Lydia C. "Finally tried Juju. I wish I had tried it sooner! I love Susuru and this place is a much shorter drive for me. I was pleasantly surprised that it was happy hour when I arrived (5:30-6:30). There was also plenty of seats available. The bar chairs are very comfortable. I had the happy hour sake shot and the happy hour old fashioned and both were excellent. I am a big fan of chicken karaage so I had to get an order and it was cooked perfectly, crunchy and juicy. I also got the raw tuna and salmon rice bowl that was included in their happy hour menu. It was delicious. Service was excellent and I look forward to going back."

We really loved it the first time and the fried rice was really good, but this time the meat and vegetables were SO soaked in oil that it was the dominant flavor/taste of the meal. We'll order from them again but hopefully they'll see this and cook the food with less grease in the future."

My coworker who won't eat fish orders the Veggie roll which was awesome. The crispy rice blue fin was the best I've had even beating out California's finest. The manager was great and made quite a few recommendations. Great atmosphere and will definitely be back. Our server Gabe was the bartender he did a good job although seemed a bit slammed. Crab fried rice was good too. Have to try the short rib next time for sure heard it's amazing."

All of our food was incredibly fresh. The main reason I am here to give a review is to say.. Your staff was amazing last night. We were seated next to two men whom are physicians ( Their scrubs were embroidered with their names on them) whom were incredibly disrespectful. Their level of disrespect was so unwarranted. When I heard one of them make the comment " Sorry dude, I know this is your spot, but I am relentless" ... I know I would be writing a positive review for your staff. Keep up the good work. We were served a large portion of rice and vegetables, and the filet mignon was like butter, it just melted in our mouths. The price was competitive with other Japanese restaurants. The chefs are passionate about each dish they create and let you know it. The first couple of dishes are all works of art. Half the time I don't even know what I'm eating but I know the flavors are all incredible and blend so well together. The sushi is obviously the star of this place, and it's all incredible. Each cut of fish just melts like butter in your mouth. The portions are also perfect. We left full, but not stuffed. This is honestly the perfect date night too. Heidi B. "Recently celebrated my husband's birthday here and it did not disappoint. The other commonly known hibachi steakhouse that we were planning on visiting is known for taking forever to seat guests while charging more for food and providing less. Thankfully, none of these issues were encountered at Kobe! Not only did we have more than enough food including soup, salad, rice, noodles, chicken, steak, and potatoes, BUT the service was great and the show with the meal is always fun. Since we let them know we were celebrating a birthday, the entire serving staff even came out at the end of dinner and sang Happy Birthday in both Japanese and English! PRO TIP: Make sure that you download the app and apply for the birthday discount at least one week prior to your dining experience. We unfortunately waited too late for that and were only told after filling everything out that there would be a delay as far as the freebie being loaded onto the account. Not sure why this process is so complicated?"

Since it is the slow season it was easy to get a table without a lunch reservation. We walked up tge steep steps and in we went. We were promptly greeted Japanese style and directed to our table. The view of the lake from our table was very nice. If you like Japanese style you will love the look of tgis restaurant. It is beautiful and a comfortabke space to enjoy conversation and a meal. Our server was very pretty, nice, and helpful with the menu. Im a sucker for Japanese girls, I blame Karate Kid II. She took out drink and food order and off she went. She promptly returned with my cold unfiltered sake which was refreshing and delicious. Our meals canne within a very reasonable amount of time. The miso was very tasty and drinking it in the Japanese fashion was cool. The selection of sushimi was vey appealing and the tasty absolutely delicious. They were bursting with flavor and I recommend you save any excess Kimchi Butter to drizzle over your sushi, which is what we did. The Green Bastard and Tavares Sushi Roll were similar with the addition of Fresh Snapper atop my roll. The prices were $16 and $17 for the sushi but they were double the size of most sushi plates. We recommend the Blackberry Lemonade cocktail with wine based vodka, delicious while still being strong. I went with the Nori Udon ($14) and added sliced beef ($7). The presentation was great, with the ingredients served separately so you can mix them to your liking. The noodles were absolutely delicious- some of the best I've had! The broth was rich and flavorful, and the sliced beef was a generous portion that paired perfectly with the dish. Chris A. "This was my final one of the four Michelin Starred restaurants in Orlando. I came here one chilly night in December, waiting for a mystery tasting menu that promised plenty of delicious, fresh fish. Their menu isn't online, and I like that. No one can get mad if a dish is missing due to unexpectedly low-quality ingredients, no one can get mad if a dish is added on because of unexpectedly high-quality ingredients. It's a surprise, a true omakase. You walk in, and the waiting area/bar is plastered with a wild, colorful, Asian-inspired mural that will keep your head spinning around looking at it for the entire time you're waiting to be seated. Then, the curtain is pulled back, and our super small seating of six people got seated, and the show began. There was the standard omakase offering of the sake pairing, but what I thought was neat was the non-alcoholic tea pairing that they offered. I jumped on that, and I'm glad I did. We started sipping on our drinks, and then the show began. I absolutely do not remember every detail of my meal, and I wouldn't share them with you even if I did. But I will give you some highlights. The show started off with a surprising soup, hope you're feeling adventurous. Then, a super large, super fresh oyster and some offal. These simple dishes really focus on highlighting one super quality ingredients, and pairing it with a minimal amount of ingredients just to really make the best parts of these ingredients pop on your palette. I loved it. The fresh fish dishes at the beginning of the meal were exquisite. Marinating in various delicious liquids, or just lightly smoked, as to not cook the meat, and the cuts they gave us were so thick, so the taste and texture of the fish were on full display and very apparent. I was pleased. Kind of the same thing with the sashimi course. Some fresh tuna, some blow-torched snapper, thick cuts, great texture. I was a fan. The only complaint I do have, and this is minor, is that some omakases I've been to, they go out of their way to tell us about each species of fish and where they were caught from and what notes to look out for when eating the fish. Small, but I do like that touch. Then comes the nigiri coursesss. A lot of prep work as the guy sliced it all up right in front of us, displaying his professional knife skills, I was very jealous. And then boom, one piece after another of huge pieces of fish with a small accoutrement to help the taste. Very good stuff. Very unique fish that you don't run into very often in Orlando. Then, winding down the meal, came a warm duck soup with some udon noodles. Very good. Deep flavors in that broth. And finally, desserts! A light, fruity bar with edible flowers and some granola-stuff for texture. Good. And finally finally, a matcha-themed tiramisu for the birthday we were celebrating. So delicious. So the meal was done and over with. I was very full and very pleased. I had only seen this move done at three star places, but we got a goodie bag to go home! A creamy, chilled green tea. And a poke bowl. Both meant for breakfast the next morning. This kind of added flair will get them that second star if they keep this up. Overall, this was an incredible experience. There were a million pros, and only that one con I mentioned earlier. If you can swing it, and if you like fresh seafood, you must come here."

Chris A. "We came here one evening with some friends for Magical Dining Month. Different hibachi places have different offerings for MDM, but Shogun won out this year for best offering. They had a whole app, the whole meal, and even a dessert for that one set Magical price. It was a no brainer. It's in a three star tourist hotel in the tourist area of town. It's very clean and sleek and has some nice Japanese décor all around. It's a good vibe. Comfortable. Service was awesome, too. Since they cater to greedy, grumpy tourists, I think they recruit the best hibachi chefs. The guy put on a good show. And the server was good, too. Drinks were certainly flowing. As for the food, like I said, there was a lot. Since the promotion is over, I won't go into too many details here, but just so you get the idea of everything we got, AppsSpicy Tuna Roll + Kaiso Salad (Spicy tuna rolled in sushi rice with sesame seeds and nori seaweed, garnished with spicy mayo, served with kaiso (seaweed) salad). Solid roll. It would have been fine just the roll, but they add in delicious seaweed salad! Nice.Gyoza + Harumaki (Fried chicken and vegetable potstickers and vegetable spring rolls served with tangy, sweet soy sauce). Six little things on one plate! Fried crispy and served with that great tangy sauce. MainsShogun Special Teppanyaki Entrée (New York strip steak, shrimp, and teriyaki chicken with fried rice and vegetables cooked at your table teppanyaki style, served with soup and salad). Good stuff. Steak wasn't overcooked. Always love the soup. The Kabuki Teppanyaki Entrée (Chicken, shrimp, and scallops with fried rice and vegetables cooked at your table teppanyaki style, served with soup and salad). Also good. Scallops were so not overcooked, they were borderline undercooked, which is rare, but they were good. Big fan. DessertChocolate Decadence Cake (Shogun's famous chocolate cake with drizzles of chocolate sauce and whipped cream). This was good. Really sweet and a healthy portion size. Just what I would expect. Ice Cream (Two scoops of ice cream of your choice: matcha (green tea) or azuki (red bean)). Lovely, nice flavor. I suspect a lot of people come here that don't run into these flavors too often, so this is a good chance for them to experience them. Yummy. Overall, I'm so glad we came here. It was a good time with good friends over a good meal. I'll be back the next time they're the best hibachi menu for MDM."

It was the end of the night, and the woman at the counter wasn't that pleasant, she had a dismissive attitude as of to say "hurry up and buy!" Normally I would have taken my business elsewhere but it was late, my options were limited and I was hungry! Lol. I ordered the hibachi chicken & rice and a sushi roll which came with eight small pieces of sushi which they fell apart when I tried to pick them up. The chopsticks were super cheap and I had to arm wrestle one of the workers to get another soy sauce (just kidding, but my request was met with resistance).Although the food was flavorful the attitude was not part of my order.
