"Uncle Tony is a family run business and it shows. When you walk in the door, they treat you the same way, like family. It shows in their food too. All the stuff on the menu is bbq that they themselves love to cook and eat. You can see that love in the flavors of the food. Especially that brisket. The brisket is insane! Top of the line. They also have the Dino ribs. Huge!!! Full of flavor. None of it needs sauce but incase you do like it, they have a line of their own house made sauces that are amazing. The sides are all standouts too. Especially the Mac and cheese and Cole slaw. Basically whatever you think would be tasty at a place like this... lives up to your expectations. Always a pleasure going back here."
"I've been on the hunt for great soul food since we moved and Oley's is it. The vibe is what you want, old school pictures on the wall, the same paint job from the 90's , aunties arguing about the menu and a server that sits down to take your order. What I liked: the fried chicken, whiting, greens, yams and Lima beans were all great. Just ok : I wasn't crazy about the cornbread or cabbage. But that's just personal preference. Already been back and will be going back to try more."
"Ordered tonight for delivery and can't wait to have it again. What an incredible value for the price. We ordered catfish which comes with two sides my mom picked collards and mashed potatoes with gravy. It was a large portion but she just couldn't stop eating it and ate it all. I ordered the stew chicken. It comes over rice of your choice I chose rice and peas. It came with several pieces of delicious chicken. It also came with two sides I chose green beans and cabbage. Both were full of flavor I couldn't even eat half of it the portion was so big. I may have also ordered a spicy patty and side of jerk chicken. I inhaled the patty and had a piece of the jerk chicken which was full of flavor. It had some heat but I could eat it spicier but it had perfect flavors. Still have two pieces of the jerk chicken left as well. I highly recommend trying them out. You won't be disappointed"
"Do yourself a favor, pop in and get yourself a DELICIOUS plate. So good, I drive 30-40 mins for this soul food."
"This place is one of Orlando's best for takeout Soul Food. Im a sides kinda girl so I typically go for a veggie plate; a selection of three sides with rice or dressing and corn muffin. When I find a side I dislike I'll update the review."
"The food was GOOD! The collard greens was seasoned to perfection, the shrimp was seasoned and fried perfectly, the sweet potatoes were just right not too sweet and that corn bread muffin was chefs kiss! The employees were very friendly and let's not talk about the music is was a whole vibe!"
"Delicious! Tasty! Come out to Mount Dora and check out this neat and adorable BBQ spot. Had lunch there yesterday, enjoyed mac n cheese and curry chicken and loads more offered... the staff is absolutely friendly and so helpful. I highly recommend."

From the moment you pull in, you smell the smoked meats. And when you leave your clothes, will smell like smoke meat as well lol. Everyone from the staff to the people that were in the environment were also so friendly and helpful ! They have a ton of food options. They even have a Mac daddy burger, which is a huge burger with their amazing mac & cheese on top. It's definitely something that I recommend that you share but they have lots of different combo options. You can get two meets with two sides for 24.99 which is a great deal!My favorite had to be the brisket and their mac & cheese, as well as their cornbread !

A blend of BBq and Caribbean?!? Yes please! This is my favorite Caribbean spot in town! I try to stop in here at least once a month. Their jerk chicken is some of the best I've had! It's very saucey, which I like. I get it with rice and peas and hush puppies - but they have a lot of side options. Parking is easy and service is always friendly. I just wish they offered beer! If you want some good bbq or Caribbean, definitely check this place out!

As a soul food aficionado, I am shocked that I hadn't heard of Angels. On the way to the zoo I went into google and found myself only a few minutes from this restaurant and happily took the detour. Service was great, the place hasn't been updated in years which is key for a soul food spot and everyone serving looked related which is also key. Food was buffet style so you could see what was available and it was so, so good. Also, the price compared to the portions is beating out some of my other fave spots. We've already been back since our first visit. I'm not big on going to Sanford but I'll be coming here for another plate as soon as possible.

This is a great place to get some high quality soul food. The food is always top notch. The dressing is the only thing that I would stay away from. But the short ribs are , pan seared tilapia too good, the rutabagas like your grandma made em. Seriously good food and great customer service I have never had a bad experience here. Also ask for the pepper sauce.

I found it just ok- we stopped for lunch and it is located in a marketplace building with other eateries and a brewery- very little dining space inside, we opted to take one of the few tables outside. We weren't advised that they had lunch specials, and ended up ordering a dinner plate to split. The bread (I know, not really the meal) was hard to bite into, the mac-n-cheese over-cooked and over-seasoned & was not at all my taste. Black beans and rice was nothing special. The brisket was good, fatty and not a huge portion for the cost. We have definitely had better. Thursday lunch could have been better.

The homemade chips were insanely good. We also got salsa and guacamole which were great! The tacos I got were the crimini mushroom tacos which were amazing!! The shells were thick enough to hold the taco together and the flavor was unreal. Yum!!

"After a few drinks at Persimmon Hollow we headed over to Neighbors for a snack. They're owned by the same people so it was a biased recommendation from the bartender, but a good one for sure. It's a walk up window with a simple menu layout. Friendly staff with witty tip jar sayings. My boyfriend's response was hilarious.. "Wow these are massive tacos- what a deal. If I lived in DeLand I'd be so big." They definitely did not disappoint! Great portions for the cost, and they were very tasty. I suggest the Ménage A Taco- it's a you pick 3 option. We checked on Yelp for reviews before we visited and someone complained about cigarette butts in a cement "planter" that didn't have any plants in it. It made me laugh because in my opinion that's irrelevant but when we showed up, the owner must have read it and put a plant in! So funny. Neighbors is really going above and beyond trying to give the people what they really want."
"Tried them for the first time today. I had the snow crab legs and it was delicious!Fast service ! Would definitely recommend it."
"First time going to the Lakeland location which it didn't dispoint me. The collard greens where on point the wings where nice and fresh and crispy also the banana pudding is a must."
"If you want authentic good home backyard style of Barbecue and Soul Food on Sunday's , I would highly suggests trying Boomerang's. I ordered the chicken dinner for $10 and it was served chopped up , similar like it was from Negril Caribbean Jamaican food . This place is good !"
"Friendly folks with very good carry out ribs made our Saturday return trip a success from Bok Tower. The sides of collards, limas and hush puppies were delicious. The wait was short and the packed the go order up nice."
"I haven't had Haitian food in a year! So when I was in town I had to get some! Antille's definitely delivered! I ordered the rice and beans with fried pork, goat and legumes ( 3 separate orders)! I had to have it all! It was so good I forgot to take a picture. Oh well you just going to have to trust me on this....give them a try!"
"The food was pretty good but like a lot of people say, the rice and beans are a bit dry. It would be nice if you could add the option to have the juice from the oxtail poured on it. (highly recommend, made them that much better)My daughter and I got oxtail, rice and beans and mac n cheese and corn bread. My daughter is picky and loved it all. I enjoyed mine as well, the oxtail were tender and seasoned perfectly. My husband got the jerk bbq wings and they were good but not his favorite. He wasn't a fan of the sweet potato mash but he LOVED the corn bread. I think we will be back."
"I'll start with the positives. The food, overall, was exactly what I thought it would be-true flavors of Jamaica! Or at least, how I imagine Jamaican food would taste. Everything was hot and fresh and had spices that aren't typically used in American cooking. My favorite item was the curry chicken. It fell off the bone, was spicy but not too spicy. The rice and peas on the side paired perfectly with it! The best positive is that you get a ton of food for a "small" plate and price. I've uploaded pictures of my food and bill-check it out! Also, a gentleman called me from the restaurant to let me know they were out of the collard greens that I ordered and offered to give me another side, instead. I chose the slaw. It was nice of them to give me a heads up! We also ordered 5 wings, teriyaki, and those were huge and delicious! Here are the negatives. First, I placed my order at 5:02 using the Grubhub website and as you might see from my screenshot, by 7:09 the food wasn't delivered. Grubhub said it would be delivered between 6:40 and 6:50, so I already knew it was going to be at least an hour and a half, so they weren't terribly late. When the delivery driver arrived, he was extremely kind and apologetic for being late. He explained that the restaurant got my order wrong and that he had them re-make everything.Next, the order I received still wasn't correct. Although they were kind enough to call me about the collards and exchange them for the slaw, I still didn't receive the dumplings and instead, I got yams. Last thing might be more of a preference. The yams were a bit too sweet for my liking, but that might be the traditional way Jamaicans cook them, I don't know. The cole slaw was hot and I prefer it cold and on the side, not on top of the hot food. The french fries were drowning in grease so I tried a few but ultimately didn't eat them. The jerk chicken was a bit dry but the flavor was spot-on! I had high hopes for the beef patties but they, too, were dry.Overall, my favorite was the curry chicken and the rice and peas. I'll probably order the jerk chicken again but ask for extra sauce. Next time, I'll skip Grubhub and just go to the restaurant, myself. It would be quicker and my order would probably be correct."
"Stopped by today based on another Yelper's review which included their appreciation for the mac-n-cheese and they did not disappoint. I only ordered a side but let me say it is on the indulgent side. Cheesy and cooked with plenty of butter, lol. Now the side ran about $2.95 but it was plentiful. My mom ordered a 2 piece mix or blitz and when we got home that is all that was in the box. Not sure if it should have included a biscuit or not, but it wasn't. For $4.79 or so, I would think it would have included a biscuit.Based on the side of mac-n-cheese, I'd return."
"This is a hidden gem! Don't be fooled by the restaurant being located within the gas station. It's Worth It!. Name of the gas station is Sam Service Station and King of Soul is inside. I came on a Sunday afternoon noon around 3pm and the food was nice and hot I purchased the ham, Mac n cheese, green beans, candy yams, yellow rice, and the peach cobbler! The ham is a must have! One of the best hams I've tasted in a while! The candy yams and Mac N Cheese were delicious! The peach cobbler!! Mannn was way too good! All this food put me in a sleep coma! Definitely check this place out if you're looking for some GOOD Soul Food!"
