Asahi Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar

Hailey was our server and she did an amazing job. Parking lot was a little dark, but once inside the interior is quiet. Food was outstanding. From the dumplings to the sushi platter. All around total winner.

In for dinner with my son, who is a 7 year old sushi aficionado. We ordered the following 2 egg sushi, 1 tuna roll, 2 spicy tuna roll, 1 spider roll, and 1 California hand roll. Soup and salad were great, all rolls came out together and quickly and they were pretty busy with DoorDash orders too. Ambience was relaxing and our server, I believe it was Ryan was friendly and accommodating. Both my son and I throughly enjoyed. Thank you! I would recommend and we will be back! Only one small thing. The fountain Pepsi was a little flat but, did not in anyway change our experience.

We just tried this place and absolutely loved it. They have awesome plum wine. It's not too sweet and yummy. The eel roll was my favorite. We also liked the one that had the multiple fish/shrimp on top unfortunately not sure the name. We ordered a lot of rolls so it did take some time. We went close to closing but they were so welcoming. Place was not busy so it was quiet and relaxing. We will definitely go back.

First time eating from Asahi Japanese Restaurant. We ordered a Bento box of shrimp tempura and vegetable. We truly enjoyed it! We will definitely return!

Found this spot on a search for sushi bars in the area and to be honest....It was a pretty good find. Definitely a hole in the wall I would recommend to others. Their place is a little small in size but let me tell you, the quality of food was ON POINT. We ordered 5 half rolls off their $3 menu, 1 krab nigiri, and two house soups that were amazing. We also ordered 2 other meals and 3 different flavored mochi that were delicious. Lastly, the waitress we had serving us was great as she attended to all our needs, our questions about the menu, and made sure we enjoyed our food. Overall, we will definitely be back for another visit and I suggest any one reading this to try them out. Either at their table or take some home to yours.

Okay so i have liked this place in the past and the sushi has always beed edible and not too bad. I recommend to a friend of mine and business partner to grab a bit to eat there. He got the chicken teriyaki bento box and i got three items salmon sashimi appetizer and two rolls a mexican roll and a spicy tuna roll. And we got a large sake. The served it in a water pitcher with hot water and the carafe was sitting in hot water. Thee was no communication with the server when she dropped it off we looked at it as though it was weird but served the sake. The young servers were more interested about getting back on their phones. Ok so not realizing that the pitcher was their way of warming up the sake we poured the sake and the liquid in the pitcher was mixing with it. I have ordered Sake a million times and never seen this and we both thought maybe it was a new trend. Every time my friend poured the sake it was miking with the hot water. We asked the server what is this and she said the pitcher was full oh hot water and the Sake was in the carafe lets be clear that is not cool she should have told us when she delivered it and when asked she said its only water. That kinda puzzled me and my friend was like we will just order another and this one came with no pitcher kinda a gross. The the food came and my buddy's first bite of the chicken teriyaki had a 10 inch hair in it that was disgusting he sid not want to eat after that and they took it off the bill which was nice but the manager/owner could have came out and made an apology but he never did and i also ordered sushi to go also prior. The service was slow and the the servers were not professional young gurls that had a non empathetic attitude and their computer and cell phone was more important than the customers. I might try it again but these days restaurants need to step up their service, practices and quality. The ambiance i feel like they could of taken a scrub brush and a coat of paint to make it better. There was an unclean look below the surface of the restaurant. Again if i go back, which im not crossing off, it will be a while though. At this time i would suggest to get people that care about their job and clean and straighten up a bit "lipstick and rouge" would do wonders. Good luck i hope they get it together i know they have the propensity to make great food they just need to regroup and make it happen. Also want to say i get it accidents can happen but poor communication there is no excuse. Training from the top will go miles.

This small hidden gem is a favorite of ours when we are in the area visiting. The food is scrumptious and plentiful. You will not be disappointed. Our favorites are the papasan and the volcano and lets not forget the namesake dish Asahi roll. The staff is courteous and attentive. The dining area is small so get there early, however if you have to wait it'll be worth the wait.

First visit, was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was, so many options; baby octopus, Florida roll, Asahi roll, rainbow roll, New Orleans roll to name a few, very fresh and delicious- staff super friendly - next time going to try on site dining

Fantastic sushi; but, their prepared meals are average. Waitress was patient and hard at work.Overall, good food decently priced.
