Chefing It Up Pizza Cafe

First visit since we drive past the little hole in the wall pizza joint in Groveland. It was worth a shot and we had some extra time. First impression was a hole in the wall pizza joint inside. 1 booth and a bar for 6 with a beer tap marked inop. Hmmm. Menu looking interesting and dining facilities were eclectic.Ordered a pie and owner Vinny came out. Asked if we wanted to sit outside. On the street? NO, he had a small eclectic courtyard with his fire stove and grill.Pizza came out and OMG good. Side of marinara dipping sauce and real silverware! After a few slices we boxed up the other half for later. 2 cannolis that were great and we were dun!Bought a jar of his signature marinara sauce and put this one in our book! Vinny, the owner and chef, was very personable and loves his trade... and it shows!

I loved their Sicilian pizza. The thick crust is delicious and their sauce is outstanding. It is not to acidic or sweet,..just perfect. I didn't care for the tiny pepperoni...especially how they curled up into crunchy little circles ...but I was the only one who felt that way. Everyone else loved them. I will definitely be a return customer.

The best pizza in the area! The crust was perfect and the sauce taste amazing. I can't wait to try again.Service was great and it's a cozy place.

It was hard to determine which door was the one to get in. I wasn't the only one that had this issue. The people that arrived before us and after us all made the same comment.The people that worked there were all very friendly.The pizza was good and the crust was crispy.

We have had Chefing it up pizza in the past but every time we call to place an order...no answer! And yes, we checked to see if they are open & it says that they are...we have just given up at this point. Besides, they are probably out of it anyway...

Excellent Sicilian pizza and Chicken Parmesan! True, authentic family owned Italian food at its finest. Very personable experience which is nearly impossible to find now days. Thank you Chef!

I ordered takeout and it was so yummy! The cheese calzone was baked perfectly and not soggy inside, the cheese pizza was delicious too. My husband enjoyed his sub.

Finally tried Chefing It Up and glad we did. We ordered a Sicilian pizza and it was delicious! There was plenty of sauce and cheese and not overcooked. The garlic knots were delicious. They have chunks of fresh garlic. The salad had a mix of different greens but it could've used some more dressing. Overall we will definitely be back! It's definitely a take out place because there are only a couple tables. Beware- they are Pepsi products!!

Ive only tried the pizza and meatballs.... both mediocre... the dough on pizza is too thick, sauce was bland.... the meatballs are definately not italian, they are completely beef with no flavor. Real italian meatballs need to be beef and pork with italian seasonings and pecorino cheese. Im a Brooklyn boy born n raised.... i know pizza... i know italian food... this isnt it.
