Great spot for breakfast or lunch in Winter Haven. Typical diner fare-burgers, fries, eggs, bacon. We tried the patty melt special, BLT, and soup/salad combo. The chicken noodle soup was chunky and homey tasting. They also turned my side salad into a Greek side salad and it was perfect. Reasonable menu prices too compared to the other lunch/brunch spots around.

1st Street Diner is a gem of a breakfast/lunch place loacated, where else, but on 1st Street in Winter Haven. I've been here a few times for a late breakfast and I've really enjoyed it The restaurant has its own private parking lot. Once inside you seat yourself. The menu has lots of traditional breakfast fare. My favorite item so far is he meatlovers omelet. This thing is huge and stuffed with large pieces of sausage, bacon, and ham, plus cheese. The grits are creamy and the iced tea is on point. They have Crystal hot sauce (Yay not tabasco!) on the table so you don't even have to ask for it. Portions are large. So far I've only ever been able to eat 1/2 my breakfast. Prices are reasonable. My large breakfast costs under $9 and I can usually eat it for 2 meals. Service is fast and friendly. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area.

Have Been to this little Gem a few times now with my sister. No it's not super fancy or big, but the food is good and the service is excellent. Alisha is the best. Very prompt with drinks and taking our order. Food always comes out hot, and taste good. Simple, affordable, great staff and good food. What more could you ask for.

When traveling I like to try the smaller local places. This is one place we have always had great service and good food. There are regulars that visit this place every day. The staff is always friendly even when they are busy. With prices on the rise this is one place you can still visit and get what you're paying for. The portions are on the larger side. We have only tried there breakfast but have never been disappointed.

Visiting from out of town and this little diner did not disappoint. I am not an egg kind of person so pancakes are the next best thing. Not any ole' pancake either. Walnut and banana with Carmel sauce and whipped cream. Yum! Hands down the best pancakes I have eaten. No need for syrup. It was like eating banana bread straight from the oven. Warm, moist and perfect. Definitely will make this my breakfast hot spot when in town again. The waitress was polite and very attentive to our needs as well. I just wish I had a picture of that scrumptious meal.

Had the special for lunch... Catfish fingers. Mom had fries and applesauce. I had coleslaw and the Lemon Chicken soup! We couldn't decide which we liked best. Fish was delicious, but the fries were batter dipped--crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. But that soup... Oh that's soup! We'll be back...

I have been eating at 1ST Street Diner for about 2 years. Food is fabulous and cooked with love. When you order your food it is cooked exactly the way you want.
