Madison L. "I came to Torchy's for the first time with my co-workers and we had a great experience. We got the green chili queso with chips. It was salty, creamy, and delicious. For my meal, I got three tacos. Next time I would only get one or two because they are much bigger than I expected! I got the fried shrimp taco, the fried avocado taco, and the democrat. All of them were amazing, but the shrimp was my favorite. The batter was so flavorful and all the veg and condiments were so fresh. The beef on the democrat was so tender and rich. The avocado was thick, creamy, and fried to perfection. All of my tacos were stellar! So much so that I forgot to take pictures :( Service was good and fast. This location is new and has a clean feel with good parking. The weather was nice, so we ate outside in their cute sitting area. I will definitely be back to try more!"

Tina F. "We go here several times a month mainly due to the reasonable prices, good food and atmosphere along with the great service we receive from a couple of our favorite servers, like Andrea and Brooke. They offer a monthly margarita of the month. It used to be $5, then went to $6. On Monday, it looks like it is now $7. The monthly Marg is premixed, but depending on the drink of the month, some have been pretty strong. They offer a wide range of food. Most people are probably very familiar with Chili's as it's a national chain but wanted to point out a couple things people may miss out on. The 3 for me deal is one of the better deals you can get here. In some cases, you are paying less for an entree than ordering it by itself on the menu, yet it comes with an appetizer and drink. The bottomless soup and salad is a good option when you want soup and salad and can't decide. You can choose house or caesar salad along with any of the soup choices. You don't have to stick with that choice when you get a refill and it's only $1-2 more than the standard single serve soup and salad entree. This location is managed well and looking forward to visiting again next week."

Katie F. "OK so Chili's is definitely taking the cake this week for cheapest meal. I got a full drink with a double shot of two different types of rum for $8.59; on top of that I got bottomless chips and salsa for seven dollars. My whole meal was only 1595 before tax. I don't know why everyone's hating on Chili's but I'm definitely coming back to try the Tito's strawberry margarita as well as their mango margarita which I heard was really good. The service was super quick I did come for lunch so I haven't come for a dinner service yet; however the girl that's the bartender is also the server for the tables at lunch. The ambience of Chili's kind of reminds me of Applebee's but it's a little bit more upscale I guess. I will also be returning to try some of their other foods I know they have really good burgers and she did recommend the quesadilla bowl minus the quesadillas. 10/10 If you haven't been to this Chili's it is off 535 which is the main street to get to Disney Springs it is also right next to a broken down macaroni grill and a hungry crab."

Michelle C. "Man, oh, man! A good reason to miss Kissimmee is because there's a Taco Maker Fast Food restaurant. Taco Maker is a " Commercialized Mexican" fast food chain with traditionally Puerto Rican seasoning. Why? Because their Headquarters are in Puerto Rico and they adapted the menu to Puerto Rican taste; therefore, do not expect legit Mexican seasoning and taste. Nevertheless, if you enjoy Mexican and Puerto Rican food, you will find Taco Maker makes an interesting concept. So if you know anything about Kissimmee, you know that the Puerto Rican population is huge, thus the reason a Taco Maker was opened in Kissimmee and has continued to have success over the years. It's located in John Young Pkway, almost intersecting with 192. Here you will find Taco salad, hard tacos, softs tacos and wraps. You can select if you would like whatever you are having with chicken, beef or just smashed beans. I usually go for Combo #9, the "Tacada" ($6.99) with their chicken as protein. Has 3 tacos which you can select them to be all hard tacos or all soft tacos a a combination of soft/hard tacos, with your protein selection; I wanted all 3 to be soft and hard tacos so had to upgrade for $1. The combo comes with a Fountain drink and nachos, which they provide (on the side) a about 4 different sauces for you to pick from (mild to extra spicy). I would definitely recommend paying an extra .89 cents to upgrade the nachos to "baby nachos" where they give you a bit more nachos covered in a mixture of shredded cheese! All in all, this facility is clean, employees are friendly and welcoming and food is tasty and prepared at the moment. With having upgraded the nachos, I paid a total of $8.88, including taxes. Not bad for 3 tacos and a batch of tasty nachos!"

Someone recommended these tacos to me and honestly they are the best birria tacos I've had in a while. It wasn't greasy like some birria tacos tend to be, the steak was seasoned well and there were three dipping sauces - salsa, some kind of garlic/green sauce and consommé (dipping oil).I typically say don't take my word for it but this time, just do it. I mean it was a taco place at a gas station... well I started seeing billboards for this place on Lake Underhill near the Florida Hospital. It's no longer a place in a gas station.... This place is actually in a plaza across the street. The place is bran spanking new. I was adventurous and decided to take my wife and daughter for dinner... this place boasts of "fresh" guac...When you arrive, the outside is very nice with several signs confirming the fresh guac and fresh salsa. The salsa does NOT disappoint. They offer a red sauce and a green sauce. The red sauce is tad bit on the sweet side, but good and the green sauce is "caliente" hot but sooo good. I ordered a made to order burrito. They have several meat selections and plenty of toppings including "sweet plantains"????????? Well, that's not really Mexican, but it's nice that they offer that. They prices range from $8 and up but they also have a $5 kids menu.Drinks are fountain style, but they also offer Jarritos brand soda bottles and for the peeps that like "cerveza" beer with their tacos, the offer Modelo and other selections. It was about 30 something bucks for three people. The guac is fresh... but it had no salt... fine with me but most people like it with some salt. It is served in a little bitty cup, not what I like, but you get that and some chips in little bag for $2.50.Not a bad place."

Salsa Restaurant And Bar

Salsa Restaurant And Bar

★★★☆☆ 3.4 (53)

Dave O. "Another Mexican Restaurant, I sometime ask myself aren't they all the same? I think it's difficult to be anything but typical if you're a Mexican Restaurant. I've found very few that separate themselves from the one down the road no matter what direction you go, it seems the business model has long ago been established - pile on the high carbohydrate selections, serve giant pre-mix margaritas and make sure the draft Mexican Beers are served ice cold in a heavy glass, of course don't forget the bottomless basket of free chips and salsa.Honestly I rarely love Mexican Restaurants that have names I can pronounce - the easier the pronunciation the less authentic is my rule of thumb. I found myself here two nights in a row, no it wasn't because I'm a die hard Mexican food fan or that I can't resist the urge to over indulge - this was more about accommodating a few out of town work associates, the close proximity of our hotel and uhm that's it I guess or yeah it was happy hour, dinner time and we wanted to wash away the work day.First visit - a Tuesday night this place was busy, it's seems Tuesday night is Mexican Food night in Tavares. The restaurant was filled with servers running around delivering food and drinks from the bar, our server was extremely friendly dressed for tips in her short shorts and making multiple stops at our table to bring items that she forgot, if she was solely judged on attentiveness she gets five stars because she was at our table apologizing all night. Our drinks arrived one at a time the complimentary chips and salsa were refilled often and our second round of queso arrived long before our entrees, it was so obvious the kitchen was struggle she threw in the cheese dip for free. I ordered the steak chimichanga it arrived hot with lots of beans and rice along with the assortment of guacamole, sour cream the chopped vegetables and another one of the many beers we consumed. The food looked like I expected, it tasted as I expected and the portion was what I expected.Second Visit - the following Wednesday night, the atmosphere was very different, the restaurant was empty, the wait service was a mere skeleton of the night before and it was much more subdued it was like the festival had ended the night before and we arrived after the party ended. Our server was focused but boring, no bubbly personality it was as if he drew the short straw and had to work, but he did provide everything we needed but again forgetful (it now appears training is not a priority here). I decided to scale back, I had a few chips and ordered the number nine combo - the stuffed fried poblano, a chicken tamale and a ground beef taco no rice, no beans and a half dozen ice cold Dos Equis ambers to wash it all down. It was the typical Mexican Restaurant experience just okay..."

Abe A. "Chuy's is a local Mexican restaurant, with different locations around the Orlando area. This one in particular is the closest to our home, only about 15 minutes from Winter Garden, located on 192 near Disney and Kissimmee. We have been here numerous times with my in laws as well as my wife and I. Their vibe is very colorful, lots of things to look at; pictures, hubcap ceilings, and funny teeshirts which they actually sell. Booths and tables are available, as well as tables outside and bar seating. This location is pretty popular for tourists staying nearby as well as locals dining in. The wait can get pretty long if you are going later in the evening. We try to go early especially when the family is here. The positive about having to wait, is the bar area. They make great margaritas and go perfect with the food. You can also order drinks at your table. My wife loves the Mango margaritas, and I prefer more of the classic, but I have tried a few different kinds. They are all actually really good. Your meals start with their chips, which are thin, salty and always served hot. They also have a very chunky style salsa. We also really like the creamy jalapeno sauce; you have to ask for it sometimes. But it so delicious and we love it with the chips. This sauce does have a kick though, which I enjoy. I usually order the same thing, the Cobb salad. It is huge, very fresh and actually really tasty. I also tend to like the fajitas, sometimes my wife and I will share the fajitas for two. She usually gets the cheese enchiladas with tex mex sauce and no beans, double rice. She also likes to add cheese to the rice and add the creamy jalapeno sauce to it. The other dishes we have tried are the burritos (giant), the tortilla soup and the fried avocado, which used to be a special. I haven't seen it in a while, but it was delicious. The fajitas are really tasty and something we ordered a lot to-go during the pandemic as a way to help the restaurants and because we didn't want to cook. They come with the classic toppings and fresh flour tortillas. All of their tortillas are made fresh in house. Overall, we love this type of food and for a "chain" this one is pretty good. It is probably our favorite chain Mexican restaurant around us. Everything seems fresh, the servers are usually always nice (the hostesses not so much) but great service from the servers. Their drink are great, you actually get a great value for your price of the drink. Overall, I would say check it out. Aces!"

Great portions for the cost, and they were very tasty. I suggest the Ménage A Taco- it's a you pick 3 option. We checked on Yelp for reviews before we visited and someone complained about cigarette butts in a cement "planter" that didn't have any plants in it.
