I was very excited to try this restaurant because it was so pretty and the menu seemed promising. My friend and I came for breakfast on a Saturday. The hostess seated us right away. Our server came to the table promptly and advised that he suggested the buffet because it was taking a while for food to come from the kitchen a la carte. My friend and I weren't in a rush so we ordered from the menu-we don't eat a lot and didn't think the buffet would be worth it.I ordered an egg sandwich, asked it to be cooked over hard and to sub the cheese for cheddar. My friend ordered an omelet and requested it be cooked well done. The waiter said that since there may be a wait we were welcome to eat from the buffet for no extra charge. I thought this was very nice and showed the restaurant wanted to keep people happy. I grabbed some fruit but didn't take too much since I had an entire sandwich on the way. Our food came out and the wait wasn't too bad, maybe 15-20 minutes. I know it is a bit much for breakfast but nothing too crazy. Our food came and unfortunately it was wrong. My sandwich had the wrong cheese, my friend's omelet was just the wrong dish altogether. They took them back, apologized and brought new food. My friends was corrected although she would have preferred it to be more cooked. Mine now had eggs over easy/medium with a runny yolk. I am not one to complain about something I can fix, so I took out the yolk and just ate the whites in the sandwich. When our server came back he saw what I had done realized there was another mistake. He advised that he would remake my sandwich, but I told him it wasn't necessary. He said regardless they will cover our bill and that we were still welcome to take anything we wanted from the buffet. The server admitted some of the issues were his fault for failing to make it clear to the kitchen even though he was very nice.I appreciated the remedy and the kindness of the restaurant which is why I am not upset in anyway. People make mistakes, I just ask that there be something done to fix them. I thought it was handled well, although if it were my restaurant I would have a manager come to the table, apologize and state the bill will be taken care of. Someone who appeared to be management dropped off my sandwich the second time but he didn't say anything other than, sorry, let me know if there are any other issues and that was before we realized my meal was still wrong. Small fix.The reason I don't recommend is because I see from other reviews this isn't a single experience. I also so saw slow service and small mistakes at tables around me. I would say it seems this restaurant has great potential but can use a proper staff training.

If staying at Sapphire Falls hotel, definitely stop by and have dinner at Amatista. We went on a Monday around 730p. Such a beautiful restaurant with an open kitchen concept. Our waiter was nice and attentive. Queso fundido was a good portion for 3 of us to eat. I ordered the spinach and feta flatbread and it was better than I thought. The drizzle they used on it truly tied all the ingredients together

I always come here for bfast when staying at Loews Sapphire or Aventura. They have a great bfast buffet and a la carte menu. I would recommend reservations if you're more than 2 people and want a table; they do get rather busy. I always sit at the bar and have had great service. The last time I came here, Carl was my server, and he was awesome. Super nice and attentive. The food here is really good, I always get the avocado toast.Highly recommend this spot.

Perfectly made old fashioned. Efficient service. Friendly bartender. Conveniently located right before you walk outside to get on the boat to go to Universal. Can't wait to come back!

We didn't have to wait at all for a table which was nice so we just dropped in before heading out to the parks. And our server was the sweetest! A+ on service and the food was pretty good too!Highly recommend the open faced breakfast arepa, it was delicious!

YUMMM. Came here for an event but was able to try their rotisserie roasted chicken with cilantro sauce, curry with broccoli and chick peas served over rice, salad with candied pecans and bleu cheese, and Chicken empanadas. The setting and the food were both excellent and the service team was very gracious and accommodating. Cannot say enough about the great experience I had here. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. Don't forget, if you spend $25 or more, get your parking validated for the parking cost. Ask when you're paying for dinner.

Staying at this hotel, we were hungry for dinner and we stopped in here for late night dinner and the food here is really good. We had the chicken and the Caesar salad the bread that they serve at the table is really good. Service was an A+ super friendly service nice quiet, clean place to eat dinner, we would definitely eat here again nice full bar lots of good drink choices really good drink menu. We like the selection on the menu. Had a lot of good. Tasty food to choose from but definitely eat her again.

Food was mediocre, steak was overcooked, and the appetizers came an hour and 15 minutes in. WITH a reservation. Decor is pretty, though. Plus one star for that.

Great vegetarian selections. We split a delicious, fresh, and huge pear salad, a vegetarian curry, and sweet plantains that were crisped to perfect. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed with a fun view of the kitchen. We went to many of the Universal Loews hotel restaurants when we visited recently and this was one of the best.
