Went for a friends birthday. Small venue. The servers did a good job checking on all the tables during the show. $20 minimum. I had the calzone which was surprisingly good! Love a good live show. The main act was funny. Great night for $10!

We got free tickets from an org., so we went. Downtown, unless you can find available street parking, you'll pay $10-20+ for parking. You must be there 1 hour before the start of the show. This allows for the wait staff (very attentive!) to get you drinks and food. Note there is a minimum order of 2 things per person. I don't think they cook anything in the kitchen. It seems like everything comes in boxes and styrofoam from a pizza place a few doors down. Price for a small slice of pizza and a garlic knot is ridiculous at almost $10. The $14 calzone was the size of a bread stick. Oh well.Good thing is that the comedians were funny. There was a host who did about 10 minutes, followed by a starter who did 15-20 mins, and then the headliner came on for 35-40 mins. Overall I thought it was a fun experience. Just be ready to shell out $$ for the laughs.

I was not a fan of this Bonkerz in comparison to the Bonkerz at Boardwalk Bowl. It has an awkward setup for those sitting to the side. I should have asked for a booster seat. The "Stage" is set up in front of the previous "Pickle Bar". It's interesting to me as it was in the early 2000's I saw a young comedian opening for someone in Las Vegas, and he was introduced in a way where when you order a sandwich, you don't expect something to come with it, but it's a nice addition. The pickle. That comedian was Craig Robinson who was funnier than the main comedian and before he was on the office and hosting TV shows and that Funny AF Gain Commercial where they Parody "Flash Dance". Maybe one of the people here will be the next Pickle! The comedians can be hit or miss and the stars do not represent the quality of the comedians as that can be a personal taste. As a restaurant converted to a club, it didn't work for me. And when the tickets say doors open at 7:30 and you go in and the place is already full, then something is off. We had crap ass seats for people who arrived "early". The person running the event "seats" you where he sees fit, even though there may be other places to sit.All food and drinks are DIY as there was no wait staff asking if you wanted another beer or anything. It was still a fun night out but struggled to see anything. The sound was good though.Hopefully they find another venue as it will probably be a skip for us for a while, at least as long as it's at Twisted Root Burger.

The food is limited and what they have isn't great, sad lil chicken tenders, pizza, calzone etc. Our waitress was in training but did a pretty good job. They sell bucket drinks for $15 which isn't too bad for a club downtown. We were okay until the two rats fell through a hole in the ceiling and chased each other in the corner before disappearing. A guy came over to try to take a picture and dropped his beer bottle so now within 3 minutes- two rats and glass on the floor . I'm done and don't have to come back ever...I don't recommend.. at all.

I am literally still here and leaving this review. The staff is outstanding. I have not experienced such a better team in such a long time. They make you feel extremely welcomed, the drinks are strong, and the service is impeccable. The comedy is fantastic and something I highly recommend.

We have come here twice, with mixed results. Of course, some of the issues here are related to COVID, which has affected the limited comedians that come. Along with the ticket purchase to get in, you have a requirement to buy two items per attendee. These can be food or drink. There's not a significant number of food options, but there's a decent selection for drinks. My advice is that you focus on the drinks and eat a meal somewhere else. The food is ok, but not amazing. Besides, the drinks may make some of the comedians funny.Honestly, the comedy is hit and miss. Two of the comedians I have seen were funny. One was amusing and three have been terrible. One was actually making us consider leaving before the headliner. If you plan to go, do some research on who is coming so you know if it will be worthwhile. The tables are also very close to each other and if you're unlucky enough to end up near a group of blabbermouths, it can be difficult to hear the comedian, unless you're near the front. Some people attend this club not realizing that they're not the headliner and talking through the show. Seats closer to the comedian might help that issue.

The comedy club is nicely laid out. Social distancing as much as possible. The staff was friendly. The comedy acts were ok. Would go back if I'd the opportunity to get free tickets.

We had a horrible experience last night that ended up with food poisoning. Service was horrible, our server was completely overwhelmed, and under educated on how to serve a large crowd. The food was horrible, starting with a tiny selection. We got sat and then waited a good twenty minutes until someone stopped to check on us. Took another 20 minutes to get our sodas. We ordered the boom boom shrimp to start with. When it came to the table it was warm, but the breading didn't seem cooked. We ate a few but then gave up. Our server never came back to check on us, and our shrimp. We watched the 2 other couples at our table get their dinner. 2 pepporoni pizzas that were not cooked either. The dough was still raw. A wrap that the lady picked apart and didn't eat, and a chicken cesar that seemed more iceberg than anything else. None of them ate their food and no one checked in them. By the end of the comedy show we were both in so much pain that we left getting I'll our whole hour drive home. Still feeling sick today. If you go to the comedy club eat before hand and just stick to drinks as your 2 menu items. Even our dessert came out so mostly frozen. I loved the Colonial lanes location. They even had a better menu. This was a total let down!

Great local haunt with some of the best up and coming comedic talent. The place is new to Winter Park and has a great selection of craft beers and Cocktails. The burgers aren't so bad either.
