Another fabulous meal at Blackbeard's. First and foremost - service was Fabulous! I recommend requesting Jimmy as your server. He's attentive, quick and so nice. He can handle the big tables and not make you feel like he forgot you, a party of two. Of course I had the stuffed flounder because, what else would I order?????If you haven't been you should see this place. From beach tables, port holes and other sea memorabilia it's a great place to don't go too hungry though, it's a popular place and you may have to wait for a table. Oh and DO get the fish chowder. It's GOOD!!!

An old school vibe with decent sized portions is what we found at Blackbeard's Inn. The Blackened Mahi-mahi dinner and the Sirloin Steak off the EaryBird menu were both pretty good choices and our server Joanne took good care of us.

Food and service was good. Huge menu with lots of choices. It was recommended to me to order the fisherman's platter blackened & broiled which I did and the quality was fantastic. The oysters were super fresh & tasty. Full bar.

You CAN'T go wrong here!!! Been coming here for 20 years and we ALWAYS have a fantastic meal. Old school steak house with delicious food. Always accommodating and great service. Our favorites are prime rib, broiled seafood platter, fresh fish and coconut shrimp. Everyone is always happy and satisfied when we have a meal here. You don't need to think twice about this place.

Always decent food with many options. Service is quick with water and drinks. Very sea worthy ship feel with wood planking and port holes ambience. I got the Blackbeard platter and Andrea got the salmon..... you won't leave hungry. I score a 7.5768. Reliable good seafood!

I've been to Blackbeard's many times over the years and have always had a great meal with stellar service. We always try to arrive before happy hour is over (until 7:00pm daily) and while they are offering the Early Bird Menu (until 6:00pm daily). Note that Blackbeard's is a local hot spot, so tables fill up quick. Many times, the lot is full, and there is a wait to be seated right when they open (4:00pm daily) especially on the weekends. Jimmy is our favorite server; he has been here forever, and always takes good care of us. We usually order the fried or broiled seafood combination ($21.99), which comes with fish, shrimp/scallop skewer, a petite crab cake, hush puppy, choice of potato/fries/rice/broccoli, soup & salad, hot rolls, and fresh baked cinnamon roll with whipped butter.On this visit, I upgraded my meal from broiled to blackened ($2 upgrade). The majority of our meal was excellent; unfortunately, the hush puppy was lukewarm and a bit dried out. My two Amber Bock's were icy cold ($6 each) and the soup, salad, and bread were all fresh and delicious.Walking into Blackbeard's is like a blast from the past, it has a rich history and nostalgia that cannot be matched; however, I would really like to see the owners upgrade some of the furniture. We had to move twice to find a more comfortable seating area in the dining room. The first table had so many customers/staff passing behind us, it was distracting. We switched to a booth, but the back was so straight (rigid) and the base of the bench was so short, that we felt like we were sitting at a kiddy table. Finally, we were able to move to a different booth with slightly better back and booty support. If you are in the New Smyrna Beach area, I highly recommend dining at Blackbeard's. I wish I could say it's the perfect place to eat, but it's got some imperfections. Regardless; in my experience, the service has always been on-point and the food consistently great.

Went for Happy Hour and ended up having an early dinner. Prime rib was excellent as were the ribs. Very nice server who took good care of us. Although it was crowded everything was ordered and served very quickly.

We have been coming to NSB for years on vacation. Blackbeard's is one of the places we will visit more than once for dinner during our weeklong stay. It's a family friendly restaurant with excellent food and service. Patrick was our server this evening and he was so nice and we joked with him a lot! Two of us had the prime rib, which is always excellent and the best I've had anywhere. Another in our party had fried shrimp, which was delicious and another had the fried platter. Complimentary soup and salads were delicious. Their fish chowder is yummy with pieces of white fish and veggies in a light tasty broth. Rolls and cinnamon rolls round out the meal. They also have the best hush puppies going!Pay them a visit, come hungry - you won't be disappointed!

Had the seafood combination plate. Everything was fried perfectly. I didn't care for the soup but the salad was perfect. The dressing was great, veggies were crisp and fresh. The rolls and cinnamon buns were an absolute delight. Had the Key Lime pie and it was also delicious. Will come here again. Friendly wait staff!

DH and I love steakhouses so we decided to try this restaurant. We had read so much about their prime rib and other steaks we decided to arrive early and we are SO glad we did!! They open at 4, we were early. They let us in and seated us right away. They are famous for going on a wait every weekend night. Our server was great! Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. I ordered the prime rib 12 oz, fried shrimp and the baked potato. DH ordered the New York Steak and baked potato. All meals come with a fish chowder, salad, 1 side, hush puppies, cinnamon rolls and bread. The food was awesome! We are definitely going back! The atmosphere is comfortable and there are several rooms of tables, booths and a bar. We were very happy with our experience and look forward to our next visit.
