fresh and delicious and the Mac n cheese was also good. I wasn't a fan of the bread which was a hybrid of white bread and brown bread. It's like the Cheesecake Factory brown bread had an affair with an Olive Garden breadstick, but worse tasting.Service was good (not great) and the atmosphere was casual chic with a nice bluish-purple hue lighting the bar area and a train Choo-chooing around the ceiling. Prices are somewhat reasonable for a steak, but based on the other reviews, I was expecting something a little better. At the very minimum, any non-chain with the word "steakhouse" in the name should at least cook it to the proper temperature.

I do have to mention that I'm writing this review well after we've visited the establishment. Can we just start with the lighting inside the establishment needs to be a bit brighter. The restaurant on a weeknight was pretty packed! Always drive by but never been. The mister and I decided to try it out.Steaks were good. I we both got steaks. He got his w/parmesan crust, I was regular. Both medium cooked. Cooked to order. No complaints there. Apps were all good. I think my only complaint was that the food didn't come out in a timely manner. Got some apps a little bit after our steak so that kind of off putting as we started chatting and enjoying our steaks and out pops an appetizer that we totally forgot about. The waitress seemed a bit frazzled as she had multiple tables in her section and 2 big parties. Not her fault, maybe she should've asked for assistant. I dont know. Needless to say, we didn't finish the app.Other than that, we were seated almost right away after arrival and she did come and get our drink order almost immediately. Upon leaving, the hostess did say good bye. The restroom was also pretty clean. Plenty of parking outside.

Met a buddy for dinner and was shocked at how busy the place was on a weeknight. Larger than I remember from previous visits, any yet every table was filled. Eventually, a couple of bar seats opened, and we bellied up.Top notch service from the staff. Even with a full house no one was being neglected. The food quality was right on par. Nice Cesar salad & baked potatoes. Perfect medium rare cook on the filets. I'm sure the restaurant caters to many hotel guests, so no formal attire required. Kind of a come as you are place.

This is an update to my previous review from 2019. Location: This restaurant is now located on Helen Hauser near Extended Stay America, TownPlace Suites, and Quality Inn.Service: Their service is good.Ambiance: Restaurant is dimly lit. Casual atmosphere. However, be careful of the floors when it has rained outside. You're likely to slip and fall if you are wearing shoes w no traction. Don't say I didn't warn you. I was wearing sneakers and nearly slipped. Think they installed the wrong type of flooring.Food: I'm thinking they got a new chef because the 2 times I've been there in the past few days the food has been really good. I had half a burger (hubby had the other half) the first day and a southwestern chicken salad. I wasn't very hungry so I just had a couple of bites of each, but they were really good. The chicken was seasoned really well and the size of the salad is more than enough. Had to take a large portion of it back to the hotel.The 2nd time, I ordered chicken quesadillas which had mushrooms, onions, cheese, etc. The tortillas were thin and slightly crispy. Coming from Texas, I thought they were yummy. The only thing I would change is to season the chicken more with pepper. Husband ordered the Colorado Chili and that was really delicious. It came with a side of tortilla chips. On a cold day, this hit the spot. I think they've really turned this place around as far as the food goes. Hopefully they will keep it up.

Stayed at a nearby hotel for the night. Was happy to see this restaurant next door!Sat at the bar and got great service, the food came in decent time and was just right. Petite filet, button sautéed mushrooms and a plain sweet potato. Hit the spot!

everything the table ordered was delicious! i was also very impressed with the server, philip. he was very helpful and accommodating to a drink that i ordered that wasn't on the menu.

Great restaurant. I've been here a few times. The steaks are cooked over a wood (oak) burning grill. I've never been unhappy with my steaks their.The staff and service is outstanding. I love the salad with steak add.

The food and service were so good! I had their signature meatloaf sandwich and mmm mmm good! The dining room was clean and comfortable. Just a little on the warm side from that big beautiful grill.
