Bonsai Sushi

Came back here this afternoon and I am pleased to say I find the same level of excellent service and excellent quality of sushi. We 3 rolls and the spicy tuna crispy rice. Incredible. The restaurant is a hole in the wall in the best possible way. We will be back.

This place is absolutely ridiculous. When you first walk in there's a really foul odor in the building. Have no idea what it smells coming from but it does smell like a sewer line and then you get past the smell and you go to try to order food to go and the lady tells you with only eight people in a restaurant that is gonna take us an hour to get two rolls Now if I chose to sit down, I can get my rolls quicker, but since my wife is at home and I wanted to bring her home some food. I can't get to go because it takes over an hour. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. I understand you may not need the business but it's such a service to your customers I've driven twice now over 30 minutes to come have sushi here and twice now it's been Over an hour wait for food yet there's nobody inside the building.

Yummmy!! This sushi is fresh and makes you want to keep going! Great job on the service you provided. And a beautiful place to chill and enjoy company with great food

The sushi is very filling, they serve big rolls! It is a small place, so reservations are recommended!!

Service is good. But the decor is outdated. Food! Absolutely horrible. I don't know what others ate here to give high ratings here. We had sushi and sashimi combo. And everything was horrible. Not fresh at all. Texture was disappointing. My yellow tail sashimi piece had so much tendons that I could not chew. Left the restaurant feeling disgusting. I had chirashi lunch a few years ago and I remember enjoying it. But today the food was so bad. Oh on top of that there were 2 pieces of undeniable fish. Brownish.... I don't know what to say. It was just very very unpleasant

Ate here for lunch and it was great. I couldn't believe how extensive their roll menu was, plus they had special rolls! Our server was very nice and came around often. I got the hot tea which comes with unlimited refills and she always came by to refill my cup. I ordered the tropical roll and it was very yummy. I also ordered the escolar sashimi, which was also fresh and good. I liked the tropical roll so much I ended up ordering another one. My friend ordered the candy cane roll and it was also delish - tons of different flavors going on! Highly recommend trying this place. I will definitely be back.

Found this place on Yelp for a birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint!We will certainly be back. We had miso soup, popcorn chicken, and three of the specialty rolls. These rolls were massive, fresh, and delicious.Service was very attentive and friendly which really makes this spot a standout.

They have the best yellowtail carpaccio I have ever tried. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend trying if you're in the area.

We really enjoyed Bonsai and highly recommend it. I have eaten at some others in Lake Mary, Dr. Phillips and downtown. Our server was kind and attentive. The sushi chef acknowledges you when you enter. This is our new to go place for date nights. My favorite roll is the Fatty Matty . Rolex is my 2nd choice and anniversary was 3rd. For 2 people who share, 2 rolls is enough

Simply put, hands down best sushi in town Family owned and operated restaurant with great food and service It's our go to sushi place but it gets packed so call ahead and make reservations Our favorite rolls are the Rolls Royce, Turner, and the Ultimate
