I went years ago when they first opened and it was amazing. I have been a few times with friends and always delicious. But it has been a few months since I had been back. I stopped in the other day and I was happy to say is was just as good! Their menu has grown to include sandwiches, but of course I wanted the boards. They do offer mini ones made for one person. Loved everything I ate. However, I noticed the suggested percentages on my bill for $29. These are not correct and I know it's based the system they are using. I did tip $9 because I was happy about the food and I liked my server and the owner is really nice, however I know some people just look at those suggested amounts as a guide, but those calculations are not correct. There are also many tvs to watch the game on. There is a pool table and darts I believe. Big beer and wine list and canned vodka based drinks.

The wine selection is perfect and the beer list is extensive, but let me tell you about the food. The food sat in front of me for less than 5 minutes before it was gone, crumbs and all. Definitely a good place to go to watch sports or hang with some friends.

Wanted to try this place for a while was very disappointed. First the service was slow coming to the table for such a small place . Was looking forward to the wine flights only to realize it's cheaper to order a glass. Ordered the dessert special was not impressed not a bad price . But how this place survives is beyond me small .

This place is a perfect family-run small business! The owner is almost always there, making food to his personal high level of perfection and serving drinks to customers. The food is just phenomenal! This is not normal bar food; it's simple food meticulously prepared, always warm, and specifically tasty. Come here a few times and they'll remember your name and your order. They're super kind and fun to be around, generally family-friendly. Unlike every other bar, they have special events most nights: trivia, karaoke, live music, bingo, monthly car meets, and live comedians. They also support local businesses with lunch-time events, like a monthly small-business lunch and young professionals lunch. And they are expert with their beers, specially ordering a wide variety of craft beers and delicious wines.

This is the cutest place in Groveland! I drove from Clermont to meet some friends. We sat in big chairs and it was a casual experience that made you feel like you were sitting in a living room. There was charcuterie boards to choose from and different wines and beers. However, if you don't know which wine you want, you can get a flight if 4 which is what we did and it was amazing!!

My wife wanted to go out for the evening. It was Saturday night... I used to go to a wine n cheese Cafe MANY years ago when I lived on Long Island. We LOVED the place. Naturally there was all kinds of wines and beers. They had many cheese boards that came with bunches of fruit and crackers. On Friday and Saturday nights they would have someone playing a guitar and singing mellow rock music... James Taylor, Carol King, etc. Music for the background. When Barrels and Boards opened up, I read some good reviews and thought FINALLY a wine and cheese place like the old days. When we walked in, there was a drummer and a guitar player banging out some rock tunes. To say it was loud is an understatement... In fact no one took the two tables that was up front near where they were playing. I wanted to leave right away. I don't like having to scream to my wife in order to have a conversation. Away, we were there and decided to stick it out.I ordered a beer and my wife ordered a flight tray of wine. Both were okay. Nothing special about my beer. I looked at the menu again and realized nothing was from a tap. All of their IPAs were from cans! I could have stayed home for that... Their prices weren't bad for a bar/restaurant, whatever you call it. Once again, there was no tap. Needless to say I was disappointed. Our board of cheese meat and crackers came. It was $18 and everything on it was very fresh. There was a few different cheeses, some very thin sliced meats and a tiny tiny amount of fruit. I think there was one strawberry cut in two, 3 raspberries, two blackberries, and about 6 little blueberries. The fruit looked like it was there just for color, but I will say everything on the board was fresh and tasty. The crackers were okay, nothing to write home about. I think I recognized them from the local grocery store. There was a small sworl of spicy brown mustard that was probably from Gulden's. Come on man... On an $18 set up, can't you give me something a little more exciting? Maybe a dab of stone ground mustard. I have Guilden's at home!So in conclusion, I felt like this place was just a wine and beer bar, (no they don't have a full liquor license) that has some cheese n cracker boards... The atmosphere was aa yawn as well. While not a bad place, just nothing there that would make me want to come back.

We come here for trivia on Thursdays and love it. The boards are really well done, food is fresh and professionally prepared. We have gone here with many different in-town guests and every single one of them have been impressed. The wwners and staff are very friendly, nice selection of beer and wine. The dessert board always ends the night really well for us and has a great selection.
