Such a fun experience! And especially if you're coming with a group. I came with a group of co-workers for lunch and we were easily seated. The menu is large and has great appetizers and margarita pitches perfect for sharing! We especially enjoyed the passion fruit margaritas and guacamole. The food and service were well enjoyed! There was a variety of tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, etc.. around the table and everyone enjoyed! Great lunch specials are on offer as well! Can't wait to return!

I just don't get the hype. Look through my reviews, I go to a ton of Mexican and Tex-Mex places. From the cheapest of the cheap to the top of the top. People say "John L., you have to go to Don Julio!"I've been to both of their East Orlando locations and I just don't see it. The places are packed and hard to get around in, seating is difficult, it's thumping like a nightclub but it's 2pm, the service is pretty slow, the food is just ok, and the prices are high. What am I missing?I just don't see what others are seeing. It's a decent place, but not one I choose unless whoever we are dining with insists on it.

This was my first visit to Don Julio, and sometimes you just want something simple, so I went for the chicken quesadilla. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pulled chicken and balance of cheeses included in an otherwise unassuming dish. The complimentary chips and salsa were fantastic, and interior was lovely without being overwhelming. The service was friendly and accommodating despite our visit being closer to closing time than not. We will be back to try out more of the menu, the signature fajitas look amazing!

Today was a bad experience. I've always been a big fan of Don Julio, despite my hubby's other preferences. We visited again today for the so-called happy hour and can confidently say this is the last time we will ever visit. The service has gone down year after year but we kept visiting bc the food and drinks were good. Not to mention, the salsa had always been fantastic. But today...we are done. Never again. We were seated at 4:40pm on a Friday and it was a pretty empty crowd both inside and out. We were seated outside quickly but it took about 10 min for the staff to greet us - by greeting, they said someone would be by soon and kept walking by counting the table numbers to the new employee they were training. They didn't greet us in English, which is a-okay as someone who speaks Spanish as well, but my hubby does not.We ordered our margaritas and waited another 17 minutes for them arrive. This was during happy hour so we were eager to take advantage of the happy hour and enjoy dinner after. We finally got our drinks at 5:16 and decided to move on to a different restaurant immediately after. The drinks were not crafted and tasted like a bottle you would purchase at Walmart. The salsa, which was always my delicious vice, was super salty and served in a half portion.Granted, it has been at least 6 months since we were last here. Probably more like 8-10. But this was a really poor experience. It almost felt like the employees had no desire to receive guests today. The server we met had no desire to tell us the happy hour menu and immediately disengaged when we asked. I totally understand wanting us to purchase the full menu, which we planned, but we also really wanted to enjoy the happy hour for 1-2 hours before moving on to dinner.

Don Julio's has the best chimichanga in town--crispy, golden perfection on the outside, packed with flavorful, well-seasoned fillings inside. Every bite is a perfect balance of crunch, spice, and savory goodness. If you're a Chimichanga fan, this is the spot!

Decided to check this place out late oin a Friday night. I thought the place was really cute and they even had a dj playing some tunes. We sat at the bar. My husband had previously raved about the birria tacos, so we got an order of those and the pork chimichanga. While we waited on our meal, we got queso to go with the chips. The salsa served with the chips had little flavor so I was happy I liked their queso dip. The entrees came out in a reasonable time and were hot. The chimichanga was different than any other I've had before. A bit more breading than meat, although it was decent bc it was doused in queso. The birria tacos were not very good. They were a bit burnt and the consume was watery and didn't add much to the flavor. Service at the bar was great, but would probably only come back for happy hour.

I thought my experience at Don Julio was great. I really like how quick the food came out. my server was really nice, attentive and always coming by to check on us. He also had a great sense of humor. I ordered the veggie tacos with a side of sour cream and cheese . It was really good . I also liked the salsa and chips . My bestie ordered the birria ramen which is her favorite . It looked really good and we shared one of their margaritas which is dangerous because you barely taste the liquor. The music is nice but a bit loud at times but overall don Julio is definitely worth trying.

This is one of me and my friends' favorite spots to go to. Drinks are always strong and delicious for a good price, food is always incredible!!!! There are so many great options here, and everything I have is always delicious! I usually get the carne asada meal, but lately my obsession has been the steak quesadilla. They always season their proteins amazingly, their rice is delicious, their salsa delicious -- I just love this place! They also have lunch specials and a happy hour if you don't want to spend too much money.
