Not too much of a fan. Their brown rice was too salty for my taste and a bit chewy. But that's just me. Food came out quickly

Okay Asian Star! POP OFF lmao this order was very good. My new favorite Asian take out restaurant. The noodles were fresh and chewy, I loved the texture. The orange chicken was delicious. Crab Rangoon's on point. The fried dumplings hit the spot. Yes. 10/10.

Wonton soup was great flavor, hit the spot. Chicken wings n pork fried rice was very good. Rice could've used a lil more onion, egg n pork tho. So far like this place better than the ones in the neighborhood but still looking for the best.

My quest for good New York style "take out" Chinese brought me to Asian Star. It seems to be very difficult to find quality Chinese here on the east side of Orlando, so my quest brought me to this location located in a strip mall just off of Chickasaw. I called in my pick up order and was given a fifteen to twenty minute time. This would become close to an hour. Disorganization seems the standard operating procedure here. Instead of giving a name or getting a number, you must recite your whole order to pick it up. When we got in there was a line of people waiting for their food, again, there seems to be no reason or steps to insure a smooth system to get the customers their orders on time. This is a serious issue. Anyway, after a out an hour, forty five minutes over my supposed pick up time, they brought my food out. They called out the order by everything I ordered, I went to the front, grabbed it and headed home.Upon arriving home I discovered they forgot the egg rolls that come with their combination dinners. The wonton/egg drop mix soup wasn't bad, though it could have used a bit more seasoning. My curry chicken was not too good and one of my fellow diners said her shrimp lo mein smelled a bit fishy. No one was satisfied with their dinner. I guess my search for good New York style Chinese continues. I can't see myself returning here.

Yep, this is another one of those Chinese takeout joints that are a dime a dozen throughout town. They follow most of the same menu and combos as other Chinese takeout restaurants. But, that's not a bad thing!I was in the area near Asian Star the other night, and I had a craving for Chinese. Not fancy Chinese, just good old fashion Chinese takeout. They're located near the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market on Chickasaw. Their decor is pretty much the same as any other Chinese takeout place, but, again, that's not a bad thing!Asian Star Restaurant has an interesting approach to handling the COVID situation we find ourselves in. When you walk in, you are confined to a small, boarded up area just inside the entrance with a speaker to allow you to communicate with the staff. While I miss the days of chilling at a table while waiting for my table, I'm more than happy to see places like this take super precautionary measures for the safety of customers and staff. I placed my order for General Tso's Chicken and fried rice and was told it would take about 10 minutes. They were exactly right. After 10 minutes, they came outside to tell me that my order was ready. The staff was attentive and did a great job of handling phone orders and in person orders at the same time.My dinner was nice. With places like this, I usually make it halfway through before I tap out, and this is no different. They hook you up with plenty of food at a decent price, and I found myself with a nice dish of leftovers for the following day. The General Tso's chicken was delicious and so was the fried rice. It all came to a very reasonable price that included a great eggroll.I don't frequent this area of town that often, but when I do, I plan on sampling some of their Thai dishes which is a nice addition to the usual Orlando Chinese takeout restaurants. If your find yourself in the area, Asian Star is a solid bang for your buck. Sure, it's nothing fancy, but even non-fancy Chinese food is still pretty damn good.

This food has no flavor and is not authentic at all. Costco has better Chinese food. If you want uncle Ben's rice proceed to order!
