Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana - Kirkman

First off the aroma made me feel like I was on a resort in Cancun, so authentic! I had the chicken flautas and they were so delicious and their Mexican rice is absolutely amazing as well.

Okay...okay, I will admit that trying Agave Azul was way overdue. It's located in the Kirkman Shoppes Shopping Center with ample parking. We received a quick and inviting welcome. It has really good food, full of flavor and oh so tasty. Their staff is informative and friendly, lovely ambiance, lengthy bar, tons of seating and a heated outdoor dining area. Did I forget to mention the margaritas are yummy!

Here's something you need to know: if it's unusually cold outside, it will be inside too. There's nothing to block the cold each time the doors open. That said, Agave Azul has some pretty good food.We were a large party, and I was grateful that the servers kept the chips and salsa coming. The salsa has a nice little bite to it. I started with an horchata which was mild and sweet. I recommend it. I picked the birria tacos for an entree. They were pretty good. Definitely on the mild side until you put some of that green sauce on them. Definitely taste a little so you don't use too much.Everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered, so I look forward to trying other items from the menu.

This was a great find on my first trip to Orlando. I love Mexican food. Been eating it since I was a kid in L.A. I know authentic from Americanized. I had the shredded beef tacos. Excellent! The guacamole and queso were terrific. Great food with bad service doesn't cut it. Great service with bad food doesn't either. Our server, Danni (sp), assisted the five of us above and beyond, as well as the other tables she worked. Great smile and attitude. Whatever she decides to do in the future, will be a huge success. Overall, it was a great experience! If there was any negative, it's a really loud place, which makes it difficult for older people with hearing issues to communicate. Can't wait to return.

I wish I could say it was better because I was very excited to try this place.The sitting inside was very loud. I've got a difficult to talk to my partner across from me. I guess that's a good sign for the business with it being so busy, but I could definitely do with the tables being a bit farther apart, and the music not being so loud. The service was very quick. The order was taken fast, the food came out fast, and I have no complaints there. Unfortunately, the taco salad was, well, a bit underseasoned, which is very sad to say. I was hoping for more there. About a half of my Carne Asada was inedible. It was so incredibly fatty that by the time I trimmed off all the fat, there wasn't that much meat left for the price. On top of it some of the pieces that I did eat, turned out to have so much fat in them I had to spit them back out in my napkin. However, the rice was good. I had high expectations, but unfortunately, this place did not beat them. I may try them one more time given their generally high reviews, but I will definitely be trying different items.

Phenomenal. We sat outside since it was a gorgeous, January day. The mole sauce was excellent.Authentic, fresh. Friendly service. Definitely recommend for excellent Mexican cuisine.

I went to dinner here with my boyfriend, his brother and his girlfriend. We ended up having such great service at the bar from Carol (?). Three of us have the Paloma which was so good and the other a pina colada. I had the flautas with beans and rice which was also very good! My boyfriend said his quesadilla was very tasty. The decor and atmosphere was also very nice. I would definitely return!

Great skinny margarita! Guacamole needs more cilantro & lime juice, in my opinion.Brisket tacos would be great as a grain-free "nourish bowl" option.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to leave a review. Hands down favorite Mexican spot near the theme parks. If I can I will minimally eat all day in the parks to make sure I have space to eat at Agave Azul. I've been coming here for years and there's nothing better in Orlando. I love all the maragita options, especially the ones with Mezcal. I always get the birria tacos because they taste so good and the dipping sauce is amazing. If you're near the parks and want a good meal, make sure to pass on by.

Luana was an amazing server. Very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Food was superb per usual.
