They took away the gift shop?!Sorry, I get attached to nostalgic spots at Disney. But, as the Aerosmith Roller Coster will make way for the new Muppets home, Carousel Coffee has made its new home at The Boardwalk Hotel. I see Disney making these quick Grab & Go spots in other hotels. The Riviera has a similar concept coffee spot. My wife and I woke up and trust me, the last thing you want to do is drink coffee at a Disney park. Yuckko! (Is that even a word?)It was nice to get our coffee at Carousel Coffee, sit in the lobby and just take it all in. The Boardwalk hotel is an iconic hotel for us, I can still see my mom with my kids looking at the gingerbread house. Wearing the Boardwalk DVC sweatshirt I bought her at the gift shop. Now, all I can do is pour myself a coffee and ask for a DVC discount. Which Carousel Coffee does not offer!

Carousel Coffee is the coffee shop at Disney's Boardwalk Resort, located directly off the lobby. It is very small and to go only, it is also only open for breakfast and lunch. This is exactly what it says in its name, it is a coffee shop. This is mainly what they serve along with a few food items. There is a small selection of pastries as well as some grab and go items for food. There are a few cold bottled drinks and then their coffee station. My wife and I have never been here since we have not stayed at the Boardwalk, however, we have heard their coffee is really good, so we decided to check it out. Let me first say, this is really built for those staying at the Boardwalk. Disney has become very difficult with regards to parking at hotels without a reservation. To come to Carousel Coffee, you would need to walk over from EPCOT, have a reservation at the Boardwalk or being at one of the hotels on the water (Swan, Dolphin, Yacht or Beach Club). We had breakfast reservations and went early to just enjoy the Boardwalk view and grab some coffee. Even then security gave us a hard time since we were early for our reservation. The cast members working were very nice, welcomed us, made conversation and even recommended their favorite coffee to us. It was a very nice little interaction. We went with simple coffee drinks, iced caramel latte for my wife and then a double espresso flat white for myself. Both were very good. They did have lots of different flavor options for your coffee including specialty ones that are only there for a short time. Their coffee is from Joffrey's, which is an outside coffee company Disney uses a lot, but it is very good coffee. We also wanted to try a food item. I went with overnight oats which were topped with fruit. They were very good, seemed to be made fresh and was a pretty decent size for breakfast. My wife ordered her favorite- chocolate croissant, which was very crispy and filled with chocolate and topped with powder sugar and almonds. She mentioned that she had never had a croissant as crispy as this one, but she enjoyed it. I believe it was fresh as well since it was softer towards the middle. The sliced almonds on top were a nice addition to the chocolate. Again, this is a decent coffee shop. It is more designed for hotel guests as it is very difficult to get to (especially just for coffee), but if you are nearby, I would recommend coming here. I know we will be back, getting a coffee, sitting on the boardwalk with the view is a great morning in my book. Add it to your list! Aces!

Carousel Coffee is the little coffee shop located at Disney's Boardwalk Resort. It is located right off the lobby and is only open for breakfast and lunch. It is what it sounds like, a coffee shop. They have a small selection of pastry and grab and go items as well as a coffee station. We have never really stopped here since we have not stayed at the Boardwalk, however, we recently were able to check it out. We had a breakfast reservation but went earlier to enjoy the boardwalk. We had heard about this coffee shop, but I don't think it's talked about enough. This is really for the guests staying here, it's not necessarily a place you would purposely head to the Boardwalk to go, however, if you are nearby, check it out. The staff was super friendly, it was quiet, no one was in there, but us and it was an overall great experience. The two ladies working here we so nice, they chatted with us as they made our coffee and were very pleasant to interact with. We decided to grab a pastry and a coffee. I went with the chocolate croissant and my husband grabbed the overnight oats. The croissant was very crispy surprisingly, filled with chocolate and topped with powder sugar. At first, I was surprised and wasn't sure if I enjoyed such a crispy croissant, but as I got more towards the center it was very good. I would have preferred to have it warmed so the chocolate was warm and gooey, but it was good. My husband loved his overnight oats. They had some fruit on the top and had a great taste. For coffee I went for an iced caramel latte, and he ordered a double espresso. Both were really good and fresh. They use Joffrey's coffee. They also have a special drink of the season which at the time was still pumpkin. Overall, this is a great stop especially if you are staying here. I would prefer for it to be open later since there are a lot of nighttime entertainment options on the boardwalk. I think a coffee in the evening could be really great especially if you are headed to one of their entertainment options that are open late. But I would recommend it. Check it out!

Great place to stop for coffee. Old gift shoo renovated to be a coffee place. No passholder discounts. Little expensive. All the same baked goods available here are available everywhere else on property where you do / can get your AP discount. Nice to know you can get espresso beverages here. Kind staff.

We came to visit this new coffee shop in the Boardwalk Resort at Disney. The cafe is beautiful with a nostalgic carousel theme, light colors, and beautiful tile work. The staff were very welcoming and kind. To drink, we got an iced vanilla latte and a nitro cold brew. We really liked the latte, but the cold brew wasn't amazing. That said, the rest of their menu looks great and they also have beautiful pastries. Definitely a good place to stop on the Boardwalk.
