I have really liked this diner in the past but the last couple of visits have been pretty awful. Today I went for lunch and sat for a couple of minutes before a server came up to get my drink order. She brought it back right away and said that my server would be right over to take my order. Almost 10 minutes later the original server came back and said "Hi, I'll just take your order". Ok.I asked for a chef salad and a cup of soup. almost 15 minutes passed before i got her attention and asked where my food was. She then brought the soup, which was extremely peppery, and said my salad would be ready in a minute. A little while later another server brought a salad that was definitely NOT a chef salad. It was lettuce, a couple of tomato slices and a big pile of bacon bits. I told her that that wasn't a chef salad and she took it back to the kitchen where someone, the cook I presume, told her "that is a chef salad" and proceeded to argue with her. The last words I heard before I finished my soup and left was someone in the kitchen say "This is a restaurant being run by teenagers". I felt bad for them. Never did get the salad. I hope that they get it turned around and these past couple of visits aren't now the norm.
