Banana Cabana

We stopped by the Banana Cabana at 9 pm after checking in to our room at Caribbean Beach Resort. We easily found seats at the bar, where we found the bartender to be excellent! I have an allergy to pineapple and she was very careful when making my drink & had the chef come out to check before I ordered dinner. I ordered the Kraken Punch and it was delicious: blood orange and rum based. I also had the Calypso salad, which the dressing was my favorite part. My friend ordered a burger and cocktail and liked her meal as well.

~ Skyliner Bar Crawl - Part 2 ~For my wife's birthday in March, we decided to revamp our Skyliner Bar Crawl and it was a great success! In this series of reviews, I will review all the bars we visited on our crawl. I will provide my opinion of each of our stops and give tips for anyone who wants to build their own Skyliner Bar Crawl! The Skyliner is my favorite attraction at Disney and this is my ideal Disney day.Location:Location-wise, this is one of my favorite spots on the bar crawl. It's a nice breezy outdoor location. It's a little bit of a walk to get from the Skyliner to Banana Cabana, but it's worth it! The server seemed a little unnerved by our party size of 9, but she did her best. This is the pool bar for Caribbean Beach but it was pretty quiet while we were there.Drinks:Like most pool bars, Banana Cabana has a selection of tropical drinks. They have frozen cocktails to cool you down from your walk from the Skyliner station, alongside the usual collection of beers, wines, etc. They also have mocktails and lemonade for any teetotalers in your party.Food:Banana Cabana has a nice selection of classic bar snacks like wings and chips, as well as burgers and fries to munch on. Since Banana Cabana opens at 11am, it's a good option for a lunch stop on your bar crawl (usually a late lunch since we start our crawls around 1pm/2pm).

Stopped for a quick drink while waiting for food pickup...staff were attentive enough, and prices were (Disney) reasonable, but odd arrangement with seating - about 1/3 of the bar is apparently dedicated to ordering, leaving about 10-ish seats available...I stood to the edge of the ordering area since I was alone, and was asked to move to a seat when none were available except for two larger tables, which I didn't want to unnecessarily take up. It seems they could better utilize their space or consider those who might want a quick drink (I imagine that's not a rare occurrence here). Otherwise, fine - sort of a tropical vibe, consistent with the resort.

Great service but the typical 15 dollar over priced drink in a plastic cup poolside. Doesn't mean we didn't love every sip and will be back again for sure. Of all the disney hotel pool bars this one has fast service, but wish they served to your seat by the pool. The way this pool is set up however is very fun for families of all ages!

It's a run of the mill casual spot for you to grab a quick bite to eat either for lunch or dinner. Ambiance gives you a relaxing tropical vibe as you're next to the resort's pool area and you get a great view of the lagoon and the skyliner running back and forth. Menu may be revised due to the pandemic but there's still plenty to choose from. Be sure to download the My Disney Experience app for the most recent menu. They have chicken wings, salads, sandwiches, burgers & fries. Really nice selection of cocktails and a few nice non alcoholic mixed drinks too. BF got the Cuban sandwich and I had a craving for just a plain ol burger & fries. May be simple but def was satisfying. There's a line just for people who want to order drinks and take it back to the pool area. And if you want to sit down at the tables, find a hostess and she'll put your name down. We came here for dinner on the day when we were checking out different resorts Disney has to offer. Riviera is gorgeous and fancy. And Caribbean Beach Resort gives me a chill tropical vibe.

Loved Banana Cabana at the Disney Caribbean Resort! It's so cute and it's right next to the resort pool as well as the Sebastian's Bistro! You can also sit by the water on the Adirondack chairs.There are lots of tropical drinks. You definitely feel the tropical vibe. The bartender was very nice and energetic and the pina colada and guava colada were to die for!

After staying at Caribbean Beach Resort over the summer Banana Cabana became a must do on any future visits. It was completely remodeled and reopened towards the end of 2018 so most of the photos on Yelp are old! I suggest you do a google search to get a real look at the new look and new menu. The bar is quite large for a Disney pool bar and they also have plenty of table seating too. Service is top notch here. We had the Chili con Queso and it was delicious and a huge portion, more than plenty for two people!

You sit where you like and the server comes to your table to serve you. Instead, I sat for 30 minutes with no server or menu. I was completely ignored. I went to the bar twice to ask for service and was told that someone would come and I continued to get ignored as new guests sat and were immediately served. The bartender apologized indifferently when she could have easily alerted a server. They wasted my time. To add insult to injury, the couple who sat down at the table after I left was served and eating within 10 minutes. I was hungry and leaving with no food, drink or service after 30 minutes. I could not have felt more ignored and insulted.I used to love this resort but the service at the restaurants have been subpar in recent months. I don't think I will return. This is not the first time I have had bad service at this location.

Service was excellent, we understand the waiter can't control how the food tastes. We ordered the calypso salad w/jerk chicken. Quite honestly it was horrible. We definitely do not recommend ordering it. The cilantro lime vinaigrette that came with salad was terrible. Coming from an Equine vet "It tastes like regurgitated horse grass". The drinks were great and the service was excellent. Just don't recommend the salad at all! We forgot to take pictures! Wish we could have included them.
