American Kitchen Bar & Grill

Cozy little bar and restaurant located inside the Renaissance Hotel and Spa (formerly the B Resort and Spa) near Disney Springs. I placed a to go order at the bar and ordered a drink while I waited in a not so busy Tuesday evening around 8ish. While not busy the staff seemed frazzled and it took more than 10 minutes for the bartender to take my order only to be told later the bar did not carry amaretto for my drink. I opted for a Tito and cranberry that packed a punch. The burger was large and well cooked. Messy just like I prefer the fries were good but clearly cooked before the burger so not pipping hot. I'll pass next time and walk down to Disney Springs

The service was fabulous!! The bartender took care of all tables in the bar and he was great!! The food was just average. I tried the pimento cheese appetizer and it was good, but I would have preferred baguette over deep fried saltines. The mahi sandwich was lacking flavor and was a bit fishy for my taste. The key lime pie was too sweet. The atmosphere was pleasant and I was able to catch football. I will probably revisit because of convenience, but would not go out of my way to eat here.

Has Orlando that bad that you need to add an 18% service charge for a single sitting at the bar? I'm glad I caught that - it should be mentioned that the service charge was added.

Nice restaurant at the hotel. We had a lunch here after spending the day at the parks. The food was alright. The menu is very limited with standard option for fish, chicken and steak. Meal presentation and the atmosphere of the hotel are definitely the best features. Kids would probably love the place especially because of the cool design. The service and alcohol drinks are the reason for 4 stars.

For a hotel restaurant this is a home run, compared to chain restaurants it is great too. We ate here many times as other restaurants were not as convenient as this restaurant. Their breakfast was the most delicious and their service was great and coupons handy. We had to separate the bill for expense reporting and they accommodated our annoying but necessary request. Our kids really loved playing and taking pictures in the truck located in the restaurant. What kids doesn't like to pretend to drive !? American kitchen was a safe bet if you stay at B resort

Even though the hotel is being renovated the restaurant is still open. the burgers are great along with the fish tacos. The bartender Chad is awesome as well. one of the best bartenders I've ever had.

Reasonably good food. The breakfast menu seems designed to point you toward the buffet and I would recommend that because service was extremely slow for the a la carte items.

Unfortunately they need two bartenders. Or the one they have should pay attention to the patrons at the bar instead of taking walk ups ordering wings first. Great looking place but leaves a bad taste when waiting 20 minutes to be acknowledged. Sad that a group of guys actually went to the lobby market and bought beers and brought them into the bar.

Food was ok, but overpriced. Hospitality fee was added into the check without warning.

The fish tacos were excellent. Seemed to be understaffed- with one person waiting on all tables and tending bar. Watch for service fees added to bills.
