American Japa Sushi

Keeping this one short. The salmon here was DELICIOUS, sashimi, nigiri, delicious. Was expecting more options from sushi menu and the Eel was served cold in my eel roll - no bueno. The fact that there were so many rude tourists here also turned me off. Service was decent..minus the 18% added for 2 people automatically which tells me....tourist trap if you're taking advantage of people by adding tip. Plus side they did ask if I wanted to change it, awkward because the good natured person in me gave 18% but for the cold sushi that should be warm... probably would've gone 15-16% well played. Inside is a bit tight but again full of loud tourists, typically doesn't bother me but sushi restaurants are meant to be relaxing in my mind. I will add service was fast, people constant checking if we needed anything definitely a plus but that tip thing....dont like it.

A small nice hidden gem. We decided this place as a dinner for my sisters birthday. When arriving, we weren't sure if it was open due to the blackout windows and the sign was not lit up. We saw someone walked out right when we were about to leave. Even though most of the staff didnt really speak english, they were really nice. The food was amazing! My mom and i did the all you can eat for about $35. It was worth it. Chefs choice and once they are done then you can continue to order from what you had! The drinks were ok. They did a special dessert for my sisters bday. Definitely recommend their food!

I got the unlimited sushi special not sure what the special was call but it was about $30 this gave me the opportunity to try different things and enjoy it at a good price. The ambience of the place was really nice.

This place sucks , run away far away . They don't even know what they are making. Seems like they bought the business recently. The food looks great on a plate but flavor would be nice. Tuna was fishy tasting. You order one thing and get another . The inside is kinda nice but they need to clean more than once a day

So I hate to leave the negative review because the sushi here is actually pretty good. However the staff was not equipped to serve the amount of people this small space was able to hold. People were walking out the door waiting to be seated, my family and I waited 2 hours for a plate that never came. This is not the staff's fault, but the owners who understaffed and under trained their employees. Never coming here again. Não gosto de fala negativamente sobre um lugar, ainda mais que o sushi estava muito bom. Infelizmente o atendimento estava péssimo. Esse restaurante pequeno não tinha a capacidade de servir as poucas pessoas que cabiam no espaço. Vimos várias pessoas cansarem de esperar por uma mesa e resolver ir embora, e não foi por falta de mesa e sim por falta de atendimento. Não é culpa dos funcionários e sim do proprietário que não empregou mais pessoas e não as treinou suficiente. Uma péssima experiencia

My husband and I stopped in late tonight for a quick dinner after shopping all day. We ordered sake, I ordered tuna &avocado poke bowl, husband got miso soup, seafood salad, spring rolls.My poke bowl was pretty bad. Tuna actually had gristle in it and hardly any taste. It had not been marinated at all. Was mushy. Frankly I was worried about it being warm and not sushi grade. Husband tried and agreed. The avocado pieces were hard. There was some sort of red onion curls that were not too bad but not great either. Husband's miso was bland and completely tasteless. Like luke warm water. His seafood salad was ok. Spring rolls were little teeny rolls that were thick-skinned and fatty with nothing inside but a mushy concoction that was unidentifiable. Sake was ok. The servers were all nice but not very attentive. I had to ask for water. They brought water. Then my husband had to ask for water. I mean, wouldn't they just be good servers and serve us both water? The ambience was pretty much nonexistent. Like a kitchen. We didn't eat our low-grade food and were given a credit for the food. We definitely won't ever go back.

The restaurant is small, but has a good distribution of chairs for customers.Bia was a a friendly server.The idea of the experience is nice, but unfortunately for me, lacks flavor.

This is a little unassuming hidden gem. The space is kinda small and not too pretentious but the food is A+++. Don't come here expecting traditional Japanese sushi, cause that's not the place for it but it is great none the less. I did the Sushi Experience (all you can eat). They bring out a ton of different types to try and the presentation is amazing. Once you try everything, they ask you if there's anything you want to repeat, but I was too full!! Then they finish it off with a sweet dessert of fruit and Nutella sushi, warm brownie and ice cream. The only thing I didn't like was the mushrooms, but that is just my personal taste, I'm sure they are great for others. My only criticism is that everything comes out SO fast, it was kinda overwhelming. Our server Luana B. Was very nice and sweet.

I don't like leaving bad reviews, particularly for what I imagine is a small business. But run from this place. No redeeming qualities. I found it on google. It has over a thousand reviews and they're all amazing. Got there on a Friday night thinking I probably should have made an rsvp... place was maybe 10% capacity. Red flag 1. The pictures and reviews are probably all robots or paid. Their website looks kind of AI. Nothing really matched the actual experience of the place. The sushi is sub par. The salmon carpaccio was meh. The sushi rice is oddly sweet. They have some weird rolls that... are maybe an acquired taste. And the price is exorbitant. For three of us it was $150. We ordered three miso soups thinking that they'll end up being either included with our order or maybe $3 give or take a buck. The soup comes out and it's a bigger than usual bowl, with tofu and no seaweed. Taste wise it was like supermarket powder soup. Also each one was $8 bucks. Ambiance ... it's in a strip mall... it's super dark... there's nothing nice like on their website. It's all bought reviews or bots.

Terrible wait for the food. Carol the owner, was as Los as the other people trying to make the food get to our table. I really thought they lost the paper with the order. They didn't.... But it doesn't work anyway cause a lot of the food requested like hot rolls didn't get to us. Our entire party had left while we were eating... Forget about waiting for the desert! We ended up taking it home but no after having it fixed cause again, some of the order was missing. It was a DESASTER!!! TERRIBLE place to go for dinner. ​Next day : to make things worse, my 9 yo son is vomiting and feeling sick.DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! It's not worth it!
