I was looking to satisfy my taco craving and decided to give this local gem a try. Service was friendly and I had no problems placing an order. I ordered three tacos with rice and beans. Everything was quite tasty and I would order here again. Other customers were waiting for orders and/or placing orders. The place seemed to be quite popular. I didn't really venture around the store too much, but I could see that it is a quick/convenient store where one can find snacks, ingredients, and more.

This is a little Mexican food market that also serves Mexican food as well...They have very good traditional style tacos but also other things like burritos and quesadilla etc. The prices are excellent! The employees are very friendly and the service is very good...While you are here you can do some shopping for fruits and vegetables and they have a meat counter as well..You'll hear traditional Mexican music playing in the background and it has that old mom and pops feel to it like little corner stores going way back...Check it out!

This place has what you need for fast cooking. There is an abundance of Spanish food from rice to Saxon to meats. The prices are a little bit above retail but worth the quick stop for immediate needs. The store is a little pricey unorganized but if you ask they know where it is. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I'd go there again because they have someThings not normally sold in regular markets. Stop by for yourself.

So, do you ever wander into a Mexican restaurant and there are mostly Mexican's eating there? Well, Carniceria La Calentana is not a restaurant perse. It does not need to but it is an excellent choice to satisfy that craving for a perfect taco. Be it Carnitas, Chicharron or Asada. I wish they had guacamole as a side dish. I still take it! By the way, take a friendwith you because beer is only available in the big cans!.

If you are looking for tortillas, need some Mexican spices or other special products, look no further- They've got you covered. They have a counter that serves fresh meat and another one that serves authentic Mexican fair (not Americanized crap). I wasn't able to understand the cashier's English so I ended up just walking out empty handed.

I have always said that the best Mexican food is found in the most humble of surroundings. We were going to see a movie in Deltona and figured that we could try a new place in an area that we don't often get to.Carniceria La Calentana Dos is definitely one of those places. It is more a Mexican market with a few tables seemingly thrown in a corner as an afterthought, but the tacos, sopes, tortas, burritos and other Mexican treats coming out of this kitchen are pretty amazing. I went with three tacos (two carne asada tacos and one chorizo taco) and one sopes (chorizo). The tacos were two dollars each and the sopes was three dollars. One of my dining companions had a carne asada burrito, which was eight dollars. The tacos and sopes were excellent, as were the accompanying sauces were very good. The burrito was big, though the only complaint that I heard was that the tortilla was cooked only on one side. Whether it was an oversight or the norm to do this, I cannot say.The ordering process is to go up to the cash register and order. The girl who took our order was extremely friendly and energetic. They brought the food to our table. After lunch, she also assisted in finding us corn husks so.we can make tamales at home.I would definitely recommend a visit here.
