Cal’s Kitchen

Absolutely delicious! I love "hole in the wall" places / hidden gems...this fits the bill! I got the fruit pastry (pictured) and was SO pleased with it. The restaurant has a really cool vibe and is super relaxed and fun. DEFINITELY recommend Cal's Kitchen!

Wanted to try this place as we saw it, bookmarked it on Yelp and then had someone recommend it. First of all the parking lot is dirt and gravel, not ideal for motorcycles. Second of all it's super small. 3 tables and 6 chairs. There's a loveseat, (more like for waiting on your takeout) and 2 picnic tables under a covering. You order at the counter. They had salads, subs, pizza and pasta. We got a 16" Hawaiian pizza with green olives. They also have a 12". Beverages are bottled Coke products and some bottles of tea. They have Coke Zero which is very surprising. Pizza was ready in about 20 minutes. They brought it out with paper plates and napkins. It was piping hot (I burnt the roof of my mouth!). Thin crispy crust. It was ok, not great. I'd get something different if I return. Guy was friendly.

I had high expectations for this pizza after some recommendations, but unfortunately it was far below what we expected. The pizza dough is good and tasty but it is the only thing that stands out. The side of meatballs with only 3 meatballs that tastes like food from the previous day. And the Margherita pizza without flavor. I can't tell about the service because my order was to go, phone order was ok. Also ambience I have no comments since was a to go order

Great spot just off of Mountverde Academy campus. Fantastic sandwiches and pizza and the garlic knots tasted like home baked goodness. Comfy couch and chairs to hang out to wait for your order. Not the best eat in place atmosphere-wise but still a very friendly vibe. Good place to meet up. The adjoining coffee house is quite good as well.

incredible food and friendliest owners you could imagine. I wish I could give 10 Stars because this small town restaurant is just that good. The Pizza is unbeatable, you cant find anything like it anywhere else. The staff are well trained and the cooking deserves Michelin stars.

Tried three pizzas: white, pepperoni/sausage, and Hawaiian. All three were terrific. White pizza was my favorite with whole roasted garlic cloves, spinach, and crispy bacon.I even tried some anchovies with the Caesar salad. Usually not a fan, but they were great.Looking forward to trying this pizza again.

Earlier in the week I met this owner at the Coffee Shop of Horrors (the two are adjoined). Hubby & I decided to stop here a few days later on a Friday night around 8 p.m. We walked in and the chairs were already up on the tables for the night. Apparently, Montverde closes up early. But the lovely lady stayed and took our order for sausage pizza (says they make the sausage there), even after I said that wasn't necessary. And WOW - the pizza was outstanding!! The sausage was delicious! And I cannot say enough about the kindness of the staff. I do not live very close to Cal's Kitchen, but I will return to try more of their food.

Great family owned restaurant with fresh ingredients and a surprisingly large menu. It's small inside, as most folks around Montverde order take out, but if you want to eat there, grab a picnic table outside if the weather is nice. Really good pizzas, pasta, and stromboli.

Great food, great service, just wish they were open on Sunday's. Stop if you are passing through.
