We were in town to watch a rocket launch and had heard great reviews of this place from a co-worker, so we decided to stop in for lunch. Just based on the statues and decor outside, you can tell Dixie Crossroads prides themselves on the Rock Shrimp - something we've never had before. We arrived around lunchtime and it was a little busy, but we got seated right away. Our server, Geri, was pleasant and attentive though it was busy. After dropping off the delicious corn holes, hush puppies, whatever they were, she apologized for the wait and took our orders. We were interested in the rock shrimp, but didn't want the lunch portion, so she said she could do an appetizer portion for us which was the perfect size. We also ordered the blackened mahi and crab cake lunch. The rock shrimp were great, but next time I think we'll opt for the garlic butter sauce option on top. The rest of our meal was good, but we definitely liked the shrimp the best. Glad we found this gem, and glad we can be part of the crowd to have tried rock shrimp!
