In a trip full of eating at a handful of signature dining options, this was my favorite in the Disney resorts. Grand floridian is home to some good eats, Citricos is my favorite among them.TL;DR1. Best meal of the trip among several Disney resort signature dining spots.2. High price point, expected for signature dining, but service was exceptional.3. Complimentary bread & sea salt cultured butter--dangerously good.4. Seared duck appetizer: Small but delicious; soy quail eggs were a standout.5. Guava BBQ Short Rib: Rich, filling, and tasty, but only got half a Brussels sprout instead of a real portion.6. Smoked Cauliflower: Unexpectedly amazing; do not skip it. Green curry sauce was phenomenal.7. Dessert (Goat Cheese Cheesecake): Cool concept, but white chocolate shell was overpowering and artificial-tasting.8. Overall: Favorite meal of the trip, despite a few minor gripes. Would absolutely return. As a signature dining option, price is obviously up there, so again, not a normal dinner night for most people as it can be a little cost prohibitive, however, I LOVED this meal. Of course, the service matched, everything was taken care of and you get that white glove service you look forward to with signature dining.First off, complimentary bread for the table, always gets extra points from me. They served some kind of special sea salt cultured butter, and was dangerously delicious. They have sourdough made in-house as well and it comes crusty, with a pillowy interior and again, just try not to eat the whole dang thing. They give a good amount, too.The seared duck appetizer was great. A little small, but it was expected. The soy quail eggs were exceptional and the accompanying vegetables and sauce really helped tie everything tother. The duck was insanely tender and flavorful, very happy I got it.The Guava BBQ Short Rib was top notch. A solid portion, the bed of creamy grits and the rich short rib are deceptively filling. The slaw was nice texturally, my only complaint is it says it comes with brussels sprouts (plural), I think I got 1 Brussel cut in half..? I wanted a green vegetable, not a garnish. That's my one gripe for a $52 entrée. Besides that, delicious and would order again. The dark horse of the dinner.. Smoked cauliflower?? When I tell you not to pass up the cauliflower, don't! Whatever they did to this stuff, it was amazing. The green curry sauce was unbelievable with the cauliflower and citrus creme fraiche. It's a sleeper, but trust me.Lastly, the dessert. Visually pleasing, but overall wouldn't order it again. I loved the flavor of the goat cheese cheesecake (I'll be stealing that idea) but as a whole it fell short with me. I am not a big white chocolate fan, but I tolerate it. It is easy to overdo it and you get that fake confectionary flavor lingering, it's just not enjoyable. Had some great qualities, but some not so great. That white chocolate shell was just meh.All in all, fantastic dinner, favorite of the trip (while not all comparable, we ate at toledo, topolino, boma, sebastians bistro, Wailulu bar and grill).

It's probably been about 25 years since I've dined at Citricos. Obviously I don't remember much about my first dining experience there because I totally forgot it was on the 2nd floor of the Grand Floridian. So once we finally found it, we checked in for our dinner reservation to celebrate our anniversary. As we were walked to our table, the hostess explained the redesign of the restaurant to a "light" theming of Mary Poppins Returns. It's not overly noticeable, but we did walk past the coatrack behind glass that she pointed out had Mary's bag, umbrella, and hat. The chairs all had floral backs, the rest of the décor was elegant, and the tableware was pink. Our server Christina was excellent. She was attentive, professional, and had a great sense of humor. I would normally order wine, but the liquor drinks were the same price or cheaper. Go figure. So to start, I ordered the Cucumber Vodka Martini and my partner ordered the Pineapple Daiquiri. My martini was heavy on the vodka but delicious and refreshing. Complimentary bread was brought to the table with guava-flavored butter, and we ordered the Spring Pea and Citrus Arancini. There were three arancini balls included, and they were delicious. For our entrees, we both ordered the Domestic Sustainable Fish, which was tilefish that evening. It was very flavorful with a spiced crust. The risotto on the side came with shrimp mixed in. Also delicious. For dessert, we tried the Guava-Cheese Fusion, which was a guava/goat cheese cheesecake with a lavender coating. It was very creamy, but not overly rich. It was a great dessert choice for us to share. The thin crust on the bottom had a lot of flavor to it as well. All in all, it was a memorable anniversary dinner. We even got to see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom out the window that was across the room. Now about the Grand Floridian parking situation. Because we drive by it all the time going to WDW from Horizon West, I know that guests dining at the Grand Floridian have to park across the street in what used to be just the cast member parking lot. So we didn't waste our time going to the main entrance at the GF, and I certainly was not going to pay to valet my car when we were already going to be dropping a couple hundred dollars for dinner. But it is extremely tacky to make ANY guest park across the street when they are paying an extreme amount of money to dine at any restaurant at the GF, the most expensive resort on WDW property. There was plenty of parking available still in the main parking lot, and the convention center parking lot. I know they are working on the road alongside the GF, blah, blah, blah. But this has been YEARS. I won't deduct any stars for my dining experience, but know that this is a known frustration for GF guests with dinner reservations. It's not a grand first impression.

This was my first time at one of the more "upscale" Grand Floridian restaurants, and it did NOT disappoint! The atmosphere in here is the perfect amount of elegance while still allowing folks in their Disney gear to dine comfortably. Our server was attentive and didn't miss a beat! The bread to start came with a delicious fruity butter, and we started with the duck and pork belly appetizers. Both were amazing! The pork belly melted in your mouth and both dishes had great medleys of flavor. For entrees, I went for the filet at the suggestion of the server, and it lived up to her recommendation! The flavor was smoky and the sauce was great, and I always appreciate a good potato side with a steak. It was cooked perfectly and it's one of the better steaks I have had on Disney property! My boyfriend went for the short ribs, which he also loved and raved about the flavor of. We shared what I believe was the macchiato dessert, and it was a tasty end to the meal and definitely had the "high quality dessert" feel to it. Overall, this was a great date night spot and would be an excellent choice for a special occasion as well. Everything felt high quality and elevated! Cant wait to go back!

Came back to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was still one of the best special occasion restaurants in Disney World. We got the Passion Margarita, Blossom Martini, Yuzu-Soy Roasted Duck Breast, Citrus-Cured Hamachi, Domestic Fish (Fish of the day?), and the Malbec Guava-Barbecued Short Ribs, and the Truffle Macaroni & Cheese. Every single thing was amazing. The drinks were solid. The short ribs and the truffle mac and cheese were my favorite parts but there wasn't one thing I wouldn't order again. The service was top tier here just like last time we came here. It was a wonderful experience and since we came a little later it felt it was a little more intimate. Citricos is a must if you're out to celebrate.

This is our first time eating "fine dining" at Citricos at Grand Floridian. Located on the 2nd floor, the decor was "Mary Poppins" and the food is a fusion between Spanish and Mediterranean. This place did not disappoint however, be prepared to spend some money. The restaurant does have a dress code (no swimwear). Javier was our server and he was great. We both started with an adult beverage and opted for the Passion Margarita. It was well balanced between passion fruit, orange and tequila. It was delicious. That beverage was $17.99. Our waiter started us of with a basket of bread (ciabatta & multi grain) with a side of guava butter. The guava butter was sweet and reminded me of cream cheese but it was delicious. As an appetizer, we ordered the sweet pea arancini. A lot of flavor, texture and well balanced. As our meal, we ordered the Guava Short Ribs and The filet minion. The guava short rib came with a cheesy grit & both combinations was to die for. The short rib was tender and just melted in your mouth. The cheesy grit was savory and broke up the fat of the short rib. The filet was cooked to perfection. We also had to get the truffle mac and cheese. If you like truffles, it's a must order. Definitely one of those nice meals to splurge on. Our meal including drinks was pricey but worth it.

Amazing service and great drinks! We had a great night with fantastic service and the ambiance was so special and unique. We were waiting for the Enchanted Rose, and what a great place to wait fir our table to be called at The enchanted Rose. We had a few drinks and although they were over-priced, they were exceedingly enjoyable! Also, we had the smoked cauliflower and Truffle Mac-n- Cheese (which was STUPENDOUS!)

I was running around all sorts of Disney resorts, looking at all the beautiful gingerbread structures they had out for the holidays. Well, I got hungry and had to go through to trials and tribulations of finding somewhere to eat on Disney property spur of the moment. It was a chore, but I did it. I nabbed a resy for Citricos for a quick meal. We got seated, ordered some drinks, and decided to just get a few apps to share. The first one we got was the some sort of arancini. Crispy, delicious, served with a nice little sauce and a nicely dressed salad. No complaints. The second one, I'm not sure. Whatever it was, it's not on the current menu, but it sure it was delicious. It sure looked delicious. And the third thing, still on their menu today, was the Yuzu-Soy Roasted Duck Breast (Braised Duck Dumplings, Butternut Tonkotsu, Soy Quail Egg, Sesame Aïoli). This was a very interesting dish. Overall, this was a nice restaurant. I would be more interested in trying some of the entrees the next time I come back.

Pros:Absolutely beautiful restaurant in an absolutely beautiful Disney resort hotel. Upper class Disney service was on point. We felt very catered to. The food tasted good!Cons:The composure of the dishes was a little odd. Maybe Disney trying too hard to impress their higher class clientele. I'm sure they appreciated it. Tips:The arancini and the dessert were very good! I recommend these, if you come here.

This was my first time dining at Cítricos located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Our server Rony was excellent. The setting is serene and quite lovely. Understated and a subtle nod to Mary Poppins. My food was exquisite. The ingredients fresh and vibrant. It was the type of meal that your thoughts travel back to again and again.

We visited citricos on a Friday night, and we sat at the lounge. Our bartender was very attentive even with the crowd. He kept up very well with the line, and we were never left, wanting for anything. I ordered a couple of Negroni's, and I very much enjoyed the truffle mac & cheese. This mac & cheese was amazing, it looked kind of strange when it first came out because of the foam on top, but once you give it a mix, I promise it is one of the best travel mac & cheese I've had in Orlando.I would definitely go back and enjoy some more of the food items from the menu, maybe even for a sit down dinner.
