If you are looking for decent Indian food in the UCF area, this is pretty good. It's not the best there is but for what the price is and the location, it's something we get often

Tried the lunch buffet and was very satisfied with dishes offered. Gentleman who seated us was very gentle and kind. Plenty of interior seating in a casual atmosphere. Ahmed is located in a plaza with shared parking. It's situated right next to Panda Express across from the Waterford Lakes Town Center.

This is a go-to place for my older daughter and I. In another review, I'll comment on their awesome lunch buffet. However, this specific review will speak to my visiting experience related to take-out with them.Every single time I've visited this place, the staff has been warm and inviting. There's very ample seating inside, and parking has never been a problem here. This restaurant is located in the Waterford lakes area, very close to the old Post Office, right next to Panda Express.Ahmed Restaurant is always immaculately clean! Not just the restaurant, but the tables, the seats, and even the utensils and cups are normally spotless. I don't believe they let the food sit on their customer's used dishes for too long. Pretty sure they wash their utensils, plates, and cups almost immediately after they are used.This evening we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with rice. They charge $15 for this, but it's a steal for how much you actually get. The first time I ordered from them, I thought I was going to finish it all, but it's quite filling and I had enough leftover for another meal the next night. Tonight, with my 2 daughters, we finished about 95% of it comfortably... I'll probably go ahead take down the last bit as reheating in the microwave later just isn't the same.Also, we usually order Naan (regular), and sometimes we'll get the garlic Naan if we're feeling adventurous. These are all excellent, and my daughters usually take down the Naan right away, so there's not usually any Naan leftover, despite very generous servings here. Tonight, we tried the 'Cheese Naan'. It was OK but I think we'll stick to the regular and garlic versions.For the Masala, you do have an option to select your spice tolerance. There's a really nice 'hotness' and flavor on the Mild I usually order... I could probably step itup another level, but the flavor is really nice at the Mild level.Another thing about this restaurant: your food is usually ready pretty quickly. I usually order ahead online, or will take advantage of their lunch buffet. They do have a loyalty program which accrues points for each visit. On this night, we were able to redeem a $5 credit when their system recognized my phone number.Love this place. If you enjoy Indian food and are on the East side of Orlando, you won't go wrong here!

The food was great, but doesn't match the ambience. The place itself looks kind of bland, so wasn't sure what to expect. Tried it out with a friend based on many great reviews. We weren't sure if it was a host seats you kind of place or place your order and wait/seat yourself. So that was a little confusing at first, but an employee showed us to a table after a couple of minutes and gave us menus. She did check on us a couple of times about the food, but then never came back to let us know how to pay or box up our leftovers. We ended up asking one of the other employees, because we didn't know where our server was, or so we thought she was our server ‍ So aside from the somewhat awkward service experience, we would definitely go back for the food. Wish I could put 4.5 stars at least, not quite 5, but not just 4 either. The garlic naan and veggie samosas were off the chain, and so was the korma dish I had with rice. My fiend had a biryani dish that was so good as well. Serving was huge, so plenty of leftovers too and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to trying many other dishes on the menu, and I'll try to remember to take pics next time.

It's pretty okay food. It feels decently sterile inside and not super homely. I will say, though, that the food lacks any real spice or kick. Even when I asked for spicier food, I didn't receive such. So if you want spicy Indian, this isn't the place.

Ahmed is always a cheap & solid choice for lunch buffet. They have a small selection of decent quality biryanis, dal, and chicken dishes.

Can't explain how much I love this spot. I absolutely love the food and the people. They make the best butter chicken with rice and naan bread ever. The service is wonderful. They are quick and are also very kind. It's also very affordable for how good it truly is. This has been my go to spot for months now!

The absolute BEST Indian food at the absolute BEST price. Since I discovered this little gem, shamelessly, I admit I order at least 4 times a month-- and that's being on the low end. This is the only place I know where they do spicy butter chicken-- DELICIOUS. Their garlic naan actually has pieces of garlic on it (most places barely season it when ordered!). Their basmati rice has this delicious, light seasoning that is worth every penny. The employees have always been kind and welcoming and my food has NEVER disappointed. I always order togo so I don't know about the lunch buffet-- my other guilty pleasure is the chicken samosa! The chicken is super tender, never dry! So delicious!

Delicious food and attentive servers. The food is fresh and the portions are generous. Worth a try.
