The Rundown:Large custard joint with lots of flavorful options and items made in house.The Review:Driving by, I had never heard of Andy's and figured I'd give it a try as I was in the mood for something sweet. First impression - it's quite a walk if you're accessible. I am really intrigued the thought that went into the design, as you can't easily get to the front counter or seating area without walking back and around the building. Anyways, when you get up to the front it's very open and welcoming. Large menus, lots of service windows. And a lovely seating area. The staff were very prompt, friendly and eager to serve. I decided to try the shake and it was made quickly. It was incredibly rich, and thick. At first I was worried it would be hard to drink but it was not too difficult and added a nice texture. Prices did feel a bit higher than average, my shake came out to ~$9 for the large (regular was ~$7). Overall, if you've got a sweet craving this place will definitely satisfy. They even offer a drive-thru for convenience! But if you'd like a nice place to sit and catch up with friends, this place has it.

The frozen custard was delicious. The service was fast. The prices are a bit high compared to Twistee Treat just across the street.It's a little strange that the counter where you order is outside but looks like it's inside. There are a few benches outside if you want to sit and talk while enjoying your treat.There's a drive-thru if you already know what you want and plan to take your order home.

Wow!!! We came here on a Sunday night because twister treat had a line twisting around the building! Love that they have a drive thru and no line. I would put their vanilla milkshake up against any other. It was decadent and quickly made. The triple chocolate small is by no means small and just pure heaven. So tasty!

Love love love Andy's! Every time I come to Orlando, I make the trip out here. The custard is so soft and creamy and the standard, the way every type of soft serve should taste. There is so many options here, it's hard not to find something for everyone in your group.They are always speedy and friendly here, and the dining area and order area looks brand new every time!

Frozen custard is a dish best served cold. Ok, that's it for bad humor. In all seriousness, with a Culver's (which has good frozen custard) around the corner and a Twistee Treat right across the street, opening this location was certainly a risk. Well, for those who prefer frozen custard to soft ice cream, it was a risk for which they can be thankful. Andy's custard was thick, rich, and creamy. Some custards are Almost too dense, but not here. The custard is delicious. Good service and a great product can both be found here. Give Andy's a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

I had an amazing experience at Andy's Frozen Custard, thanks to Diego! I asked him to surprise me, and he made his favorite: vanilla custard with cherries, Heath bar, and hot fudge in the middle. It was SUPER GOOD! Highly recommend Diego for a delicious treat!

The texture is so creamy. I thought it was melting too fast, but it's just that smooth. I tried the seasonal key lime pie, and now I'm mad the season is over. It was so delicious. We also got a butter pecan and it was good but not your typical butter pecan.For being new, service was fairly decent. It's definitely going to give the shop across the street a run for their money.

My family came over to Andy's late one Saturday afternoon after dinner. When we arrived, there was a short wait of people to order before us which was nice because we hadn't been there before and it gave us time to look at the extensive menu. The outdoor seating was quaint, cute, and well lit for people to sit outside - even at night. We ordered Oreo chocolate frozen custard concrete in a small as we saw other people's orders coming out and the serving size was large. It was delicious and refreshing on a hot Florida night.

So while I had high hopes it falls short.The custard's made fresh, but it's not cold enough and melts before they can hand you the cup. Two spoonfuls in and you should just drink it like a milkshake at that point! Damn, this isn't rocket science, the custard needs to set up in a freezer after coming out of the machine for at least a few hours. Flordia heat isn't like the summer in Iowa, you can't get away with it right out of the machine here melts to quick.Frankly the "twister" place across the street doesn't melt as fast and it is 1/2 the price at that and even it comes out of a machine and isn't cooled further first and still holds up 5 spoonfuls on in.It's also not a premium base mix they are using, I can tell you the egg and cream content is higher at say a burger / custard place that starts with a "c" or the other place that starts with a "b". It's just a better mix being used at those other places. There is a place in Clermont, better there also, more creamy and less ice content. Let the custard melt and then refreeze it, you'll see what I mean.So given all the choices around and everything else being equal, I'd skip it.. you'll have a better custard elsewhere.
