"Our small trio stopped in here for dinner tonight while here for work at a conference down the street. The location in Ivanhoe Village is excellent. It is centrally placed near plenty of other places to grab a drink or bite to eat and also to enjoy the lake. It is a more intimate place with maybe ten tables, and it has a great view of the kitchen and sushi bar. Our group ordered some miso soup, the shrimp dumplings (Shrimp Shumai) and a hand full of of rolls - Mango Tango (without cream cheese), Heaven, spicy tuna, and California. They all came out beautifully presented on a wood platter. Everything we had was delicious! The Mango Tango roll had the sweetest mango pieces perfectly paired with the salmon. The classic spicy tuna and California roll were fresh and on point. The Heaven roll had the coconut shrimpIn the middle of the roll mixed with some avocado. All around excellent service and delicious food! There are plenty of non-sushi options as well such as Japanese dishes or noodle soups. Ta-Ke has some of the most adventurous types of sushi, but they are well worth the try."

"Oh my goodness, what a lovely Thai/ Sushi spot! Truly a little gem in Lakeland, in my opinion. All of the sushi rolls I tried were fantastic, especially the St. Pete, which was a mayo type roll and ooooh yes just fantastic, that is all. I got a yellow curry dish, and to be honest it wasn't my favorite. I felt it was lacking a lot of flavor... but also I just don't think my pallet was as compatible with that particular dish, rather than reflecting that it was poor quality food. My friend got one of the pad Thai/ rice noodle dishes and that was really yummy, so the food is obviously good, I think I just picked the wrong dish for my preferences. Lastly, the dessert was wonderful! Fried donuts with a condensed milk sauce, and though it may not sound like much it was just divine and I wish we had gotten more donuts! (though it's probably a good thing we didn't, haha) Our waiter was an absolute hoot, the sweetest and most hilarious guy, I feel maybe he was the owner or manager or some higher up, but he made our visit all the better. Such a charismatic place that will become one of my regular spots!"

The sushi and sashimi were melt-in-your-mouth fresh, with each roll offering a diverse range of flavors to suit any palate. The presentation was stunning too. Our server, a friendly, attentive young woman from Rio de Janeiro, made our visit even more enjoyable. She was proactive, checking on us frequently to ensure we had everything we needed, and her warmth and professionalism really stood out. We ended up going twice in one week, we couldn't get enough!The decor is beautiful and the servers are great - they're always stopping by to make sure there's nothing you need, or to change the paper or temperature of the grill.The price is on par with other hotpot spots but this one also has the benefit of including unlimited sushi. All together it's about $36 for hotpot, Korean bbq, and sushi.There are a TON of options for both the hotpot and the Korean bbq. I've opted for the spicy broth every time I go. It's Szechuan pepper so it is SPICY. I always remove the peppers immediately otherwise I'm coughing up spice by the time I hit about halfway through the bowl. But it is flavorful!The meats and toppings provided are all fresh and flavored very well. The sushi is super fresh as well and they offer a surprising amount of rolls.I highly recommend this spot, it kicked off my hotpot addiction!"

The chefs are passionate about each dish they create and let you know it. The first couple of dishes are all works of art. Half the time I don't even know what I'm eating but I know the flavors are all incredible and blend so well together. The sushi is obviously the star of this place, and it's all incredible. Since we let them know we were celebrating a birthday, the entire serving staff even came out at the end of dinner and sang Happy Birthday in both Japanese and English! PRO TIP: Make sure that you download the app and apply for the birthday discount at least one week prior to your dining experience. We unfortunately waited too late for that and were only told after filling everything out that there would be a delay as far as the freebie being loaded onto the account.
