"This was our second visit to the Greek Eatery. Our first time was right after they opened, and I have to say, the food was excellent. You could tell they were still ironing out some processes, but the flavors were spot-on. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating, patiently answering all our questions about the menu. Seeing their menu for the first time can be a bit overwhelming--I love Greek food, but I wouldn't call myself an expert at ordering it.Fast forward to tonight, and I can honestly say the food was just as good, if not better. I had a lamb gyro with Greek fries, and my wife had the chicken rice bowl--both were fantastic. The owners and staff are still as friendly and kind as ever.If you're in Winter Springs, please make a point to eat here. We've already lost Thai Basil; we can't afford to lose another great restaurant in WS. No offense, but there's only so much Huey Magoo's one can take. We need more quality establishments like the Greek Eatery!"

We split a bottle of wine for $20 (great deal) and started with the lavas ($4.95) with mix of babaganush, hummus, and sautéed eggplant dips.For our main course, I had the turkey sausage pide ($24.95), it reminded me of flatbread pizza! It was savory and delicious. My friend had the mousakka ($26.95) which was similar to lasagna.Overall, it was more expensive than what I was expecting upon walking in but the food was delicious! It is clear that Zorba Kitchen's passion is in the food - especially on Mondays and Tuesdays, when they serve pastitsio.This special also known as Greek lasagna is only available Monday and Tuesday. I called ahead a little after 5 pm and reserved the last special available that day. This is a very popular entree.My meal consisted of the pastitsio which is sheets of pasta, layered with meat sauce, and a creamy béchamel, then baked. It was served with a salad (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and olives) and a dollop of hummus alongside grilled pita bread. I took home part of the large portion so I had lunch the next day.This restaurant is located in a strip mall at the corner of Lake Underhill and Goldenrod. The seating area is just a handful of tables but is bright and very clean. I chose to eat in and the owner was very attentive and checked a few times if I needed anything. I really enjoyed my meal and look forward to going back for another classic Greek entree, moussaka, which is an eggplant dish, served only on Fridays and Saturdays."

"I really wanted to like Acropolis Greek Tavern, and there were definitely some highlights, but overall, I left feeling pretty disappointed. The place is cute, and the belly dancer was fantastic--she was really sweet and added some charm to the evening. But honestly, the vibe just didn't match the lively atmosphere their website promises. No plate breaking or napkin throwing, just a belly dancer every 30-45 minutes with music you can hardly hear, which was nice but not what I expected.The drinks were good, but the food was hit or miss. The lamb lollipops were overcooked and had an overwhelming charred taste that took away from tasting the meat. The Greek potatoes were just okay, nothing special. However, my friend's fish with rice was amazing--the rice had great flavor and if I return, would order something with that.The real bummer of the evening was getting my payment slip back after my card was charged and seeing that my bill came to $58.04, but my card was charged $60.21. I'd love to know why that was or how that happened, but unfortunately didn't have time to address that while we were there. Service was extremely slow and lacking.Acropolis is fairly new (maybe has been open for a month or two), so I'm hoping it's growing pains. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype or the fun atmosphere their website describes. I would possibly give it a second shot, but I'm on the fence."

My husband and I frequent Cincinnati and he said it tasted just like Skyline, only fresher and authentic. The portion of cheese was just the way it needed to be, piled high to the sky!Please remember that when you order Cincinnati chili, it's not your regular run-of-the-mill chili.. the flavour is unique. The chicken had a gummy texture to it and it was so unappealing that I couldn't finish it. The order cost me a little over $20 and for that, I was expecting an amazing salad, but that's not what I got. I think if I had left the chicken off, I actually would have enjoyed the salad - lesson learned."

If you really want great hummus, falafel, and pitas, it's only a few minutes to go to Cedar's on Sand Lake Road, and there's no comparison.There isn't really much atmosphere, just some rows of long tables in a brightly lit storefront. Service was a good team effort."

"Cava offers fast casual with a plethora of options for dietary needs and picky eaters alike. I am vegan, and enjoy the vegetables and the falafel. Both are absolutely delicious. The beans, rice offerings, rice alternatives, and salads (so all of the bases) are vegan. They have plenty of toppings to pick from as well. My favorites have to be the Persian cucumbers and the cabbage slaw. All the Sauces are labeled clearly so that you know the spice level and whether or not they are vegan. If you're unsure if an item is vegan, you can just ask the staff or you can look it up and they have the information labelled clearly on their website. I have never had an issue with cross contamination but they will re-do it if you need them to. The only thing I would recommend being careful about is the lentils as they can be hard as rocks if you get any from the bottom of the pot. I usually get a sample if im not sure. I come here often and look forward to the next time I'll be eating at CAVA!"

"I love good Mediterranean food, and this little place hit the spot. It has a basic, limited menu, and I'd say it's really better for takeout than dining in. But it does have 5 or 6 tables and a clean, casual environment if you decide to eat in.First, we tried a small Hummus, which came with home made Pita bread for $2.99. Flavor was fantastic, and between the two of us, we didn't even finish it all. It came with one pita, cut into quarters. Next time we will order with an extra pita, so we can enjoy all the hummus and not waste a drop. What made this one a little different from others I've had is that this one was nice and creamy, and did not have that tart taste they sometimes do. It was a smooth, creamy flavor that we both enjoyed.Next I had the Chicken Gyro ($6.99). I got through about half of it as the portion size was very good. There were three things specifically that I loved about this gyro. 1. the flavor of the chicken. It was tender, garlicky, with a nice blend of spices. It was outstanding. 2. The pita bread. This was not the cheap, store bought pita that most Mediterranean places use. This was the home made, flavorful, chewy pita that is so hard to find. An ingredient this simple makes all the difference, it really does. Bravo on using REAL pita! 3. The veggies in this Gyro were so crisp and fresh. The sauce was great too. Really the entire combination was a hit for me.My partner had a traditional beef/lamb Gyro. He considers himself a gyro expert, apparently in England (where he is from), gyros are a standard after-you-leave-the-pub food and he has had many. He thought this one was spot on. He got the combo plate for $9.49 which also included fries and a drink (before 2pm). I tried his fries and they were actually really good. I'm sure they were frozen fries, but they were cooked perfectly and had a nice, subtle seasoning. I was relieved that he loved the meal because I can see us stopping by to pick up takeout dinner on the way back to the Space Coast after a day in Orlando.We also had a yelp offer for a free Baklava with a $15 purchase. I really enjoyed it. It was sweet, honey-filled, and nutty without being over the top sweet, so it was great.Again, a simple menu, but fantastic, fresh food. Sometimes you can tell when a place still loves what they do, and you could taste it in this place. They have good attention to detail and they make the effort to create flavorful food."

"I recently had a team Holiday dinner here on a Friday evening. We were a small party of 6. The venue was quite full for dinner time so I imagine that reservations are a must.The service received was good. First the server came around with menus and water. Next, he came around to take beverage orders. Finally, he came around for the food orders. I decided to go with the lamb board and asked to sub the fries and pita for a small Greek salad. The Greek salad was flavorful. The lamb board normally comes with braised lamb, tzatziki, lettuce, tomatoes, pita and fries. Again, I subbed out the pita and fries. The tomatoes were not good - they looked soggy and didn't taste fresh. The lettuce was simply unappealing. The lamb and tzatziki were quite tasty, and I enjoyed it paired with the Greek salad.Throughout the dinner time the venue was filled with music and dancing - which I did not expect. I didn't read any reviews or look it up before coming. Occasionally, the belly dancers would come around and "offer" lessons to the customers. Sometimes there was dancing on the table - by both the staff and the customers. There was even line dancing around the restaurant. Lots of fun entertainment going on during dinner. So, it was a lively crowd, full of music, dance and people having a great time.This was a great choice for our team gathering."

It was nice to check out their new space, much bigger than Shiraz's previous location. So many different things to explore. Grabbed some Paratha $2, falafel with sesame, $4 and huge pita $2.5. There were so many dips to choose from when we checked out, we grabbed Haydari. They even let us do two different flavors 2 pistachio and 2 walnut. I love this place I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it!"

Many times the use of bulgar and olive oil makes this dish heavy. At Beirut they use lots of fresh herbs, tomatoes, lemon and a touch of bulgar. I get the large because it is just perfect.I have also had the baba ghanoush, hummus and mouhamara (red pepper) dips and they are all excellent. I wish they sold a sampler.I have also tried the chicken sandwich, lamb sandwich, kibbeh and baklava. They have an extensive menu of authentic dishes and I haven't had a miss."
