Jay O. "Definitely the best Chinese restaurant I've had in the Orlando area. I had the Kung Pao chicken, pork fried rice and an egg roll. Main course had lots of flavorful chicken and al denta vegetables. Just right. A generous portion of pork fried rice and a crispy egg roll made the meal a delight. Important note here, no inside dining. ALL orders must be phoned in for take out service. That's the only negative here. I chose to eat in the car because this location is an hour drive from my house."

Barbara F. "Omg, where do I even start?!The place is really pretty inside and large, so wait times don't take that long. We maybe waited 15minutes? Service was quick, friendly, and very attentive which was awesome. Most of the experience is on a self serve basis that consists of buffet stations and revolving belt for additional conveniency. I enjoyed how each station had a purpose and a large amount of varieties to choose from, ranging from a meat station (beef, chicken, lamb, etc), a seafood station (crab, clams, squid, fish, etc) a sauce station, and a fruit/dessert station. Coming from a small town 7hrs away, this was an absolute treat that will definitely fill you up with deliciousness and memories! Is the price a little expensive? Yes, but for what you get and the amount of time they allow, regardless if it's 2 people or 6 people, it will absolutely be worth it."

Cathryn G. "My husband and I have dined her several times and it's a real testament that it is the only Chinese restaurant in Orlando that we just keep coming back to. There is a lot of variety on the menu, so whatever you are looking for you can likely find. I've had spicy Szechuan style dishes (Chongqing chicken) and others that were incredibly flavorful with no "heat" at all (lemon chicken). Everything I've had here has been really good. Dan Dan noodles are a favorite. Last time I was here I had the beef soup with noodles and it blew my mind. I did a study abroad in China years ago and with the first bite of that soup I was transported back to XIan. It tasted just like the soup I had there. It was crazy. After I returned from China I couldn't eat American Chinese food for about a year. This soup was the first thing I've had in years that really tasted like the food I ate while there. It was so awesome. As for the rest, there is ample seating inside, but they do a great takeout business too. There is some parking behind the building as well. Highly recommend."

No Sim sum carts here so you order off the menu and the dim sum comes a bit haphazardly. The advantage of ordering off the menu and not the carts is that each small plate comes out piping hot. Good service, good food and it's great to finally have dim sum available in our neighborhood"

They have their own fusion Asian cuisine takes that make all of their menu item delicious and eaten more than once. They have multiple different Asian regions to try from so you can tell me yourself how it performs. The owner is great. She's has high standards and expects excellence every time. It comes with it down sides but as a customer, you can expect great food and great customer service. As you walk, you have two isle and all the seat is comfortable and inviting. They have a wine section for a bit of wine tasting or wine pairing. They also make some substitutions if you wish, which is always a plus for my people. Definitely come by and check them out if your in the area, you taste and your appetite will thank you."

They have beef choices at dinner and lots of seafood like large shrimp and crab. Sushi chefs are always present making fresh rolls and sashimi. On Fathers Day they included delicious snow crab legs at the buffet which we really appreciated. Would like to see new dessert options like almond cookies but like the chocolate cupcakes and apple pie. We've been to other Chinese buffets but prefer Koywan."

The ambiance is simple, it's a walk up and takeout restaurant mostly, however they do have 3 tables you could sit at and enjoy. The food is prepared fresh and served hot!! The combos are great value I ordered 3 meals it was around 40 doll hairs, and came with heaping portions - protein, rice, egg roll and a can of soda. The bag was heavy!! They offer wide selection of different dishes that I would normally not try. For example, stir fry frog, dry fried pork chitterlings, stir fried kidneys etc. Definitely not my cup of tea on any day...lolThey do however offer a great selection of regular Chinese dishes along with traditional Sichaun dishes. It's a very lively place. Love the decor. I started my meal with the spring rolls. I would skip these next time. There was nothing special about them. For dinner I chose the sizzling beef dish which was very basic. Flavor was good and it came out on a hot cast iron plate. Next visit I would definitely order something with a little more spice. I had a chance to taste the cucumber salad which was delicious. Since it was my friend's birthday, they brought out fried donuts with ice cream. The donuts were good. It was a good way to end a fun evening."

Pho is one of my favorite soups ever, but unfortunately, I don't get to eat it very often because there aren't many Vietnamese restaurants around where I live. I had to drive half an hour to International Drive, but it was definitely worth it. It's one of the best pho soups I've had in Orlando. I also tried their pot stickers and they were amazing! Perfectly crispy and golden brown. The menu prices are fair considering the quality and quantity of the food. Both dishes together were around $25 and I had enough leftovers for a second meal. The service was also amazing. I tried their milk tea and loved it so much the server taught me how to make it at home! However, my favorite thing about this restaurant has to be the decoration. William L. "I truly love this little gem of a take out spot. They still have their dining area closed off; no more table service! I got my usual hot N sour soup for QB and wonton for myself. Fried dumplings to split, and "wok siu opp." Oh, and PFR my way: lots of bean sprouts and cooked dark. This time it was the lady of the place who was at the counter...very pleasant and polite, just like the older man whom I've generally seen (father/daughter is my guess) here. A few others came and went while I waited; always a good sign. They have a couple of chairs outside, so I can catch the breeze beneath the overhang. Biggest complaint is the duck entree is noticeably smaller than last go round. It's still yummy; just smaller portion for basically the same price. Crisp, fresh veggies and good duck with lovely sauce. Queen Bee loved the soup and dumplings.PFR was a little more bland than I recall from last time. Not quite as dark and flavorful as I'd have liked, but a good amount of egg, sprouts and scallion as I prefer. Wonton soup serviceable with good broth, delicate and flavorful wontons as well as a nice amount of chopped scallion in the broth too. All in all, still okay, just not so sure I'd be in a hurry to return"

Rick M. "I have been here several times and the food has been consistently good. I have had their shrimp spring rolls, fried chick wings, and pork fried rice. Their chicken wings taste fresh, flavorful and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Although, each time I visit I get takeout, the place appears very clean on the inside, and I notice the tables and chairs are clean and sturdy (I have been to several small similar restaurants where it was dirty and wobbly tables and chairs). This place is conveniently located in the same plaza as Publix. There have been occasions where I ran into Publix to pick up a few items while I waited for my food. The staff are friendly and courteous and the food is ready in the time that they say, which is usually around 15 minutes depending on what you order. Their fried rice is the best I have had in this area, for my tastes, I prefer their style of rice, which had eggs and bean sprouts, rather than peas and carrots as some others do. I took a photo of the fried rice on a plate after I got home. Next time I hope to post more photos. Their prices are comparable to other Chinese restaurants of that size. I wish I had discovered this place sooner...I had to go through a few bad restaurants before discovering this one. It's definitely worth giving them a try. I see a few things on their menu that I haven't seen in other places, so I want to try a few those as well."

I ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special that came with the soup. It was a healthy portion and reasonably priced. I also had hot tea. I wasn't sure what kind of hot tea it was but I think it was jasmine. It was enough for two people to have some. The restaurant is located in a strip mall so there is a parking lot with plenty of parking available - at least for lunch! That shopping center has changed a lot over the 20+ years and it is nice to know that this place stood the test of time with good food and service. Even though the restaurant closes at 10pm, the waiters were incredibly kind and still let me order and take a seat. The service itself was commendable throughout my experience - the waiters were quick and kept checking in with my party to make sure we were enjoying the food. The restaurant interior is comfortable, and even though it was late, the restaurant was packed. The food was so good! As someone who eats Chinese food often, I was blown away by this spot's unique dishes. My absolute favorite dish was the deep fried egg tofu with salted egg yolk. The egg tofu was so silky, a contrast with the salted egg yolk batter on the outside. It was the perfect bite of savory flavors. I've never seen this dish at other Chinese restaurants, and I was a fan of how unique and delicious it was. The dry fried string beans were crispy and salty, stir fried with an umami minced pork. I could not stop eating them, and the string beans were delicious paired with rice. Lastly, the Szechuan style short rib had a mala spice that was decadent. It was just enough spice and was balanced with a generous topping of fresh cilantro.Every single dish was delicious, the waiters were on top of it, and I loved my visit! Kerry C. "We love the Peking House. It's one of Lakeland's little treasures, not quite hidden away south of downtown on South Florida Avenue. It is the only sit-down Chinese restaurant in Lakeland. When I found that out and saw pictures online, I became very excited because it reminded me of restaurants I had been to as a child. Inside, it still has that old world Chinese-American looking antique feel with the large red moondoor separating two dining rooms. It's hard to define the Peking House, it's not fancy, it's not casual, it kind of straddles both. They do a lot of take-out, especially now with the pandemic, but before they had table cloths and you could feel fancy while eating in your nice blouse and jeans. Their menu has both the standard favorites and house specialties, including duck. Their food is so good. We are egg drop soup and egg roll fanatics and they make some of the best. Always fresh. Any dish you order, is always very generous with the meat versus vegetable ratio. Also, when you order a spicy dish, they will ask you what heat you would like: medium, hot, or extra hot. Medium is very good, hot is HOT, AND we've never tried extra hot! Their fried rice is very savory and flavorful. One of our fave tips, a regular dinner entree can be enough for two people. There is a LOT of food packed in those to go containers. Add soup and a couple of egg rolls and you've got a very affordable meal. Another tip - the main door looks to be on the corner of S. Florida Ave. and W. Oak Dr. but it's not, it's actually the door on W. Oak Dr. that faces Southgate Shopping Plaza. Drive down W. Oak Dr. and park behind that little shopping center that holds Peking House. There is actually plenty of parking there. If not, park in Southgate Plaza."

I was always intrigued by the fact the restaurant continued to exist even though I never saw many cars in front of the establishment. The restaurant itself is on the first floor of a commercial office building. Upon entering, I noticed the seating area was small...composed of three booths and six tables. The restaurant is dimly lit but, impeccably clean and organized. I was greeted warmly by both a server and Jessica, the restaurant manager. Jessica informed me the business has been in existence for 23 years which is an eternity for a single location Orlando independent restaurant. As to their menu, I chose their Orange Chicken Daily Special which came with either White or Egg Fried Rice, a Vegetable Egg Roll. and a couple small stalks of Broccoli. The Orange Chicken was tender with a crunchy, light breading. The orange flavor of the sauce was subtle and not overpowering. The Egg Roll was also light and not oily. In fact, as I told Jessica the meal was delicious and flavorful without being heavy. The only negative being the portions were rather small but, in line for what they were charging for the meal.Overall, if you are in the area this is a good option to satisfy your Chinese food craving."
