Bula Bar & Grille

I'd give Bula Bar & Grille 3 stars.This is the Royal Pacific Hotel's Pool Bar. I recently stayed at the Royal Pacific hotel and we went swimming at night, and decided to grab a couple of drinks.They have a nice collection of beers and cocktails available, but we were very disappointed to learn that this bar closes at 10 PM even though the pool was open until 11 PM - it didn't really make too much sense to us but oh well. The drinks are good (but of course, expensive).

Great service poolside! There's seating in the restaurant area. It's all outdoors. Servers come to your lounge chairs. We were all happy with the food and drink selections. The ambiance is calming and beautiful with unique trees.

Food ok. Service slow. Good atmosphere. But what really gets me is that they charge $5.00 for a soda and no free refills which was not brought to my attention. So, I asked for a refill and got charged another $5.00 plus tax. So, $6.00 and change for a refill. $40.00 dollars for a subpar burger and a drink, total rip off.

We had dinner here on our last night at Royal Pacific. Bula Bar is the pool bar at the property and offers a nice menu and drinks. It's a great atmosphere, during the day, and was pretty darn romantic at night. Check out my pics! We had the Shipwrecked Loaded Nachos with beef and they were gorgeous. Large portion and delicious. Also had the turkey wrap as well as a brew and a Hurricane. Service was quick and friendly as well. An 18% gratuity was added to the bill, so be aware of that. It was a wonderful way to spend our last night in Orlando.

Surprisingly good! Maybe we were all nust super hungry after our flight feom Boston to Orlando but everyone finished their plates. I did not have high expectations for this poolside spot. I figured it would be salty and over sweet and not satisfying at all. I was pleasantly surprised. The Chicken Quesadilla appetizer was pretty good. My Pork Tacos were really good. My wife liked her Turkey Wrap, my son enjoyed his Black Bean Quesadilla, and my daughter said her pizza was awesome. I did not set the bar high going in but this place cleared it easily. We will probably eat here again before the vacation is over.UPDATE - 2nd day here and another lunch by the pool. This time we had Chicken Nachos, kids Hot Dog, and another kids Pizza. Everything tasted good again. Expensive but tasty and convenient.

Bula Bar is the pool side bar on the Royal Pacific resort. We went there for a quick appetizer and sat pool side. The ambiance was good and the service was fast. I was surprised by how overpriced things, are, I guess it is a touristy destination but it felt excessive. Also, i was a bit surprised by the 18% mandatory tip, I was ready to sign the usual tip and realized it was already included without being told, I guess it was written somewhere on the menu?In terms of the food, we had the nachos which were on a gigantic plate but the nachos were not great, we ended up leaving about half because it was not really worth the calories.

I ordered the nachos that were delicious. The size is shareable for 3-4 people, but perfect for one, if starving. The fish tacos were amazing!!! Fresh grilled fish and a sweet dressing for the top. These might be the best on the menu. The kids had a pizza that was perfectly cheesy for them. We loved sitting outside at the pool and having a fun dinner poolside.

We found ourselves here at the end of the night just wanting a little snack. I deducted a star because their taps were all out and husband wanted a beer... not sure how that happens but I guess they had some thirsty pool goers. I got Mac and cheese, husband got a quesadilla and my parents got the nachos. All the food was delicious. The platter of nachos was huge! (Sorry no pics, we dove right in.) I got a kids meal and it was a big portion, husband had to help me with some of the fries.

Bula is the poolside bar/restaurant at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort. When you order your first drink it comes in a plastic souvenir hurricane glass, which they'll refill for $10. For our 2 refill beverages, with included 18% service charge and tax, that came to more than $25 in total. Yes, a bit steep, but considering you're at a resort at a theme park, such is life. What I do have a real problem with, however, is paying $25 for 2 drinks, a pina colada and a strawberry daiquiri, neither of which had much taste or alcohol content. Both tasted mostly like crushed ice with a touch of flavoring and an undetectable amount of booze. I've patronized plenty of restaurants/bars that use the same "Island Oasis" machines that Bula uses to make their frozen drinks.. The beverages they turn out can be much better than what we were given by 2 different bartenders here.

Amazing. Super fresh. Great service!! I thought being a pool bar the food would be just meh but it was actually delicious. The nachos give Margaritaville a run for their money... yum!
