Emily G. "My family and I are Italian, so naturally we have to try all the Italian restaurants in town! I heard this place has a cheese wheel, so my curiosity began to grown. We came here on a Thursday evening with a reservation and were greeted by an angry young woman who told us there would be a wait. We waited patiently for 5-10 minutes as she stared into the abyss that was her podium. Whether she was on a phone or tablet, no one will know. Eventually we made our way inside to our cramped table. Much precaution had to be taken to not hit the seats behind you or have a waiter run into you as they went by. Removal of a few tables would greatly benefit the flow of traffic inside. An older gentleman was our waiter who told us all about the specials and drink options. We decided on calamari which came out hot and crispy. For dinner, we ordered the lasagna, piccata and marsala. The food came out hot and had good flavor. However, I don't think the price fairly reflects the portion served given the numerous top-notch Italian restaurants in the area. Maybe it was just the evening we came but I wouldn't recommend this restaurant off of first impressions. The Garlic, Baci and Tianos will remain my go-tos for now."

While we didn't stay at Shades of Green, we are still eligible to dine and use the spa here because of my husband's disability eligibility. The prices for an Italian steak house can't be beat. We were a party of 6, including our preteens and 1 year old. The ambiance was nice for a date night, but also low key for a family after a day at the parks. Many were super casual. Our server was attentive and gave good recommendations."

But it will be worth it. Ride your bike! The restaurant has a very upscale vibe, while simultaneously feeling very "Florida casual". You'll be at home in a suit jacket or flip flops. The service is always super friendly and they have an inside/outside bar for while you wait. The food is incredible. Pizza is amazing and pastas are all very good. I haven't had anything didn't like. Great for celebrations or just happy hour. Do yourself a favor and head to F&D!"

Charles M. "A Prato review. Let me start with the "Best" List:*Best Date Restaurant*Best Italian Restaurant*Best Restaurant OverallSource: Orlando Weekly 2024I've enjoyed Prato a number of times over the years. In increasingly measure, it's become my choice for a special date night or occasion. As another Yelp Elite reviewer wrote, "If I could give a 10 out of 5 (rating), I would." I agree. After years of frequenting, I've found that reservations are the best way to ensure a day and time when I can enjoy the splendid service and fabulous food with friends and family. The restaurant is regularly packed even though ample seating is located both inside and outside. The bar "island" is the place to go between lunch and dinner. Drinks and a truncated food menu are available while table service is not. One of my food favorites is the pizza, baked in an oven visible from almost anywhere in the place and worth the wait. Diavolo and Funghi (vegetarian) regularly arrive at our table (or the bar in the tween time) and are always enjoyed. Should one not meet the restaurant's standards, we have found they will remake it and the server or manager will apologize for the delay. I've enjoyed fish ceviche, gnocchi, seasonal soups, paninis, and the Angus Beef Burger (yum), to name a few starters and main entrees. The adult beverages range from aperitif, to beers on tap and in bottles, to cocktails. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available. My wife and I have experienced top-notch service that balances between hovering and ignoring. We have always enjoyed our servers' recommendations and engagement. The playlists usually keep the mood lively. I remember a fantastic time on a Saturday afternoon with a fun 70's and 80's dance music when even the servers were singing. Recommendation: Make reservations if you want to ensure a full-service experience. The bar is good if you just want to pop in for a drink or quick bite, but be aware that you still might need to wait."

The decor is just a typical small pizzeria, eclectic but cute. The service is prompt and personable. Jennifer as excellent. The mozzarella sticks are deliciousy gooey. I ordered the sausage and peppers sandwich and my friend ordered spaghetti and meatballs lunch special. The portions are huge and everything was incredible. Finding good Italian is a struggle in Florida and I've given up on finding decent pizza. This place is incredible. The portions were huge! I didn't take hardly any photos because I was distracted by catching up with the family. The bread they start with is SO good.We got the mozzarella appetizer and I wish I had photos of the cheese pull from it. The mozzarella was so fresh and so good. The garlic cheese bread was *eh* and probably the only thing I wouldn't order again. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything memorable.I got the calzone and it was HUGE. I got a plain cheese and it was so good. I only ate about half of it. Family got the fettuccine Alfredo, the "personal pan pizza" (which was HUGE) and chicken Marsala. The Alfredo sauce had so much flavor and was a great consistency. Nobody had any complaints. Our server was outstanding as well. Answered any questions and was super attentive. She spoke highly of the restaurant, the quality, and the owners. It always has this crispy crunch on the bottom that pairs so well with the cheesiness on top. All of the ingredients taste fresh and it is SUPER consistent on flavor and quality, which I really appreciate. Service: Great service! Family owned and you can feel the love here. Very nice people, always courteous, always make sure you're happy. Ambiance: I think I prefer take away at this location, however, you can definitely eat there and enjoy. Joe S. "Do you like Pizza? Of course you do! For some reason, I've never tried this place in my 9 years of living in East Orlando, and I have been missing out.I love pizza by the slice more than ordering a whole pie. It just tastes better when it's cooked, sliced, displayed and reheated to order. The crust is crispier, the sauce doesn't scorch your mouth, and you can try more than one kind of pizza.I tried the pepperoni which was good, but nothing to write home about as it had some coverage, but not great. The "white" pizza didn't have sauce and was delicious with dollops of ricotta scattered about. My large slice had 3 larger sections of the ricotta. The flavors were there, but the coverage wasn't all that great for me.The dough is legit with crispy outside and chewy inside, so that's a great start to the pizza. The other ingredients are of high quality, but something was slightly missing for me. I may try one of their specials as the slice method can get pricey. Even though it's good, I probably won't be a regular."

Wendy B. "Trying someplace new can be stressful for us. My husband and I have our favorite restaurants. When we try something new and have a subpar experience, we look at each-other like WHY??? why didn't we go where we already know it's good, especially when visiting high end restaurants. I AM EXTREMELY HAPPY TO REPORT...It was my birthday dinner evening, so I decided I wanted to try something new since my husband would know better than to complain to me on my birthday!Charley's Steakhouse is our favorite steakhouse in Orlando - Vito's is sort of the Italian version of Charley's but with a fancier vibe. I was so happy to see Vito's had the same bread, which I call fluffy little balls of goodness!! This bread is so soft and warm and appeals to every carb part of my soul! The bread at Vito's had a garlic top on it - and the butter also had Italian herbs in it ( I believe). Once you have the carbs, your brain naturally needs the sweetness of their fabulous Rose Drop Martini! Of course you also need a crunch...The salad was so fresh, crunchy, flavorful, and the dressing is refreshing. Cali was our server. She was the perfect balance of letting us know she is there without being on top of us. Cali guided us through the menu at an easy pace, just enough to visually check if any of us had questions. Cali let us know the specials of the night. She brought everything we asked for in an easy breezy way - quick without feeling rushed. Her area was very full - I'm not sure how she took such good care of us being so busy. Kudos to her!!! I decided to try the Portobello mushroom fondue for the appetizer. This combo sounded strange to me -but it's my night to be adventurous... WOW, is all I can say. It's lightly fried - no heavy fried feeling which I was worried about. As you dip the sliced mushroom into the warm dip, all the flavors melt into your mouth. I instantly felt thrilled to try something new! More warm bread is brought to the table because this girl loves to eat!!! Yummy! The struggle continues with ordering my dinner!!!!!!! I am obsessed with the Faroe Island Salmon At Charley's which Vito's has But Vito's has a Grouper Francese... keeping with my theme of the night to explore, I ordered the Grouper! This dish did not disappoint in the slightest! Fresh, light, just enough lemon to wake-up your mouth. We ordered the truffled Alfredo pasta. We watched it be prepared at many other tables. A server prepares the pasta in a huge cheese wheel in front of you. It is the freshest, creamiest carb Heaven you will ever need in your life! My husband ordered the Beef carpaccio which he said was out of this world. My brother in law ordered the salmon! Now!!! My brother in law understands why I always order the salmon at Charley's! He confirmed that dish is the best fish he has ever had, as if I would steer him wrong!! Well the diet is blown for all of 2025 already so why not eat more!!! The butter cake is the equivalent to whatever dessert your mom makes on special holidays! You know that feeling of the first bite and immediately everything is perfect in the world!! I'm not a big fan of chocolate cake but this layered love fest with mini chips on it - has changed me! But wait, there's more!!!! They have an Almond Creme Cake that might be the most delicious treat I have ever enjoyed! I'm a huge tiramisu fan, this Heaven on Earth dessert reminds me of that type of texture but with little crunchies on top. The cake is soft, creamy, flavorful, and then finishes with the crunch - I can't think of anything better!!!! What a perfect combination of food, atmosphere, service, and company! The portions are large for a fine dining restaurant. Even the wallpaper in the bathrooms are adorable! An absolutely perfect birthday dinner! We will be back very soon & try more new things!!"

The penne vodka with salmon was absolutely amazing, I'll be dreaming of it for awhile now, but I'm still so excited to go back and try different dishes! My dad had the veal parmigiana and absolutely loved it. We split coffee and the tiramisu for dessert, and despite being incredibly full from dinner, I shamelessly scraped every tiramisu crumb off of the plate. The decor is that of a typical Italian restaurant and they have both table and booth seating. Our food arrived quickly, yet tasted as though it had been slow cooking all day. We opted to start with fried mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and also received complimentary homemade warm bread served with a pesto sauce that I could've drank it was so good! Our side salads before the meal were fresh and my husband said that the homemade Cesar salad dressing was the best he'd ever tasted. Located between the orange and lime garage near the back you'll find this super sweet hideaway prohibition bar. I love to find a good old fashioned that strays from the path and they did very well with a new seasonal with hazelnut...however, I must suggest the smugglers courage to be tried. The presentation was fantastic and the drink was nothing short of delicious. Granted with this being a nice place, great service and food/drinks that you can appreciate, you can imagine this isn't a cheap spot.
