I brought an international conference group to Gatorland where Big City Catering served our reception. They exceeded my expectations in both taste & service! Their soux chef served a Caribbean menu with recipes from his native country. My guests were thrilled with their entire experience. As a professional event planner from California, I wish I had access to Big City Caterers all the time.

Big City Catering provided catering and day-of coordination for my wedding at Paradise Cove in February 2010. Shannon was so helpful throughout the entire process and really made us feel like we were her #1 priority. She was available at any time to answer any questions we had. My husband and I especially liked that they gave us a personal tasting featuring the food we were considering for the menu, while many of the other companies we talked to only provided group tastings. As far as cost goes, I would say they are in the mid-range. However, they are very accomodating to your budgetary needs. We let Shannon know at the beginning what we were able to spend and she made sure that we got the most for our money.Best of all, the food was AMAZING! Everyone after the wedding kept telling me that the food was the best part, definitely better than other weddings they had been too. I have to say that Big City Catering provides the right combination of great service and fantastic food. Isn't that exactly what you want from a caterer?

I am using big city catering for my wedding at cypress grove. Not only did we have our tasting this evening for our wedding but we're blown away with the personality alone the chef and owner had. They really made us feel special.The food was amazing and we were able to try the options so we can get our menu Perfect for our day. The crab cakes and creme brûlée is to die for. I am beyond excited for our wedding and to have this vendor there to make sure the food quality is nothing but spectacular makes us feel 100% at ease.

They are all so sweet and professional! I highly recommend this amazing company! The food and service was on point. I'm so happy I was able to experience their expertise at my party.

Big City Catering just catered our daughter's rehearsal dinner and wedding reception. The food was amazing. They were able to accommodate all our guests dietary restrictions gladly. The entire staff was helpful and pleasant. The bartenders, servers and managers did an excellent job. Hats off the the Chef and his team of kitchen staff. The food was delicious. Both events were just perfect. Thank you so much!!

We had to use Big City Catering for a wedding and were disappointed on so many levels. They promised so much and delivered very little. We were told multiple times that we would be sent home with the additional food. We had 23 people not show up for our event. The food that was sent home may have been for 5 people. When we asked about the food we were told that they were worried about food safety. Food safety.... for rolls????We were told that the wedding party would be served cocktails and food after the pictures which didn't happen. Actually there should have been enough food for over 23 people at this point, so not sure why the wedding party was not even served. We were told that they would have the children's meals out at the beginning of the event and it was 45 minutes into the event before the children's meals were brought out. When a couple of the children didn't eat because they had already fallen asleep, we were told that they would box up the meal and it would be sent home, you guessed it, it wasn't sent home. We were told that they would serve the wedding cake that we had purchased from another vendor. They made a big deal about their "complimentary cake cutting service" that they were going to add in for us. We had purchased the cake for 30 more people than attended so should have had a lot of cake left over. I had to go get someone to even cut the cake and after a while went back to the kitchen to find out where the cake was and it was cut sitting on a buffet table. They were supposed to serve the cake but just cut the cake and didn't even tell anyone it was ready. Also, we had 6 thin slices that were sent home and the cake was actually for 30 people over what we had attend so I guess the catering crew ate the cake or took it home with them. The food was good however I would beware of any venue that only has one one catering company choice. Obviously, they ate really well off of the food and wedding cake that was promised to be sent home with the bride and the groom

We arrived at our rental house at 4pm and were hosting a special gathering for 20 at 7:30pm. We had arranged via email and phone with Big City to cater the dinner, Kansas City BBQ with some extras. From beginning to end everything went just as planned. Big City staff were professional, competent, and pleasant to deal with. As questions arose they were handled effectively and in a timely manner.The food arrived on time, was set up with all necessary serving dishes and utensils, AND it was delicious. I just had my wedding of 140+ guests at Cypress Grove Estate House this month. Cypress Grove Estate House is a beautiful venue to be married at and the team has good customer service and professionalism but be warned about their exclusive catering company- Big City Catering- An absolute disaster.Big City Catering: Customer Service- GoodFood quality- Very PoorWe went to Big City Catering's group food tasting a few months before the wedding. After the first tasting, we were a little concerned about the quality of the food. Most noticeably, the dry and overcooked meats and fish. When we requested a second tasting, we were offered a private one, where the food quality was MUCH better, so we felt good about committing to it for our wedding. Bad move. Unfortunately for us, the food on the day of the wedding was a disaster and quite honestly.. very embarrassing. The food did not compliment the type of venue we were at and our guests deserved much better. NONE of the food was presented, cooked, or tasted like it was supposed to have been, not anything near what we had agreed upon at the tastings. You don't want to experience how humiliating it is to have your guests complain about the food on the most special day of your life and know they were unsatisfied- not only with some of the food but nearly all of it. No refund or apology makes up for this extremely upsetting experience.Captain Morgan Beef- Completely different and poor flavor, texture, and presentability. Texture was hard and very chewy. Amandine greenbeans- Again, completely different and poor flavor, texture and presentability. Very little flavor, rubbery, not toasted, and missing the toasted almonds. Shrimp and Grits Hors D'oeuvres- Originally our favorite dish! It WAS NOT SERVED AT ALL and we paid additional funds to include this 'premium' hors d'oevre. Unwrapped Chicken Cordon Bleu- Completely dry and missing nearly all the sauce and toppings. Our biggest guest complaint of the night.

So glad we went with Big City! They did a terrific job from start to finish. The entire day went so smoothly Tracy and Brittany were excellent! The food was great, their vendors were awesome, and so easy to work with! We had a great time and owe Big City a HUGE thank you!!!
