Back Yard Burgers

I grabbed a burger yesterday and it was hot and fresh off the grill !!! It was busy as always but worth the wait !! I went through the left side drive through alone to get it and it was worth it All of their burgers are good but get the Black and Bleu if you like Bleu cheese!! You won't be sorry. I had fries and a Dr Pepper. It was worth the calories and heart burn !Thanks Nancy and team for the quick and correct order

Everything was great. This place kinda went meh for a time after the pandemic, so we took a break for a while. Today was the day we thought we'd give it a shot and glad we did!First, love the glow up. The new Astro turf and seating is amazing. It unfortunately is sprinkling so we opted to stay in our vehicle today. But will definitely come check out the table with swings for seating. Anyway, black and blue burger, delish. Mushroom Swiss + onion straws, also delish. The garlic parm fries were delish. I have a single complaint...it's cold outside, The insane amount of ice in the cup...unnecessary and unwanted. $2 for a cup of side with a splash of soda...come on. Come on. I mean come on. Seriously? Ok but that's the only real complaint. I usually don't ever order a beverage...yeah. Now let talk about service! Wow. How can you not smile when you have such friendly people at the helm? Blown away. I was already having a good day, but it's is super nice to have someone with my same happy-enthusiastic personality. Not over the top, but caring. Not sure how explain but it's a pleasant surprise and it made my day that much better. Yeah come check them out if it's been a while or it's your first time. This is real char grilled, unlike the "king" that uses artificial flavoring. Don't get me wrong, these are well seasoned, but without the nasty artificial flavor. It's the real deal here.

Love their burgers. And use the left lane it's faster. They've redone their outdoor patio with nice umbrellas too.

What a great authentic burger joint! I have never heard of Back Yard Burgers until my friends mom recommended it to me to try out. They had a lovely outdoor seating section with fans to survive this unbearable FL heat! My friends family and I ordered a total of 5 burgers, 3 sides of fries and 2 strawberry banana milkshake, and still got our food pretty quick! I ordered the black jack burger and I can taste how well the meat is cooked here. The only complaint I have would be that there was barely any mayo, which did leave the burger quite dry. However, the toppings made up for it! And the waffle fries were seasoned well.My friends sibling accidentally spilled her strawberry banana milkshake on the table, so I went up to the pick up window to ask for napkins and if they could possibly give us one. However, the worker said they were not able to and that we would have to reorder, which was expected! Then, after sitting back down and eating our meal, the manager from the drive-thru window called out to me to ask what flavor milkshake it was and that she would give us one. I was shocked and did not expect to get a free milkshake from them. Not only that, but the manager brought out the milkshake for us, which I thought was very sweet. 10/10 Excellent customer service and milkshake!

I haven't been here since my mother lived in Altamonte Springs many many years ago (close to twenty)! Anyway this place is still here, still run by the most courteous employees and still the best (albeit priciest) damn fast food burger in Seminole County. Nowadays they have an electronic kiosk at the walk up window, although they will let one order in the old fashioned way if asked. I needed to because they didn't populate the milkshakes in the system, having just replenished their ice cream supply. So the folks inside were more than happy to get us squared away!In addition to milkshakes (chocolate for me, vanilla for Queen Bee) we split an order of onion rings and each ordered a classic burger: me a double and she a single, plus American cheese in her case. They still taste like they were grilled out in the (duh) back yard . Classic dressing is red onion, pickle, ketchup,mayo, lettuce and tomato. They have plenty of other burger iterations along with chicken sammiches, weenies and other things. Bun held up surprisingly well for my huge double with all the toppings etc. Onion rings were REAL onion rings: steak cut monsters with beautifully crisp breading rather than gloppy mushy batter. Shakes were real shakes with real ice cream and milk, topped with whipped cream and cherry to boot! We did it this way because neither of us wanted a soda and/or fries. The fries here are two: waffle fries or seasoned ones; eh...I tell you, though: these people are moving the drive thru lines pretty quick and even keeping up on walk up window. They need to because as we were sitting here outside at a concrete bench and table...woo! They got busier than all get out. I wish there was one of these near where I live in the Tampa area, but the next closest one of 'em after here is like North Carolina or something. Maybe someone trolling this review will get an idea and run with it. Yes, it was a $28 lunch, but damn was it fantastic. These people can move into OUR back yard anytime they want!

I have ordered takeout from this place twice so far and both have been very good, their burgers are tasty, and well-presented. Can't wait to go there.

Absolutely love my shakes here! Have tried their burgers, sandwiches, fries, and cobblers and it's all tasty. Love that the drive-thru allows people to use self-service or to talk with an employee. Orders tend to be ready pretty quick and people are usually pretty nice in the brief interactions. Haven't eaten there since they don't have indoor seating, but for anyone interested, they do have some seating outside by the walk-up window.

Delicious food, but you get what you pay for so a little pricy. Nice selection, many choices.

It's been a long time since I've had a Backyard burger! My usual favorite is the Hawaiian chicken burger, with the pineapple and all! Today I ordered a classic which comes with lettuce tomato, red onion, and ketchup & mayo. Honestly, it tastes like it was home grilled and served in our backyard. Probably why they were given this name. Same great taste and same great customer service. What I loved most was they created 2 serving windows on both sides of the building to make their distribution much faster. It's a definite must try if you haven't had one. This quality of burger is called a tweener; in between a gourmet burger and a fast food burger in my book! Thanks for the quick - on the go - better than regular fast food meal!

We live in the neighborhood 20+ years and had never stopped by until today. The kid at the window was a sweetheart we told him it was our 1st time and he did his best 1st impression BUT the burgers were NASTY!! The bun tasted old the meat had no taste whatsoever and it was not hot at all - mushrooms from a can for sure and MUSTARD ????! Just nasty The soda was watery- I had to ask for another kind. Justice to the French fries tho and it was pricey too. We are not a Mc Donald's fans at all but really, at least they don't claim "fresh grilled" like this place do so. This was a 1st and NEVER AGAIN experience. Wednesday 3pm no excuses.
