Of all the dining at AKL Jiko has that certain *something*, that je nais se quoi.Though some people might say to not come here with young kids, our 2 year old and older elementary aged child did great here and also enjoyed. They even had crayons for the kids! And let's not forget, Disney is for kids of all ages. Service here was excellent as to be expected. The waitress gave great recommendations and there are unique findings for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The restaurant was clean, bright and with an African flare. The food was tasty, fresh and memorable. I would absolutely suggest dining at Jiko, whether or not you're staying at animal kingdom lodge. An upscale restaurant with great service, great food and unique offerings - now why would you want to pass all that up? Bon appetite!"

The lobster bisque came out Luke warm and had to be reheated. The 2 ginger ales came out 20 minutes after initial order. Service could have been more organized but it was extremely busy. The ambiance is good with live music being performed. Now for the entrees the shrimp with grits dish was very good as was the shrimp pasta dish. The manager visited my table and we discussed the 2 appetizers above. We came to resolution without drama. I will try this place for a third time when I come back to the area in a year."

"We came to Bar Harbor Monday the day before Christmas Eve! Our daughter really wanted Oysters and this year and we had no clue where to even purchase raw oysters.When you come to this spot at least during the holidays you're going to be met with a line out the door to the market. They will service everyone all the way to the minute of close.We bought the canned jumbo lump crab and a dozen oysters. Both were the stars of our Christmas meal! We can't wait to try out some of their cooked items because it truly feels like a true in the wall ordering through a window and eating at a wooden picnic table outside the facility! All in all we're super fortunate to have this spot in Orlando and I'm really looking forward to patronizing this spot more often!"

As there were soft-opening their lunch menu, we had Fleming's veritable best-of-the-best servers assisting us. Kudos to Dixon, Laura and Andrea for making our afternoon lunch an enjoyable one. And enjoy we did...starting with complimentary freshly-baked bread with a trio of butters...Cabernet Red Onion, Champagne Brie and Regular Unsalted. As an appetizer we chose the Fresh Burrata with Heirloom Tomatoes. DELICIOUS!For my entree, I chose the Cabernet Filet with Danish Blue-Cheese Butter and a side of Cracked Potatoes with Rosemary Herb Butter served with Tarragon Aioli. AMAZING FLAVOR COMBINATIONS! Securing a 7 PM reservation was effortless, and upon arrival, we were impressed by the stunning façade and convenient valet parking. Our inaugural visit exceeded expectations, with impeccable service, atmosphere, and cuisine. The $60 per person meal, including appetizer and dessert courses, was a superb value. We opted for family-style dining, selecting four appetizers, entrees, and desserts, which enhanced our experience. Complimentary bread and expertly prepared starters dishes, including tuna tartare, Wagyu meatballs, Heirloom tomato and Burrata Salad and Blue cheese lettuce wedge. À la cart we decided to go with three different options for sides. The first included lobster macaroni and cheese, Grilled asparagus and truffle french fries which left us impressed. Our entrees consisted of beautifully plated dishes of filet mignon, double bone Kurobuta pork chop, crabcakes and roasted half chicken. Although we were satiated, we managed to enjoy desserts to-go, including strawberry hibiscus cheesecake and warm butter cake. The 2 hour dining experience was outstanding, culminating with a complimentary cupcake for the birthday celebrants. We highly recommend Del Frisco's to anyone visiting Orlando."

"Coral Reef is a hidden gem! We did the Candlelight package and the value that this included was phenomenal. If you can snag a reservation for this, I can't recommend it enough! Lauren was our server and she was incredible. I started with the Sparkling Hibiscus and a coffee. The coffee was great- a standard disney coffee, but great! The Sparkling Hibiscus was refreshing and light, the perfect balance for a nice day! Anthony had a margarita and it was also well made. The cocktails here are well crafted and balanced. Our meals were also delicious. We both had the Surf and Turf. The filets were nicely prepared with mashed potatoes, peppers, and shrimp. We also had the key lime tart and chocolate mousse for dessert which were great as well! Altogether, our meal was delicious and the atmosphere was so fun with the aquarium around us!"

"This restaurant provides class and beauty from start to finish. The table was ready at the time of our reservation although we were early so we went out to the boardwalk to wait and watched some jugglers performing. When they texted us and we returned, they remembered us and ushered us through the exquisite dining room to a lovely two top. The ceiling is adorned with glass balls and flying fish in a wave pattern and the colors of the walls are deep blue, giving a sense of being surrounded by water. The serving ware has handled slightly sculpted to give a sense of fish tails, with carved scales in them. Our server came immediately and provided the menus and cocktail lists. My husband ordered an old fashioned and I ordered a vanilla Manhattan. His old fashioned was perfect but I found the Manhattan too creamy and too strong. I think this was a "me-issue" rather than a problem with the drink. But I wish I'd ordered a glass of wine. We then had appetizers. He got a salad which he enjoyed and I ordered the hamachi, served raw. I love raw fish and it was excellent quality - extremely thinly sliced and so tender. However, I had not expected the black pepper flavor of the sauce it was on to be so pronounced. There was a strawberry verjus which I'd looked forward to but I felt the pepper overwhelmed the fruitiness and the fish. I also hadn't realized that verjus isn't just a fancy word (haha) but that it is a specific thing made from unripened grapes so it's more acidic. I'd expected something sweet and instead found it quite tangy and spiced. We both ordered the potato crusted red snapper with leeks. I'd never tasted anything quite like it before. Definitely a strong flavor of leeks but also of almost a cheesiness from the caramelization of the potatoes. The potatoes were crispy and delicious but unlike any potato dish I've had. And the fish was the moistest fish I've had, with a lovely flakiness that provided an excellent contrast to the crispy potato. Unfortunately, I found the dish very rich, which my belly didn't like so I couldn't eat all of it. My husband loved it and finished mine! We were too full for dessert but since we had anniversary pins, they gave us a free little chocolate dessert which was artistically displayed and just the perfect amount of sweetness"

"This is a very delayed review as I thought I already wrote one! We dined at Back Room Steakhouse over the summer after learning about it from Orlando Weekly. We don't go to Apopka much at all but it sounded good so we figured we'd take the drive out there. Back Room is very unassuming, it's located in a modest shopping plaza, easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. My boyfriend and I each ordered an Old Fashioned (they have many varieties of Old Fashioneds if thats your thing) and elected to do the Bite30 menu. Like I said, this review is overdue but Bite30 includes an appetizer, entree and dessert. We each ordered our meals and bread was also delivered to our table. The portions of all items were great and the taste was excellent too. We both got steaks (because you kind of have to at a steakhouse, right?) which were cooked correctly and I got the short rib egg rolls for appetizer. My BF got the coconut shrimp for his app, we were both impressed! I'm so happy that we learned about Back Room, its a bit of a drive but now we know it's worth it!"

I may be wrong, but I believe his name was Carlos. I ordered an old fashioned that was perfectly made. We got a delicious ribeye and the Flemings Potatoes. The entrees came out quickly. I wasn't to find of the potatoes. They seemed to have been sitting a while and separated a bit. They were supposed to be like creamy au gratin potatoes but were kind of greasy. They whisked that away with no issues and brought us out Mac and cheese replacement which was oooey, gooey, divine. We also got Brussel sprouts that were so amazing. The waiter checked on up to make sure we were doing well and even the manager came around to check with us and apologized about the potatoes. Such good service. At the end of our meal, the waiter even brought a box of delicious truffles. I don't get out and unwind as often as I need to. To be well taken care of, eat good food, and drink wine.. be in good company. It all helped to melt the stresses of the work week away and was the recipe I needed. You kinda get nose blind to it by the time food arrives.The service was excellent and very friendly.The catfish is lightly breaded, not greasy, flavor was good; but could use some more seasoning. It's hard to get flavorful fish when frying. The French fries were the best part. Both regular and sweet potato fries were excellent.I was disappointed that they no longer have clam strips or clam chowder on the regular menu.The oysters I saw looked good and they brand their own hot sauce that you can buy if you like it.Overall, I'd say we had a good lunch; but not good enough to return."
