The lobster ravioli was the best I've had. The plate was hot but the food was not. I think it sat in kitchen awhile as it took a long time to come out. I'll have the ravioli again with caveat to bring out while still hot!

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst experiences that I have had. My friend and I were thrilled to eat at this super cute seafood restaurant. We were craving fresh sushi. We ordered quite a few things on the menu because the details looked great. First, we ordered the Parmesan truffle fries, which came out extremely cold but had good flavor. We also ordered the beet salad, which we could not even eat because the lettuce was so wilted. We also ordered the rainbow roll which we were told was delicious and had all of the fish. However, the white fish came out gray so we didn't even eat our sushi. It also includes imitation crab, which we don't eat. We also ordered the salmon chips, which were actually really good and I loved it. Unfortunately, the conch fritters were extremely deep-fried and filled with a ton of breading and not much meat so we actually had to take it back. Unfortunately, this bad experience really made me question whether I would want to visit the restaurant again. I will say the server was very nice and extremely apologetic.

Amazing dinner! My wife and I had a reservation to Blu on the avenue to celebrate our anniversary during Magical Dining. THe Magical dining experience was a fantastic menu. I ordered a sushi roll for appetizer, swordfish on broccolini for the main dish, and a keylime dish. My wife ordered the filet w/ Mash potatoes & asparagus. The dish was extremely well cooked - so tasty! The restaraunts in on park avenue and a fairly small venue - yet there was plenty of roomy seating. Our waiter was extremely friendly too. Our whole experience was fantastic! Will definitely come back to Blu to see what else is on their menu.

I dined at Blu for their Magical Dining experience, and it was a mixed bag. The service was great, but it took an hour to receive our first course, which was surprising given that the restaurant wasn't busy at all.On the food front, the 3-course meal, priced at $40 per person, had its highlights. The filet mignon was outstanding--cooked perfectly and paired well with the potatoes au gratin. The shrimp tempura sushi roll was good, though I would have preferred a bit more rice in the roll. The swordfish, unfortunately, was a bit of a letdown. It was overcooked, and the salsa verde on top tasted more like hot dog relish, which didn't do the fish any favors. For dessert, the Oreo Delight was a safe bet--simple and tasty. The bread pudding was fine but didn't leave a lasting impression. On the drinks side, my traditional espresso martini (without the RumChata) was delicious, and the Cucumber Basil martini was refreshingly good. All in all, Blu offers a solid dining experience with room for improvement in a few areas.

We came here because we didn't realize another place we were going to was closed for the week due to some renovations. I had previously been here for happy hours and oysters and had always had great service and a good time. This continued with this visit. We were immediately sat and ask if we wanted water or a beverage. The restaurant is dimly lit and cozy which I like. Their menu has an array of food. I went with their edamame, sushi, and an espresso martini. The food came in a timely manner and tasted very fresh. I loved the espresso martini and would've had three if I could handle it!All in all, it was a great experience considering this place was not the original dinner plan. Service, food and cocktails were good!

I always come to blue but I forget to take pictures. We went for a magical dining and it wasn't a full house, but it's always inviting. The servers are always nice and the food is always delicious. I love the fact that they change up the menu every now and again but still least some of the classics. You honestly can't go wrong dining here. It's a staple of downtown Winter Park and worth your time!

Having previously dined at Blu on the Avenue, I already knew their sushi was top-notch. However, this time, I wanted to mix things up and try something new. So, I kicked off my meal with a sushi roll as an appetizer (I mean, their sushi is always good!), then opted for the lobster cobb salad as my main dish. I figured it was time to give their lobster dishes a try, and I'm glad I did! This was my first time trying a lobster salad, and I must say, I was impressed! The cucumber and prosciutto wrap not only added a beautiful presentation but also enhanced the flavor of the dish. One aspect that slightly detracted from the experience was the overwhelming amount of blue cheese dressing on the salad. It made it difficult to fully appreciate the other flavors, and I believe using a different dressing would better complement the lobster, allowing it to shine as the star of the dish. That being said, the portion size was generous and definitely worth the price. The service was also solid--our server was attentive and checked in on us frequently. The ambiance was nice, but it was surprising to see the restaurant clear out early on a Friday night. All in all, this restaurant offers delicious food, great service, and a nice ambiance. Looking forward to trying some of their other dishes next time I go!

Came here for a surprise birthday dinner. On first entrance the ambiance is very classy, clean and everyone was welcoming. They escorted us through the restaurant to the back of the restaurant, through an outside hallway to a private room which they were able to set up table decor and decorate how they want(nothing on walls) . It was beautiful. We have two servers and they were on it! Making sure every was accommodated very well (having to go back and forth to the bar back to the private room) they had a menu picked out that we were able to choose between chicken, salmon, and ravioli. The salmon was amazing along side the Caesar salad. The bartender was definitely heavy handed with our drinks. After we ate we were able to dance and just enjoy ourselves for the next hour and half

Really enjoyed this place. Visited because of magical dining. We went late on a Sunday night and it was empty (it was raining). There was no one at the counter but when they noticed us we sat down. The inside is pretty nice. Everyone that provided service made sure to check on us. The drinks are pretty strong so if that's your thing this is the place for you. I really liked the salmon and asparagus. Very nicely seasoned and asparagus was perfectly cooked. The appetizer was shrimp tempura sushi which I really liked because it tasted like they make the tempura fresh instead of using the frozen kind. The finale was the Oreo brownie. It was good but just too rich for my taste. Overall I would recommend

After eating brunch, my friend and I decided to stop at Blu on the Avenue for a quick drink. It's a comfortable size restaurant not too big and not too small, and it's nicely decorated. They have a good food and drink menu selection. The bartender was super sweet and helpful with our drink orders. We ordered an Expresso Martini and an Angry Dragon. My friend and I have tried several expresso martinis on Park Ave and this has been the best one yet. If you like tequila then the Angry Dragon is for you. Drinks and service were amazing and they also have a happy hour as well.
