An Orlando tradition for over 50 years. Old-school no frills place with the best roast beef sandwiches that just melt in your mouth. I only have 2 issues with his place. They close too early and it's so far away from me in the St Pete/Clearwater area. Seriously they close early and are not open Sundays.

Vintage looking restaurant - mom & pop place. Seating is kinda limited and it can get busy to where I always see a line wrapped around the building for the drive thru. People are super nice and helpful. I personally have to get the XL because it evens out the bun to meat ratio. I wish the tots were crispier so I tried the onion rings and they are crispier. I wish there was an option for melted cheese on the sandwiches. They have a few sauces and I recommend trying the jack sauce.

Visited for a sliced beef sandwich. I have spent years looking for a replacement for the beef sandwiches they used to serve at the chain of restaurants, Lums here in Florida. As sorry to say, Beefy King didn't do that. Was it good, absolutely, yes, was it great, no.

Simple direct and to the point. The food is great, just a well done roast beef sandwich. The service is great i love the fact it feels like your walking into a time machine. The decor feels like its the original furniture which make me feel like they opened up and made an amazing product and never had to depend on a gimmick or a fancy remodel to keep patrons coming back. Average noise levels, they do close earlier than most restaurants so make sure you pay attention to the operating hours.

We came here with some friends one day for lunch. I had been hearing about the legendary Beefy King for about all eight years I've lived in Orlando, but I just hadn't made it out there yet. Shame on me, because it was absolutely perfect. From the beat-up look of the building, making it look like it was, indeed, made in the 60's. To the menu that was unapologetically simple. The ambiance of this place was old, comforting, and I could have stayed in that building all day long. It brought me back to childhood. Wonderful. The service was great. Easy. You go up to the counter, place your order, and retrieve it when it's done. Not a lot could even go wrong. As for the food. This was the true shining star of this place. I got an X-Large Roast Beef Sandwich with a side of Beefy Spuds. I also got to try a Regular Bar BQ Pork Sandwich with a side of Onion Rings. Just excellent. I won't go into too much detail, because with how much I loved this place, it's going to just sound sarcastic, but it was like some nice man made this food for us in a backyard barbecue. We all know that's where the best food comes from. The roast beef was good, the BBQ pork was good, the sides were immaculately crispy. You really just can't go wrong. Come here.

Pros:Love the vintage vibe. Feels like you're back in the day when the place first opened. Service was quick and easy and the food all came out correctly. The menu was also quick and easy. Lots of simple sounding sandwich options. The food that we got was very good. Sometimes, simpler is better. This place shows that. Even the sides were perfectly crispy and not too greasy or anything. Cons:No cons. I wish it was closer to me. Lol.Tips:Get that roast beef. It is their signature item for a reason.

Just an Orlando staple, been here since forever. Always enjoy coming here, the orange shake is amazing and the roast beef sandwich was great. Only problem is I don't see a huge difference btw the jr vs XL. The price is $4 there might be a little more roast beef, but the size of the sandwich is about the same, the drink the same, and tater tot the same. Next time I won't upsize.

Time to update my review! I still got the No. 6 Regular (1/2 fresh roast beef and 1/2 pastrami), but this time I tried the "Jack" sauce as recommended at the drive through window. The sauce is a combination of the house sweet sauce and the house spicy sauce. It's fairly thick and has a great kick! (Not sure I could handle the house spicy after the "Jack" combination!) :) What a great sandwich! Also, a shout out to the drive through employees. They are always so friendly and good for a quick chat. I always leave with a smile on my face and happiness in my stomach. Beefy King is definitely an Orlando gem!

First try and will be back again, hot roasted beef sandwich is delicious and so is the orange milkshake. Long line at lunch hours but worth the wait. People don't mind waiting outside or drive through, that tells you it is a great place to try it out. Try it when you are in town or in the area, you will enjoy their sandwiches. They close at 3pm.
