China King

Situated in one of Deltona's busiest areas, it seems China King played it smart by having a young American female answering the phones and handling the front counter. Nothing against the wonderful Asian population, but often times it's difficult to understand them when I call into Chinese take-out spots. With that said, my order was placed with ease and my food was already waiting for me on the counter when I arrived. That's what I call good service!My order of beef Lo Mein and combination special of sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice was surprisingly good. The food was reminiscent of New York style Chinese takeout so I must say I was taken a back. The Lo Mein tasted good but I will say it had a lot of sauce and was slightly softer than I prefer. The sweet and sour chicken was typical of anywhere but the pork fried rice had a smoked flavor to it which gave it a nice touch. You could really taste that hot fired-up wok! The only negative I would say about this first experience was that the egg roll was not fresh and seemed fried twice yet still more mushy than crispy. I'm interested in trying other menu items but I should pace myself because healthy eating isn't a synonym for Chinese take out.

It's not much, but it's something! This has been my family in-law's go to Chinese place whenever we want something fast and an abundance in. Their portions are huge, and you'll have enough for the whole family (of 5). Just order the large portions. Their prices are standard for Chinese food. I recommend placing an order over the phone, and they usually take less than 20 minutes to complete the order. A lot of foot traffic coming in and out. The only thing worries me is the cleanliness... it looks run down inside so I can't imagine the kitchen.

Eat in here a few times a week for lunch , food is good , actually one of the better Chinese places in the area and the service is always good

Just your typical strip mall Chinese - quick and cheap. The food is okay. We ordered a Pupu platter and chicken with broccoli. I enjoyed the fried shrimps and the egg rolls, but the skewered beef, ribs and wings were dried and bland. The chicken with broccoli was a lot better. But it was still not great.I am giving them 2 stars because the employees were very nice, and it was affordable.

Had a huge bug cooked into our egg fried rice. I don't know how they didn't see it while it was cooking it was very big.

The General Tsos Chicken was "Chickenless". I order this one dish that's my All Time favorite from any Chinese Restaurant I go too. Unfortunately, this location serves fried dough balls without chicken in their General Tso's dish. I was appalled to say the least but too tired to fight over an $9 meal. Use caution with this location.

I stopped in to grab some food. This is not my usual Chinese restaurant but I am here. As I walked up I noticed the front door and windows are filthy. As I walked in I noticed the dirt on the containers hanging behind the counter on the wall. The walls and mirrors on the walls are covered on dirty hand prints and smudges too. The last thing for me was the dead cock roach on the floor. As you walk in look to the left by the last table near the chewed up wood work. Also you cannot see the kitchen in this restaurant. I go by the rule that if what I can see as a customer is not satisfactory then what could the areas I can't see look like??? I left and will not return.

Everyone that order something with chicken got sick. I called to let her know and the only thing she could say is sorry about that. Not what can I do to make it right.

My husband and I eat here all the time. I called them last time and told them the order wasn't right and the lady who picked up the phone did nothing but argue with me. OK I let it slide. Today I order garlic green beans where on the menu does it state Garlic stands for HOT & SPICY.ONCE AGAIN an Argument Not that I am a valued customer what can I do to help make it right?They want to sacrifice my business Because they have so muchNO PROBLEM. BUYER BEWARE OF A SELFISH OWNER AND BUSINESSI spent $14 & tip..This business does not care about people or food.I ordered Shrimp w/lobster sauce( where is vegetables)Lost money but gained true nature off business and owner.Good Luck in the future you have treated me badly 2xs I choose where I spend my money.This food will be in the garbage.Thank you China King in Deltona

Surprised by all the bad reviews. It's been my favorite Chinese takeout place in the area for several years.We even always make sure to get their new scroll calendar to hang up at home every year. Have never had a problem & their food is great!
