Comic Strip Cafe is located inside Islands of Adventure, between the Marvel area and Jurassic area. This is very hidden as well as right in your sight. I think most people don't know it is a restaurant as they walk by. This is a typical theme park restaurant, quick service. One of the unique things about this spot, is the food. It is probably the only quick service restaurants I've seen at a theme park, that serves ramen and eggrolls. The rest of the items include your typical Universal Food: pizza, burgers, chicken sandwiches and salads. It is unique and I don't know how the ramen fits in with the theme, it's all over the place. We recently ate here for lunch with some family and friends, and we were both pretty happy. This location is really large, with lots of tables inside and a few outside. It is also cool inside which is great on these hot Florida days! There are also drink refill stations inside, which if you have the refillable cup, you can utilize even if not eating here. Universal really pushes the mobile order through the app, which I personally think is much easier and you can see what the food looks like. If you are that type of person like my wife, then use the app. There a few registers open for those that want to order the traditional way. If you want a special request for your food, then you will need to stand in line and order with the cashier. There are not options for special requests on the app. The app is also nice because you can order anywhere in the park and when you get there, sit down and hit "I'm here, prepare my order". I wanted to try the ramen, I don't usually enjoy burgers and pizza at the parks. I chose the one with pork belly. This was actually really good for a theme park. I was surprised. It had a flavorful rich broth, egg, pork belly, bean sprouts, noodles and green onions. This would be really good on those days it does get chilly in Orlando, and I would order it again. My wife decided she just wanted something simple so ordered the cheeseburger with bacon. It was fine, was it the best burger, no, did it fill her up, yes. It was a decent size, actually pretty large compared to other burgers in theme parks. It was cooked well and topped with cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and pickles. It also came with fries which were very salty but hot. She mentioned how salty the fries were which isn't the best for everyone. Our family and friends also ordered the ramen with the added egg rolls. They enjoyed both as well. This is a decent place to get lunch at Islands. Its not my favorite place here but I would go back, it was fine. They do have unique items, things I have never seen in a theme park so that was a plus. The service was not the best at lunch time. They did have greeters which said hello but questioned us why were there, the restaurant was empty. I also noticed most of them were busy talking to each other as opposed to helping customers. It was extremely slow for the food to come out as well. Our group all came out at different times, my wife and I were done eating by the time someone else in the group got their food. It didn't make sense. It wasn't that busy. If you are looking for something unique or just a classic burger/pizza, I would say check this place out.

Food was disgusting, all 3 items we ordered were not edible. Salty burnt vegetable noodles, raw chicken nuggets, bland shrimp fry rice. Drink machine drinks taste rancid. Service was unprofessional

Comic Strip Cafe is located inside Islands of Adventure, between the Marvel area and Jurassic area. This is your typical theme park restaurant; it is quick service. The one thing I would say that they have going for them is that the food here is unique. It is one of the only quick service restaurants I've seen at a theme park that serves ramen and eggrolls. They also serve pizza and burgers, chicken sandwiches and salads. It is sort of a hodge podge menu, the ramen is really the unique item. We recently visited here for lunch with some family and friends. The restaurant is actually really large, there are lots of tables inside as well as a few outside. It is nice and cool inside; I would always say sit inside. They also have the drink refill stations inside, that you can use even if not ordering food. Universal really pushes the mobile order which I personally think is much easier. They only have a few registers open for those that want to order the traditional way. I will say, if you want certain items left off, I will not use the mobile app. It is usually not available to leave items off such as no tomatoes on your burger. When using the mobile app order, just sit down, pull up the Universal app and order your food. It is then brought to your table after you enter your table number. I ordered just a burger since I was not feeling any of the other options. It was good. Not the best but not the worst. It was a decent size burger, cooked well with cheese and bacon and topped with lettuce, tomato and pickles. It also came with fries which were very salty and hot. My husband decided to try the ramen. He chose the one with pork belly. He really enjoyed it, actually saying how good it was for a theme park. It had a nice rich broth, egg, pork belly, bean sprouts, noodles and green onions. I tasted it and it was actually really good too. This would be really good on those days it does get chilly in Orlando. Our family and friends also ordered the ramen with the added egg rolls. They enjoyed both as well. All in all, this is a decent place to get lunch. Its not my favorite place at Universal but it wasn't bad. They did have some unique items, things I have never seen in a theme park so that was a plus. The service was not the best for lunch time. I did notice most of them were busy talking to each other as opposed to helping customers. It was also very slow for the food to come out and the restaurant was not even half full. If you are looking for something unique or just a classic burger/pizza, I would say check this place out.

I saw they had ramen as a choice and was curious to try it out. It was not a good idea. Noodles were clumpy, soup base was salty, and the cha shu was more like Asian flavored pork belly. Still, the flavor is there, and noodles were decent, so it's not a total disaster. They didn't have anyone taking orders when I went, so be prepared to order via the mobile app. It took a while for food to arrive, even though there was almost no one else in the store. On the positive side, there were plenty of seats; in case it gets crowded elsewhere, this could be a good place to eat.

Ate here with the family at Universal Studios, ordered my son burger and fries and my wife and I had the pork belly ramen. My son's burger was dry and bland. The fries were tasteless. The "pork belly" ramen was a total disaster. I wouldn't even mix this with my dog's kibble. Pork had this red marinade on it, it made me think I was eating pork from a bad Chinese restaurant. Noodles were not cooked right, there was green onions and cilantro? That threw me off. The only thing right about it was the hard boiled eggs. You would probably enjoy instant ramen from the grocery better.Service here wasn't the best either, the person taking our order was impatient with us because we didn't know the ordering process. I'd be in a bad mood also if I was serving bad ramen.Probably the worst meal we had at Universal Studios.

I was just served a bowl of Ramen Noodles that redefines bad food for me. I can enjoy a $0.99 bag of top ramen from the grocery, but this bowl of noodles was a vile wretched disgrace. If you must eat here, go with the pizza.

Mobile ordering options only. Clever concept and they deliver to your table. Egg roll was overcooked and tough.

All I'm saying is that... We hit the food jackpot strolling into this cafe!! Who would think that Asian food is served in the middle of comic-vile -- Dudley Do-Right and Popeye!! They have RAMEN NOODLES, eggrolls & Bulgogi!! This is like gold doublunes for me and my kids! Of course, they have all the other stuff like pizza and burgers blah blah blah... same as the other food joints here. But A+++ for unexpected variety and it was worth the wait! The ordering process was a little weird for walk ins. You have to get a table 1st and then go in the ordering line and tell them your table #, and they bring the dish to you when it's finished. Order through the mobile app, and that way the food comes to your table so much faster!
