I finally had the opportunity to dine here. I wanted to get some BBQ ribs so I went with a friend, and we chose to dine-in.Even though I knew that I wanted ribs, it still took us a minute to decide on our final orders. I still decided to order the ribs with no sauce, so that I could choose the sauce(s) that I wanted at the sauce bar. The ribs were very tender, easy to get off of the bone and delicious. I was quite happy with this choice, so happy that I had forgot to take photos before digging in. I definitely will be coming back here for the ribs.It wasn't very busy inside so dining inside was a nice experience. There was plenty of available tables to choose from and it wasn't too loud. The tables were clean and the sauce/fountain drink/napkin area was clean and organized.

Solid 4.5 stars for some tasty BBQ. We came here on the recommendation of a friend who has dined here previously. We arrived around 7pm and the restaurant was empty but we were greeted warmly by everyone. I love the open kitchen concept and the seating area was nice and clean. I originally wanted a Pick 2 with Ribs and brisket but there is a $3 up charge for each of those items. Our cashier who I believe was named Leanny, was super helpful and suggested we order the City Sampler and then add ribs on the side as a combo since they aren't a part of the sampler. Ordering this way saved a few dollars. We headed over to the sauce bar to choose our sauces which they have everything from original to spicy. I got a little bit of the original, sweet and swine sauce which is a vinegar based sauce. The city sampler comes with 4 meats. We chose brisket, chicken, sausage and pulled pork with a side salad and 3 cheese baked mac. For the rib combo we ordered half rack St Louis ribs with potato salad and collard greens.Whatever you do get the pulled pork and pair it with the Swine Sauce at the sauce bar. It was delicious! Everything had a good flavor. My only disappointment was that the brisket and ribs were a little dry in my opinion. I usually ask for the fatty brisket when I visit a BBQ restaurant but I forgot to ask for that. The sausage, chicken and pulled pork were the stars of the show. All were cooked perfectly. The sides were all good too! The mac n cheese was so good as well as the potato salad and collard greens.We ended up bringing left overs home as expected. I can't wait to visit again and check out other items on the menu.

The Rundown: efficient and flavorful BBQ chain with a friendly team who focuses on cooked meets. The Review: I first encountered City BBQ at an expo and the samples were fantastic. I was surprised how open the location is, with nice outdoor seating. I was met by Jaylene who walked me through the offerings with patience and offered a great first impression. Kudos to her! I was given my cup and was glad to see lemonade was offered. The food arrived shortly after (fried okra, Mac N cheese, pulled pork sandwich) First impression: what unique fried okra! And wow is that bun shiny. The okra was phenomenal. I've never had it with breading like this and it was wonderfully crispy and okra tasted refreshing. The Mac and cheese was pretty standard, nothing to necessarily wow. The sandwich was very oily, which I guess comes with the territory. They offer a variety of sauces which is handy, and allows you to season to your liking. Overall, the food was pretty good but I was surprised how oily the sandwich was and it made a big mess. But it's BBQ, so gotta expect that! I've just never really had this oily an experience before so that was kind of odd.Between the service, atmosphere (open and clean with variety of seating options), if you're in the mood for quick BBQ this place will likely satisfy. Pricing is a bit above average, bordering on full service prices, but need to realize the attention put into the meat processes to understand it is rather reasonable. Just likely not something you'll be eating at often. Also - They offer drive thru but I definitely recommend if eating in is an option to go that route. You'll still get your food served quick but can appreciate the sit down experience. And the app is worth downloading to get in on their rewards!

This is a tasty new BBQ place. The prices are good and the variety is great! I especially love the hush puppies. It is order at the counter and seat yourself but not a bad experience. Plenty of seats and pretty clean. The drinks are self service and you have many fountain drink options.

City Barbecue offers flavorful bbq. You can buy it by the pound or in dinner plates with sides. Their meat has good flavor and the right texture. They provide many choices for sides.City BBQ is a chain and reminded me of Mission BBQ further down Semoran. This is a very clean restaurant and they had friendly staff. I went there at lunch time and they really expedited the ordering and food delivery process. They let you try a taste of the sides before you order. I did not think their baked beans were sweet enough for me. I ordered a two meat platter with pulled pork and brisket (Upcharge.). When it came to my two sides I chose green beans and corn bread. The plate comes with Texas toast but I wanted to try their corn bread.In the restaurant, they have a sauce bar along with other condiments. They had several of their made in house sauces. You put it in a little cup and take it to your table. You place your order, they call for you to pick up your food when ready and they have bins to clean your table and remove your trash at the end.I had a good meal and I had enough for a snack at home. They provide tasty barbecue but other than their friendly and competent staff I found nothing that made City Barbecue stand out in the BBQ field of restaurants. I would eat here again if I was in the area and I would order the meat by the pound.If you download their app you receive a coupon for $5 off your order. I did not have a good enough cell signal to download the app in the store.

City Barbeque (Winter Park)The food at City Barbeque - Winter Park was OK! My highlights actually not the ribs, brisket or the chicken... It was FRIED OKRA (seasoned, seasoned and more seasoned..)& CORN PUDDING (favor on favor) . They both were great!! The ribs, brisket & chicken had favor but it was not hot. The ribs were a little tough, brisket was on the dry side and the chicken was ok. The service was very friendly and this is a place I will try again for the FRIED OKRA AND CORN PUDDING ! My order:Three Meats Sampler (Ribs, brisket & pulled chicken) Mac, Fried Okra, Corn pudding & drink. The atmosphere:Family Friendly Co-workers spot!! I went in a Monday afternoon and I got a family friendly co-workers lunch vibe. Great service!My Review:The food was ok. The ribs, brisket & chicken had favor but it was not hot. The ribs were a little tough, brisket was on the dry side and the chicken was ok. The Mac cheese was not creamy & cheesy. HOWEVER, The FRIED OKRA & CORN PUDDING will have me coming back!Overall Score: 6/10

Honestly overrated bbq. The food was decent but there are just so many better bbq places. The cornbread was horrible and the mac n cheese was like Tyson mac n cheese. This place is quick service and honestly a bit pricey for what it is. The interior was clean and I liked the theming. The food came out decently quick. The cornbread really was just so bad it threw me off. They served the brisket sandwich on raising canes toast.

What drew me in was the 25th anniversary special where you can get a pork sandwich for $0.25 during September. I placed a curbside to-go order via the City Barbecue app. It was easy to navigate, order, and pay. I also ordered the 3 side combo with cole slaw, fries, and corn pudding. The app said it would take about 15 minutes. Once arriving, you click "I'm Here." My food was brought out immediately.I arrived home, and my food was packaged perfectly and still very hot. There was a good amount of pork on the sandwich, and the sides were plentiful. The pork was very good. The cole slaw was creamy without being soupy. The fries could have been a little crispier was good. The corn pudding stole the show. That is a must order as a side item when you visit. I really liked the taste of the original bbq sauce that was packaged with my order.I saw there were salads in the app and want to try one of those next. I will be back!
