We were at the hotel for a 2 day conference and dining became very difficult with so many people and not that many restaurants. Service was very slow. Food was average and overpriced. Drinks were tasty but really didn't justify the price as well. This was not my favorite dining experience out of the 4 days I stayed at the hotel.

The quality of the sushi here is pretty good. However; Banrai loses a star for an outdated menu and what seemed like disengaged staff. The drink menu was so outdated that we ended up having to ask the server to just pick our beers and wines. Every time tried to pick a drink from the menu the sever apologized and said they no longer offered that drink. Not kidding or exaggerating when I saw we went 3 or 4 rounds of this game. Ha.The server was generally cordial but was either exhausted from not having enough support / coverage or otherwise just didn't care enough to put in the extra effort of a smile or making small talk.

Being a sushi lover, I wanted to know why Banrai pride themselves on their perfect combination of flavors and textures. Therefore, we found ourselves dining at Banrai which was delightful experience. My small party and I enjoyed appe-teasers and sushi entrees such as miso soup, house salad with a mind-blowing ginger dressing, as well as dynamite and cali rolls. I understand why many guests would choose to dine at Banrai. With a split-level floor plan connected to Rosen's Headwaters Lounge you'll definitely experience guests who love a variety of delicious foods and drinks. The customer service was amazing. The wait staff was highly attentive and knowledgeable of their menu items.

Save your money and get sushi from the Publix less than 100 feet away. The sushi here is overly priced and tastes like it is refrigerated versus fresh. I ordered the Rainbow roll and the Florida roll. They were $22 each and were small in size. The rolls were very cold and did not taste great at all! So disappointed! Definitely will not return!

Came here last night and split the spider and the dynamite roll. The sushi was just okay. Expensive and not very flavorful. The seaweed salad though, was amazing! The flow from kitchen to the waiters was a bit disorganized. At one point they pulled one of the tables in the main dining areas, leaving the 3 chairs behind and used the table as a place to set the food from the kitchen down for the waiters to grab and run to the tables. It created a block from the bar to the kitchen and seemed unnecessary. I had expected a bit more from this place since it's located within a hotel that holds conferences all the time, but oh well.

Hidden gem in a convention hotel. Came for a conference didn't feel like going out. So our son wanted Japanese. Sushi is made fresh and can watch it being made if you like. The server was friendly and always around when we needed something. The nice thing is I was able to order a burger from The connecting bar. The appetizers had great flavor. You pay for connivence of it being hotel $$$. But again was worth it. Great dining experience.

Came here as I was staying at Rosen Shingle Creek for a conference. The sushi is good as was the service but nothing amazing! A little pricey.

TLRD; Long wait, disappointing & overpriced food, great wait staff. This establishment earned their two stars due to our excellent waitress. She was prompt, attentive, friendly & knowledgeable.Food took 30 minutes to arrive on a "slow" night. With only a single other occupied table, I imagine they had to go catch the fish out back. No reasons offered, just apologies for the delays. My friend had a soup and I ordered a Dragon Roll. Now typically I'd say a Dragon Role to be a safe order. However their chef decided that cream cheese was a good idea to include. In sushi? The entire rich history of sushi cried out in revolt, and unsurprisingly, my taste buds agreed. My friend's soup, extremly bland and lacking in any flavor or spice.Top it all off with an overpriced tab. Fire the chef, give your wait staff a raise.

Enjoyed dinner here twice during the week while at the hotel for a conference. I am no aficionado but I did live in Japan for two years. I thought the yellow tail nigiri and eel nigiri were delicious. I had the seared tuna appetizer and it was bomb! And A LARGE serving, even though it was a single. Price on the seared tuna was surprisingly good, the nigiri not so much, but it's a hotel restaurant, so pretty much on par.Staff very friendly and enjoyed sitting at a table one night and the bar another.
