My husband and I were driving home from Miami, and needed a place for lunch. We saw that Brake Burger Garage had a 4.5 rating, and decided to check it out for ourselves. (My husband loves burgers!!) We were pleasantly surprised to see how cute and clean the restaurant was ... and reminiscent of an older brake garage. (Very authentic!) I ordered a regular Smashburger combo, my husband ordered a Smashburger deluxe combo and we tried the chicken fingers as well. The difference between the regular Smashburger and the deluxe is that he had lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles on his. but they both came with 'brake' sauce and grilled onions.The young man who took our order at the counter was very nice, friendly, and answered all the questions we had. We placed our order, sat at a table with a number, and as soon as our food was ready, which was very quickly, another server brought our food out to us. The burgers, the fries, and the chicken fingers were all hot, fresh and tasty. We asked for the chicken fingers to be dipped in buffalo sauce, which was really good, it might've been a little too saucy, but had great flavor and we had a side of ranch to dip in. I would definitely recommend this place. If you are in the area and the next time we are driving through we will definitely stop in for a smash burger!

Finally made it in town last night around 8pm.It looked so empty.I placed my order and saw outside is a huge party.This is a great place to visit in town.The restaurant looks like a car garage that got converted into a burger place.

Stopped by on our travels and found a good flavored burger in a cute garage location! Both our burgers were made to the temp we requested, were delivered to our table with a smile and had tasty waffle fries as a side!I'd recommend stopping at this cool burger joint on your travels!

This place is clean, the staff seem nice, and the food is pretty good. I like how they took a garage & made it into a burger joint! I got a steakhouse burger with Gouda cheese. I love the waffle fries. I ask for honey mustard it's that was delicious. My husband loved the pickles. He said it was slice thin but still had crunchy of a pickle. I am not crazy about pickles so he ate all mines Sypport your local business!

Polk County Burger Week adventure day! First stop... the Birria burger!Cute little shop that must have once been a gas station or automotive shop. Walk up counter with ample table/chairs for such a small space. Love the old collector!Legit one of the best burgers I have had in my entire life... and the staff was so friendly! When we told the cashier we were doing a burger tour she offered to split the burger in half for us which made life so much easier! Not gonna lie though, wish I got a whole one. As we were leaving one of the chefs from the back asked us how our food was and we told him how AMAZING the burger was and how we came for burger week and he talked more in depth about the urger and how he thinks he is gonna make it the burger if the month. He must have been the owner, but with how impeccable their customer service was I wouldn't be surprised if he was just the head chef!Totally worth the drive from Lakeland and we will be back!

Located on 60 in Lake Whales, this fast food burger and chicken tender joint is inside a converted automobile service garage. Don't let the outside fool you. It is well worth the stop. Made to order burgers, chicken tenders, fries, and more. Actually, they make the BEST chicken tenders I have ever tried. Crispy, hot, and juicy goodness. The cheese curds, onion rings, and fries are also made fresh and are amazing. The burgers are great, too. They have a coke product beverage station with both sweet and unsweetened tea (though no lemon). The ambiance is reto automobile with a green interior. The bathroom was very clean. The staff are friendly and they take pride in their food. I would highly recommend a stop in. Enjoy.

Cool old garage turned into a burger joint. The service was fast. The food was really good. I had the Jamaican jerk burger. It was cooked just right and had a lotOf flavor. The chicken tenders were also really good. The place is pretty small and the seating is limited. However, it's certainly cool to see and old abandoned garage turned into a neat little burger place. Definitely worth the stop and will eat here again when in town.
