4Roots Café

A fantastic café for the Orlando Science Center.I love that they have a healthy food choice here. Both my husbands and I got bowls. We got one kid a cheese flatbread (which was actually delicious) and the other chicken dino nuggets with chips. I got a large bowl, which was too much. I should have just gotten a regular or small. My husband got a small and it was still a good size.Now this is where it gets difficult, I think I mixed and matched weird ingredients. I loved the kale base and would get that again. But then I added ginger brussels sprouts, which gave it a weird dressing and the tofu, which also had it's own dressing. Next time I should get things without dressing so that way my cilantro sauce would shine through (which was delicious). Instead I had some competing flavors. The chicken (not the BBQ chicken) was delicious and pretty neutral so that was a great protein. My husband got the Caesar dressing and said it was great. I like how everything is recyclable. That's a nice touch for a science center. There is a ton of seating. We got here at noon and there wasn't a line, but we kept watching it grow, so come a little before noon if you don't want to be stuck in line. When we come back to the science center, we will eat here every time.

Absolutely delicious!Located at the Science Center is this amazing restaurant!I was with my son and we stopped in for lunch.I ordered a pesto pasta with mushrooms, chicken and feta cheese!I don't know what it is about this food but it is amazing! The food always tastes so incredibly fresh and delicious!

I had a tofu bowl & it was pretty good. Nice spicy kick. $7 for a salad bowl is not expensive...let alone in a museum. People in this state love complaining!

Food was ok. For the prices, better quality and portions would have been expected. Service was ok. A runner from the counter delivered our items. Kids liked the Mac n cheese. Pizza so so. The Italian sandwich was very skimpy. Even over heard that from another table. A room full of kids yelling and enjoying the time. Dining room was a typical cafeteria decor.

Honestly I was excited they replaced the Subway but I am still wanting a bit more from the potential of this restaurant. This mostly goes for the pizza (which is not very good) and sad because my kids LOVE pizza but they won't eat this. I have had a few other items here like the turkey sandwich and a wrap and they are just fine. On the weekends they serve 4Rivers so that is a nice change to see as well. It's a place we would come to if we absolutely had to but for the most part we try to eat outside of the science center.

Delicious and quality food! Definitely our go to when we go to the science center. Kids love it. Parents love it. Staff is great and is so accommodating. There are a lot of seating and always clean!

As members of the Orlando Science Center, we have been to 4Roots Cafe many times. It's a major upgrade from the sandwich chain that was here prior!It's a wonderful cafe that has the same owners as 4Rivers BBQ but it's on the healthier side. They have rice/salad bowls, sandwiches, and flatbreads. They also have an assortment of snacks as well. I gravitate towards the create-your-own bowls because you can choose your base, protein and veggies. The Cuban pork is excellent! My son loves the Dinosaur chicken nuggets and it comes with chips and a drink.The space is cafeteria style, nicely decorated and clean. They have a large tv that shows segments that are community focused which I enjoy. They also have a few activities off to the side which are fun to do.I'd you are an OSC member, you get a 10% discount on 4Roots!

Cute little cafe inside the Orlando Science Center, and very convenient to those visiting the Art Museum or Shakespeare Center and craving a snack or reasonably healthy meal. We were visiting the Orlando Art Museum and needed some grub. Found this place immediately on Yelp and ordered our food on their website. Quick, easy, and tasty!As you can see if the photo, this place was swarming with unruly children, as expected on a Saturday for a science center. Nonetheless, we found a place sit and eat, and our food was only 5 minutes passed the original stated time--no complaints there. Food was decent, nothing spectacular but good for a museum cafe. Noise was 10/10 and the lack of parental advisory was a bit concerning but nothing the museum really could have done. The 4-Stars mainly comes in with the whole sustainability standards that are bolstered throughout the cafe area--live green wall, farm to table, etc.--but they still use single-use plastic ware with cellophane wrappers... doesn't match up in my opinion, but was the only thing that irked me in our experience.

Actually got this delivered from UberEats ( restaurant is located in the science center).Got the American, which has great flavor, super light, with a nice kick from the comeback sauce. Description said it comes with brown rice and quinoa but my dish only had brown rice.My friend has the Mediterranean- kale was fresh and not even remotely bitter.Food wasn't overpriced even for being on UberEats and tastes fresh.Would definitely recommend!

Solid 3 and that's ok!After years of Subway at the science, I'm glad to see something better pop up. I found all the selections decent, especially the burrito bowls and the bbq. However, my kids did not like the pizza due to the sauce they're using (it's too herby and not fresh). Service was quick and cafeteria style.
