I really wanted to love this place but I left disappointed. We ordered the Onigiri with Eel, Tonkotsu Ramen, and Shoyu Ramen. The Onigiri had the smallest bit of eel and essentially a sizable glob of rice wrapped with a piece of seaweed, perfect if you're broke and need a filling meal. I was expecting something on par or slightly better than Japan's 7-11's onigiris. The Tonkotsu was creamy, yet very bland. The noodles it came with was white and not yellow I'm use to which was way over cooked and so soggy that it almost clumped together into a dough ball at the bottom of the bowl. The menu picture depicts it with an egg but if you look closely at it, there's a discretion stating that an egg wasn't included. The Shoyu was the best dish I tried, as the the broth was flavorful and slightly sweet and had the springy yellow noodles I expected was going to be in the Tonkotsu.I'd only return here if I want Shoyu Ramen. There are so many other ramen options in Orlando that I'd probably go elsewhere tbh.

Picked up take out for my son while we were in the area. Called in the order for the chicken curry rice while we were down the street and order was ready when we arrived. The chicken curry was good but the portion was small for almost $14.

Don't believe this place is still open but having lived in Japan for 14 years, their Ramen and other good items were legit. They are missed!

New name, same great flavors, and low prices. If you love ramen or if you love soup then try this place out. I can't believe how inexpensive the food is here compared to elsewhere and how delicious. FoodWe ordered miso ramen with bean sprout and Shoyu ramen. Both were delicious and A LOT. We shared with our partners and it was more than enough. I added egg and bean sprouts and it was really filling. Lots of flavors, but not freshly made ramen. In other places, I've been to it takes longer to receive the food because it is all made in-house, but it is also more expensive. Overall, the flavor is there so not a big deal just a note. PriceI eat ramen all over Boca Raton, Boynton, Delray area and some areas south too. Food prices vary, but are typically not as cheap as you can get in Orlando. Especially adding toppings and such. So when you visit here, splurge. LocationWe didn't notice until we left that the entire plaza has Asian cuisine and a market. I recommend going early to explore. There is plenty of parking and various hours of operation. What to expect when visitingYou order food at the counter, they bring the food, then you clean up afterward. Different than being waited on. Doesn't take away from the experience.

Quite nice place and good affordable food. The onigiri as appetizer hit the spot very nicely. Some pork buns and ramen very good to follow. My only thing I believe could make it better was nicer eggs on ramen. They were cold and what was supposed to be sold boil eggs, were clearly hardboiled.Still, this is not a high end restaurant, so for the price I paid in quite pleased.

Located in Orlando's version of China Town; a shopping plaza filled with various Asian restaurants, grocery store, and other assorted businesses. This restaurant was recommended as among the best and while it was not anywhere near the worst ramen we've had, it was not close to being the best. Would we visit again? Yes. Would it be a first choice? No. The meals were average but the service was wonderful.

Had a nice lunch here today. Dining room was very open and clean, only a few other diners there for Tuesday lunch. We did plan to come here to try the ramen, but instead we found other menu items that caught our attention. The teriyaki beef skewers were a nice appetizer with a delicious sauce. One skewer had a long-ish piece on it so I guess it counted as two pieces since the two weren't exactly consistent in size. The beef itself was nice and tender. Beef sukiyaki fried rice is something I've only ever had once somewhere else, and in comparison this one was sort of bland, but I added what was left over of the teriyaki sauce from the appetizer and drizzled it on top for more flavor, which was an awesome idea. Without my asking, the guy who took our order brought me more sauce which was awesome. That sauce was also a great dipping for the tempura chicken that came aside with an udon noodle soup. The tempura chicken was a little oily but still very good and was served with thai chili sauce. The udon noodle soup had a very nice and light broth. I don't care to compare them to what was there before it, which is ignorant as they are still their own standing business which is not meant to be 100% the same. So overall it was a pretty decent experience. Cant wait to come back to try the other menu options.

My friend and I were in Chinatown and we stumbled upon this ramen place. It's a nice and cute little place. No table service, you just order at the front desk and they will bring you the food when it's done. Ramen is good and it's not expensive like other ramen places. Will definitely come back here again.

I was happy to discover today that Da Son Ramen had taken over the space previously occupied by Sapporo Ramen and I believe is still owned by someone of Japanese ancestry. If I could do half stars, I would rate them with 3.5. In their defense, I am partial to Sapporo and was comparing them in service, food quality and taste. When you walk in, you will immediately notice the change in the layout. It seems more spacious without the booths. All the tables are spaced apart for social distancing right now. The placement of the water and condiments is in a much better place. You used to have to squeeze through the line to get to it and back. Now it is in the back right corner which works out so much better when you are walking back with full water glasses precariously placed in your hands. The counter seats at the store windows are gone and the high top tables that were in the back corner have been moved to the front left. There are pictures of all the food items along the left wall as you walk in towards the cashier. They are a little low so if someone is sitting along that wall, it looks like you are blatantly staring at them. The pics should probably be a bit higher. Hint, hint. I imagine they are there so you can get ideas on what to order as you approach the cashier. Unfortunately, unless you are familiar with the menu, the pictures are not named. I knew what I wanted to order so no issues for me. Just like Sapporo, after you order and pay, you find a table to sit at and they bring your food out to you. Many of the menu items appeared to be the same. We ordered takoyaki and gyoza for the appetizers. For the entrees, we ordered beef curry and chicken katsu curry. The staff was very pleasant. Within a few minutes of seating, we received our order of takoyaki but not the gyoza yet. The takoyaki recipe appears to be identical to Sapporo's. It was perfect and so good. It comes with 5 pieces for $4. Not long afterwards, we received our curry entrees. Unfortunately, the elusive gyoza appetizer was still MIA. We mentioned it to the staff and were told it should be out soon. The curry was sadly just not the same as Sapporo. Unfortunately, it just didn't taste nearly as good and the beef was lower quality. The sauce was thinner and tasted as if it had too much black pepper or some other pepper in it. It was so spicy! With Sapporo, there was a nice, slight kick to it but this stuff was downright, have a glass of milk nearby, spicy! The chicken was perfectly crisp on the outside, yet tender on the inside but was about half of the chicken we were accustomed to getting at Sapporo. With Sapporo, you received large chunks of beef in the beef curry but Da Son Ramen gives you cheaper, thin cuts of fatty beef, more like the stuff in gyudon. Just not as good overall. At the end of our meal, we asked one final time for the forgotten gyoza. We received an apology for the delay in bringing it out. When it finally made its appearance, it was pretty dismal. I realized that we didn't indicate pan-fried or deep-fried and weren't given the option when ordering. What we received was pan-fried but only one side was browned so it almost seemed it was just steamed. It may have been rushed out since it was so late in getting out to us. All in all, it tasted fine so we were ok with it.I knocked off a point due to the decrease in quality and overly spicy curry. I grew up on Japanese curry as I am half-Japanese. Sapporo made it just how my mom used to make it. Da Son is just not up to par yet. I will try again at a later date though and truly hope they change the recipe and use higher quality beef. If I could take a half point off for the delay in bringing the gyoza out, I would but don't want to knock them down a whole point as I do love my Japanese food and truly want them to succeed. I wish them well and will try again someday.
