Chico's Sub Shop

I used to work in the area this used to be the place we went it was so good and great price. I decided to check if it was still open just as I remembered it so good it's One of those local places that's a hidden gem.

My wife and I love subs. But not just any subs. Like flat top subs with chopped meat. Amazing place to grab a bite. It's my type of sub. The owner was incredibly helpful and made us feel like we were regulars. Incredible experience! Trying to get back there but they close early. The meat itself was chopped beautifully. We always get extra meat any where we go but when I asked for extra meat he said "have you ever been here before?" That is the right response and thank god I didn't cause there is no more room for extra meat. They even gave us a spoon. Don't throw it away. lol. Trust me. You will need it. They also make their own in house fruit punch. That was awesome. You need ice with it. Also a huge tip, do not get extra salt. Not necessary. We did but next time we will do without it. We ate every bit of that sub. If I could say one thing, they need a cheese sauce to put and it would take this to the top of my book! It is at the top of my book for a Philly without the cheese sauce. I love cheese!

You gotta get the Chico's sub! Been coming here forever & have turned so many people on to this place. I can't speak for any of the other subs because I always get the chico which is the best cheesesteak sub out there. Not to mention the most affordable spot for subs. Order your food at the window then just wait a few minutes for your food. The have a dining area during lunch time Monday-Friday but I have always ordered at the window & let's hope you don't get a craving for Chico's on a Sunday because they are closed.

This is an Orlando staple. It has been around forever (since the 70's) and they are known for their take on a cheesesteak. It's not like your regular cheesesteak it's a chopped cheesesteak sandwich with TONS of meat, mayo, white american cheese, and banana peppers (I add onions and mushrooms to mine for a small upcharge). They do have other subs available, however I can't comment on those since this is the only one I have ever got there.Now yes it may not be in the greatest area of town, but we have never had any issues going there. Danny and his mom (who cooks everything) are great and take pride in what they do. I just happened to go by yesterday and was so happy to see them open again after being closed for a month due to this virus thing. Unfortunately due to the meat shortages they don't have large sandwiches available only small and medium at this time. If you want to try something unique and support a local business, I would say you have to try this place! You will not be disappointed!

Very simple food but so delicious. The Chico sub is so addictive and great. It definitely is not your normal cheese steak but who cares as long as its on point and this is !!! I have not tried any other sub but my son has and loves them. PLEASE when you get a chance try them and decide for yourselves, you won't be sorry.

My husband and I live in a nearby neighborhood and I'm so glad that Chico's is local! We are obsessed with the cheesesteak subs which come heaped with meat! The filling is a ground style beef which is unusual but so good. We haven't actually tried anything else because we love the cheesesteaks so much. Make sure to have cash, as they don't take cards!

Just no. Very sketchy inside and out. Dirty. Bland Signature sub. The owner has a very negative attitude towards his patrons. Bad mouthing the walk up window customers...

Wow a local hidden gem that I didn't recall ever visiting although its been around for years! They have bankers hours even on weekends but if you can try their cold or hot subs but they are truly known for their cheesesteak! I love their turkey and roast beef sub with all the regular trimmings including banana peppers and a oil mix that compliments soft bread so well! I love its flavor combined with mayo. The prices are great! If you want a child hood throw back get the fruit punch to drink! Soooo sweet but delicious! A great little spot if you are looking for a good sub from a mom n pop.

Love this place. Subs are good and fairly priced!Owner is very friendly and knows his product. Never had a bad experience. Always get what I ordered and in a timely manner.Fully recommend.

This place was here when I was a kid in the 70's. Their subs are so big and packed you can take the meat and make another sandwich. Very nice people. The steak and cheese is to die for. The mini is big enough for two sandwichs. Cheap too $4.25 for the reg and $3.50 for a mini
