Blue Dog Craft Barbecue

First impression was "whoa wait...how much??" Probably because I smoke my own and rarely buy bbq. But let me tell you this! These guys know what they're doing. The bbq is excellent! So good that I'm writing this review...another rarity. Pork sandwichRibs Brisket Kind staff too.

This BBQ place is part of the vendor in the Joinery. Their BBQ is craft style. You will make the order from the counter and provide them your cell number. They text you when your food is ready. Usually don't take much time of waiting. I got a slice of brisket and 5 pieces of smoke wings. The brisket has very good marinated spice. The peppery edge make this very nice. The smoke wings are very smoky and crispy. Overall is good food. Price is in the high side. It make people go for other choices in the Joinery.

Went back for a second time and tried the pork belly. Highly recommend!! Best pork belly I've ever had. The owner and team are awesome and we can't wait to go back.

Best brisket in Lakeland! Very moist, well-seasoned, nice smoke ring, just the right amount of fat. This craft griller knows his meats! and those pickles & onions. yum. It's wonderful when a "joint" like Blue Dog transitions from Saturday Market, entrepreneur training and into a brick & mortar! This dude has also become an anchor business at the Joinery, Lakeland's food hall. Sandwich alone was about $9, platter is almost $20 (2 sides). Nice selection of desserts. I especially enjoy it when I get there with no line! The greatest fault is "access", be it parking, an inside line, or running out of items pending daily supply and demand. There is a friendly, efficient staff and you can often see the owner and other family on site. BBQ fans should not miss these tastes!

Pulled pork was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. The sandwich came with a generous portion of meat and bread was fresh. We ordered it without slaw, usually it comes topped with slaw. Mac and cheese was homemade and had a delicious flavor, the small size was also a generous portion. There was two different bbq sauces to choose from at a self serve station on the counter.

only had the brisket. perfect. puts the chains like mission, sonny's and even mojo federal to shame. homemade pickles, pickled red onions, homemade mustard bbq, brisket prepared Franklin style, salt and pepper, so tender, toasted buttered bun. run, take the train, drive, crawl, fly in. outstanding brisket.

If BBQ is your jam, Blue Dog is the real deal. Go hungry, and bring your patience for parking! They offer friendly counter service inside the Joinery Food Hall. It's a cute family friendly spot, perfect for groups, date night.. really anyone looking for a variety of great food and a lively atmosphere. BACK TO THE BBQ!The BBQ ribs are cooked to perfection, melt in your mouth delicious. The Collard Greens are tender, tangy, and full of flavor. Both the mustard sauce and sweet and spicy BBQ sauce are fantastic. We hadn't finished eating and we were already planning on what we wanted to try next time. Well done Boys!!! Great BBQ is an art and a science and you guys have got it down to perfection.

I love a good BBQ place and this one exceeded my expectations. The pulled pork was delicious and the FRIES! They're fried in tallow which gives it an amazing and nostalgic taste. The Joinery is a nice place with a family atmosphere. It's definitely somewhere I'd take my friends. The service was friendly and being here was an overall great experience.

Get here now! The food is amazing. We ordered a two meat plate, smoked turkey and brisket. Two sides. We chose mac & cheese and fries. Not just any fries, but fried in brisket tallow. Yum! The Mac and cheese, creamy and decadent. The brisket is fork tender , copious amount of black pepper creating the crust. Beautiful smoke ring. The turkey is juicy, tender , just the right amount of smoke. Delicious. For the turkey , the Alabama white sauce is a must.

Exceptional.A triumph.Hailey was kind, intelligent, and beyond gracious when she served what felt like the best pound of brisket I've ever consumed.The baked beans were also exceptional.I was floored by the taste, the texture, and the fact that you could have chopped all of it with a plastic fork.Worth a visit.
