Capital Hot Chicken

I was very excited to see this place was open in my neighborhood! I had the sandwich fries and 1 tender on the side meal. I am a lightweight when it comes to spice as I don't want any one thing to overwhelm the bite so I went with mild. I enjoyed the sandwich a lot. The slaw and pickles add a cool crunchy element and the tender was cooked nicely! The capital sauce ties it all together. It's one of those sauces you could put on anything! The fries were cooked just right and the extra tenders came with a slice of bread so you could make a little taco with it if you choose. They serve Pepsi products which is awesome. Fountain or bottle to go if you like. I will be back! I want to try the Hot spice level at least once!! Thanks for a great lunch!

I was in the area and I decided to try Capital Hot, which was bookmarked for a while. This place is situated in a sleepy shopping center. There were some families eating, but not a hip crowd. I order a hot sandwich and some hot wings. The sandwich was hot yet cautiously mild. The wings were well dusted and hotter, and very crunchy. The fries were really good. The food was good, the place is quiet. I took the leftover wings home and they were great the next day. I may stop again if I am in the area.

I lived in Nashville for 13 years and ate hot chicken on a regular basis. I am consistently disappointed when trying a Nashville-style hot chicken anywhere else. I was very impressed with this place. I will be back frequently!! The staff was friendly and the chicken was done right. I got the tenders that had a great balance of heat and flavor. Please support this place as we have so few good non-chain restaurants in Oviedo.
