Cherry Pocket was like a trip back in time to an Old Florida Fish Camp. Located on Lake Pierce which is named after our 14th President. You immediately notice the gators, turtles and fish below your table on the water in the outside covered bar and dining room. We arrived at 3:40pm and were allowed to order from the Lunch menu or Dinner menu. We are on a Carnivore Diet so we ordered the ribeye steaks from the Dinner Menu. My Ribeye Oscar included a mushroom bourbon topping which was good but for $40 it could have been a better quality meat. The Table we were seated at was the best on the Patio with water on two sides. The waitress gave us great service and let us stay for a while after eating. There was live music that started at 4:00pm with a woman singing with a guitar and back-up recorded music that was quite pleasant and not too loud to talk.Overall, It was worth the trip and a nice restaurant. The location and ambience were very good. The food was good but not great. We will definitely visit again, particularly when out of town visitors come to visit.

A decent seafood meal, in a unique location right on the shores / dock of the adjoining Lake Pierce. Live music on the outdoor patio plus many small gators floating by made for a fun atmosphere. Definitely a local bar vibe with the "usual suspects" for seafood, steaks, burgers, etc.We placed of meal order and they brought over a fresh loaf of bread along with a sweet butter. I ordered their fried grouper platter, which came with two fish filets, coleslaw and fries. Just be forewarned...this is not actually grouper but a substitute fish called "pangasius".The meal was just fine. My fish was lightly breaded and served with a decent tartar sauce. Fries were pretty standard issue as was the coleslaw. My Mom ordered onion rings as a side to her meal, they had a crispy, chewy batter. For dessert I had a slice of their key lime pie which was bright green and served with meringue on top. It was a little shocking to look at!Might be worth trying one of their other meal options (non-seafood) on another visit to see how those fare.

**5-Star Review for Cherry Pocket Seafood and Steak**Don't let the humble exterior of Cherry Pocket fool you--it's a hidden gem that locals swear by! My friends, who are Florida natives, took me to this spot, and I couldn't be more grateful. We arrived right at 11 AM, ready to dive into their amazing deal: two dozen shrimp, two dozen oysters, and a pitcher of beer for just $48. It felt like we had hit the seafood jackpot!First up, the shrimp. These aren't your average little guys; they're HUGE and perfectly chilled! You can also choose to have them steamed if that's more your style, but trust me, the chilled ones are where it's at. And the oysters? You have the option of steamed or raw, and they are so fresh and delicious they might just make you forget about everything else! Now, let's talk dessert! My friend ordered the chocolate cake, and it was so moist and decadent that I was half tempted to take it home with me. I went for the carrot cake, and wow--it was so good that even the pickiest grandma would be envious! All desserts are baked in-house, which really adds to the charm. We also have to give a shout-out to Lacey, the oyster master and shrimp steamer extraordinaire. She juggled the bustling crowd like a pro, making sure everyone had what they needed without breaking a sweat. Seriously, she's a rock star! After our feast, we headed out to the patio where live music was playing, and the tiki bar vibes made it feel like a mini-vacation. We even explored the gift shop, which had a variety of cute and unique Florida souvenirs.Finding Cherry Pocket can be a bit tricky since it's tucked away, but plug it into your GPS, and trust me, you won't regret it. If you're in the area, this place is a must-visit! Treat yourself--you deserve it!

Cool place! It's a bit out of the way in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive. It's kind of like a fishing camp that has lots of small cabin rentals, rvs, and boat slips. The restaurant was absolutely packed on a Saturday around 2pm...we waited about an hour for an outdoor table for six. We really enjoyed the live music on the deck and had a good server. The wait for food took a good while so I recommend getting an app or two and enjoying the music and water view. There were actually a lot of baby gators in the water right next to the deck to watch. The cracker platter appetizer was a good way to go for our table of six...all fried, but good. Out of all that we ordered, we believe the key west platter, the blackened shrimp, and the chicken fettuccine was the best. We don't recommend the boil special, it was bland and only one crab cluster for an order for two. Overall, it's a really neat place and worth checking out.

This place is pretty amazing. Nice, courteous service. Awesome food - out table ordered the fried shrimp, fried scallops and also the crab legs and a child's grilled cheese. All came out hot and delicious. French fries and Cole slaw were even good. I enjoyed a pina colada and we also had a coconut spritzer which we both raved about as well. We saw gators in the water. They had live music that started right about 6:30pm. Musician sounded amazing. We will go back to check out the Sea Plane adventure and some of the other offerings. Very good experience overall. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Food was really good. The atmosphere is super fun, live music was good. It gets busy and you might have to wait a long time to be seated and for food.

The ambiance is rustic and fun. Very clean! Kim was serving us at the bar and she was very attentive and friendly. Food came quickly. We also tried the raw oysters. Very good! The food was abundant and tasty! I loved the garlic scallops! The house salad dressing was so good! Cherry flavored! Highly recommend!

I had a grouper platter with onion rings and coleslaw from here. It also came with a side salad. The salad was pretty good and it came with a sweet dressing. The dish was delicious. I ordered gator bites but they never showed up. However a friend offered me a piece and it tasted like chewy chicken. I like the atmosphere of this place. It's right by a lake so I got to see a couple baby alligators.

This place is one of our Most Favorite places to have a Friday (afterwork) adult beverage... if you catch my drift...The crowd here varies in ages(I have seen young kids, babies, young adults, and 21-30-ish) but most commonly we noticed it is mostly 40's and Up! Love the live music which is always great! The beer here is Fresh! Enough saiid. The service can vary from great to say-something-to the manager if you want; however, it has NEVER deterred us from coming back. We don't come here for the service... we come here for the friendly and welcoming ambiance and great time!Food is steady and consistent... always good!Again, we love this place and I hope you do too. Give it a try if you are in the area.

Great concept, poor execution. Arrived early with a group of 6 to try and avoid long wait. Put on list and issued a buzzer to wait. Approx one hour later ... still waiting. Checked with hostess only to learn that we were issued a buzzer that was never added to the cue. They seated us only a few minutes later. Sat at the table unattended for a while and finally approached by the manager who took our order for drinks. Over another hour to get food. Needles to say, next time will catch our own fish, raise our own livestock, process, age the beef and cook it ourselves to save time. This would be a great place for a restaurant. Service is missing in action. Sad.
