Aku Aku Tiki Bar

Really enjoyed our visit here. No food, but great drinks taken seriously. Yes, we had the Tiger F*cker - and if you enjoy sweating you should too! What fun! A great destination in lovely downtown Orlando.

Two guys walk into a bar where the bartender and six people were all doing shots. Bartender was chatting. No big deal. I didn't get a shot.Finally she gets to us in this very busy bar thats the size of a hotel room. Takes our order and after a bit more chit chat with the locals she proceeded to make our drinks. After shaking them until they were very frosty, she put down both shakers ( I guess that was the experience ) pulled out her phone and proceeded to show the entire bar minus us thank God pictures of her dog. When she finally got down to putting drink to glass it was quite watery. No use to complain as I felt like a local walk in that was treated like an expendable tourist . Then completely ignored.Surprised your business stays open. She obviously doesn't care. Bad service, poor drink and why do I want to be there?!

What a neat bar! If you like tiki drinks (aka island drinks, fruity drinks, foo foo drinks, girly drinks), then make sure you stop in here. The prices aren't bad either considering the work that goes into some of these drinks.The staff was amazing and was slinging up some great cocktails. They make a great Painkiller, Mai Tai and Tiki Swizzle (for shizzle). The vibe is dark and festive, but not in a clown funeral type of way. Think nighttime Island with little lighting and music at a comfortable volume.Great decor, great drinks, and great staff make for a great night of drinking!

Great ambiance being a tiki bar in heart of lake eola. No food just great rum based beverages. I love their pain killer. It's so smooth! Bartender was great at his craft and entertaining to watch with a lot of flair.

My wife had been wanting to try this place for sometime. I am not into Tiki or Tiki drinks. However, the Aku Aku drink they have is amazing. The place is decorated in typical Tiki fashion and is one of the better decorated places I have been too.

A truly exceptional Tiki Bar located in the heart of downtown Orlando right next to Lake Eola. From the second I stepped foot in this place I did not want to leave and that tells me for one how amazing the place is going to be when it came to both the drinks and the service I can say that I was absolutely Head Over Heels about my entire experience aside from a little hiccup right when me and a few other people got there. The bar opened at 4:00 and when I went in, the bartender looked at me and the other customers as if we were nuts for getting here right when the doors opened. He acknowledged us but then didn't do anything for at least another 10 minutes so we all kind of sat around waiting for him to give us menus. Once I got my menu I decided to get the zombie and let me say this drink was truly exceptional!The zombie is a drink that once you have two of, you will not be walking out of the bar straight whatsoever. It even says right on their menu that this is one of their strongest drinks and let me say they are right. For the price tag at $13 you get a drink that is basically no mixer which is something that I love to see when it comes to mixed drinks. The flavor of this was truly exceptional and the fresh lime and Bitters mixed beautifully with the Blackwell Jamaican and Hamilton 151 that they put in this. The tiki mug it was given to me and looked like a zombie and looked like it had brains on top. I absolutely loved the flavor and despite there being a lot of ice in it, it felt like I was drinking this thing for a very long time.The entire Ambiance of this place is amazing and basically made me forget that I wasn't in the middle of orlando. They have a very pretty fish tank with some awesome black light looking fish swimming around and windows that look like screens so it makes it look like I am truly on an island! Without a doubt one of the best bars in Orlando and I will 100% be coming back when I'm in the area again.

This is a fun bar! The drinks and theme inside are fun and amazing and let me tell you about the pours. I got the drink that's limited to two, I couldn't even make it through the first drink. You will have a good time when you go and you will even make some new friends!

Lots of character in this small space with some super friendly bartenders. They were busy, but we were greeted right away and had time to review the menu while waiting for the bartender.I decided to go with the Aku Aku which was a good balance of flavor and strength. I enjoyed the drink. It was getting late so I only tried one drink, but looking forward to coming back to try some other drinks that caught my eye.

Always perfect: the service and the ambiance bring joy after difficult days. JUST noticed the cocktail strength scale on the bottom right hand corner of the menu.

It's alright. People are okay and the drinks are average. The decor is was very busy but it gave something for you to look at it. I'm from Hawaii and it did not remind me of home. We ordered two mai tais and they were super sweet packed full of rum. It wasn't so enjoyable to sip on.Restrooms are awful.
