Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous

First thing, it's a bit confusing what's happening here. There were no staff members at the front and no signs from what I saw. When you go in, you need to go around from the right side, past all the tables. Note that you can pick an empty table for yourself - remember the number on it!Near the fountain machines on the right side, there's a counter to order. You make the order their and give them your table, and they'll bring out your food. It's not table service so don't expect that. It's a QSR, but they just bring you the food.The roast beast sandwich was pretty awesome btw and the decor and themeing was so good.

The place is so cute and themed. However, the food, not impressed with at all. I was actually upset. The food came out cold the meatballs were cold in the middle. For what I paid $$$: A complete MISS!!! Not happy at all. The portions tiny for the price.The SERVICE: The waitress "BAD" her attitude, is more like whatever! she didn't want to be there, and it showed. We ask for silverware for our spaghetti and meatballs. It should come out automatically and be given with the food. They don't have silverware on display either. I have no problem getting it for myself. But where? noting on display. NO napkins either. Are we supposed to eat with our fingers. Seriously. ++++The table behind us left dirty with dishes when we got there and when we left. SADThen you have to ask for ketchup, mayo condiments too because Universal soooooooo cheap to have it on display. So, we can get it for ourselves and not be a bother to its employees. Now we are a party of seven and she came out with 1 tiny round top of ketchup and 1 pack of mayo for seven peeps. Like Common!!!!! Seriously. BAD SERVICE 100%At this point I just....................... The service for the day just horrible because the other places to suck. Like what's going on Universal? the service use to be great but the downfall of it just HORIIBLE!!! The only good thing: the bathroom was cleaned.Peep PEE: I would recommend, to sit this one out!

Pleasantly surprised!Atmosphere was cute! People upon entering were friendly and helpful.We had a gluten allergy in our group- the chef came out explained everything she could have, then the chef made it and personally brought it to our table.Plenty of food- filled us up.Food looked and tasted delicious.They should read Dr. Suess books while you eat.

We were VERY surprised at how awesome this food was. We talked about it the rest of the week. The only negative was I didn't love the idea of having to order on your phone but the food did come out very fast. They were very helpful with gluten free. BEST portion sizes at the park. Got the meatballs and the plate was packed. Everything was colorful and fun for dr. Suess which made it even better. Poke bowl was very fresh. The only recommendation: you should have an option to pay more for someone to read dr. Suess as you eat because I would 100% pay for that. Or have a guy walk around and offer and I would've tipped him.

I went there to have an early lunch (11 a.m.). There were many tables available, and I was surprised that all the food was ordered through the app. I liked that because I feel it makes it easier. Also, as many Universal restaurants, the decorations and the theme was amazing!I ordered the chicken & biscuits with spicy honey. The plate came really fast. But the flavor was just ok. The chicken was a bit overcooked. On the other hand, the fries and the biscuit were really good. Especially with the spicy honey sauce, it gave the plate a nice touch.

The inside was on theme and very cool to sit and dine in but the food was horrible we all felt sick after.The bread on the magic meatball was hard the pasta was so dry the meat tasted like mystery meat. I'd avoid eating there.

I tried the chicken and biscuit with hot honey here. It was very good, the biscuit was especially buttery and delicious. The chicken definitely needed the addition of the hot honey for flavor and to help with how dry the chicken was. There was plenty of seating available at the restaurant and it was a nice area with cool Dr. Seuss decorations. The service was good, we ordered on the app and got our food pretty quickly. There was a corndog advertised to be available ordered at the mobile order spot outside but it wasn't available that day, which was disappointing, hopefully I'll be able to try it next time.

Since the remodel/ reopening I think this should be a stop on your next trip to Universal. Out of the dining options in Islands of Adventure this has totally improved. I enjoyed the pizza pasta, hot honey chicken tenders & the contortion corn dog from the pick up window. Was kind of dissappointed that the popcorn shrimp was not deveined. The poke bowl was not the best. The vegan meatball cone was dry as all heck.

There was nothing good to say about this place. The workers looked unhappy with their jobs, the wait for food was 35 mins, and most of the food we ordered was inedible, especially for the price! There are many other better options nearby. AVOID this place!

Come on Universal, what were you guys thinking here with this concept of ordering on your app and having the food be brought to your table. My food came out 25 minutes after I ordered it and the other person in my party had to wait over 30 minutes. It would have been longer than 30 minutes had I not flagged someone down. On top of the bad service, they don't bring your napkins and utensils until after they bring your food out. Please ditch this concept and just make it a full service sit down or order at the counter.
