Once again, I had the pleasure of dining at one of my favorite restaurants, and as always, it delivered an exceptional experience. I have yet to have a bad meal here--their ever-evolving menu is consistently filled with creative and expertly crafted dishes. The evening began with a plate of artisan cheeses, each selection thoughtfully paired with garnishes of the moment, lavash, and sourdough crackers. The lineup included:* Cypress Grove "Lamb Chopper" (Arcata, California)* Rogue Creamery "Oregon Blue" (Central Point, Oregon)* Sweetgrass Dairy "Cypress" (Thomasville, Georgia)Accompanying the cheeses was shaved Alto Adige speck drizzled with Up The Road honey, alongside a side of toasted sourdough bread--a beautifully balanced start. To drink, I opted for the Redemption Song, a seasonal cocktail featuring Bacardi 8-year rum, lime, orgeat, orange curaçao, and a Goslings Black Rum float. The flavors were perfectly layered, making for a refreshing yet complex cocktail. For my entrée, I indulged in the grilled pork ribeye, served with Anson Mills baked peas, Sugar Top Farms shishito peppers, and bacon jam. Every component on the plate was executed flawlessly, from the juicy pork to the smoky-sweet bacon jam that tied it all together. To round out the meal, dessert was a double espresso alongside an orange-olive oil cake, complemented by rosemary mousse, blood orange cremeux, and pistachio-cardamom soil. The combination of citrus, herbal notes, and subtle spice was both sophisticated and satisfying. I finished off the night with a pour of Amaro Montenegro, the perfect digestif to conclude another remarkable dining experience.Once again, this restaurant proves why it remains at the top of my list. Thoughtful ingredients, inspired execution, and impeccable service make each visit memorable. Already looking forward to my next meal here!

We came here for our anniversary dinner and it was nice they had happy anniversay on the menu. With that our service while here was pretty good there was a while where I didn't have any water in my glass but overall good service. The restaurant was very nice and clean inside as well.On to why we didn't like it so much. The food. I really liked my fruit loop cocktail and the speck and rolls. But my Fiance and I both really did not like our entrees. The duck was off tasting, yes I've had a lot of duck so I can say for certain it was the duck. I really wanted to like this but somehow there was just no flavor and very little seasoning and with the off taste of the duck I couldn't finish my food. I did like the rye spaetzle on my plate though it was slightly crunchy and had a great taste. The dish was really well presented. My finance got the bourguignon and it was almost like there was no salt or pepper or hardly any seasoning at all on it. There was just a meat flavor which was not bad we just wish it was seasoned. The potatoes that came with didn't taste right either almost like it was burnt or there was burnt or spoiled butter used in making them.

Update: the manager responded to my google review blatantly lying. He never told me I was charged for my drink he didn't even ask for my information when I called so he was only able to find that information AFTER I left the review with my name. He said I left 0$ tip on a $17 drink bill because we all collectively left a $100 tip on our total food billThis 1 star review is for the horrible experience with the manager after I was incorrectly charged without anyone notifying me of this mistake. I visited this restaurant yesterday with a group of 12 people. The entire bill was charged to one person's card, and I only used my card to pay for one drink. Yet somehow, both of our cards were charged $400 each. When I called to get an explanation, I spoke to ADAM CRANE, the so-called manager, who claimed to be "as high as it gets" in terms of supervisors. Instead of addressing the issue, he refused to explain why I was charged and hung up on me when I pointed out how unprofessional he was being. Yes, a manager hung up on a customer with a legitimate concern. My colleague, who actually paid for the meal, later called and was told one card had been charged by accident. The waitress never informed us this mistake even happened. Between the lack of communication and a manager who clearly has no idea how to handle customer concerns, this place is a joke. Regretting our generous tip as ADAM lacks even basic professionalism.

The food was delicious 10/10 we got the bread appetizer, filet mignon, and gumbo. The dessert we didn't like, we got the Tart it tasted bland/flavorless. Our waiter was very clipped I'm not sure if she was having a bad day/was mad but it definitely was obvious :/ . The rest of the staff was wonderful those bringing our food were extremely courteous and nice. Besides the waiter/dessert we loved it and will definitely come back for the food!

We stopped into 1921 during the craft fair weekend, it's a really unassuming spot that packs a punch. We really wish we lived closer. The service was on point, the drinks were refreshing and the food was packed with flavor.I got oysters to start and had the stone crabs for my meal, they were so fresh and the mustard sauce was perfect. I got the side of bread and it was so fluffy and warm and perfectly went with my crabs and oysters. My husband got the pork sandwich and it had so much flavor it was insane. The crunch on the bread was so satisfying. We cannot wait to be back in the area to come back.

Rabbit for Easter!? And those hot cross buns, woo hoo hoo doot, doot, dooo! lol. I give them something like a five for nice elevated dining with delicious fancy foods and impressive, exemplary hospitality on a level you don't see often enough anymore, in a beautifully curated arty modern space.I don't mind throwing good money down on food and an experience worthy of it and 1921 delivered, mostly. Was looking forward to the deviled duck eggs as shown on the online "example" menu but they didn't have them on the day. Shoot. And while I realize this is supposed to be an experience, we waited well over an hour for our mains to come out, long after starters and cocktails ran out, and I was about done, restless, and feeling full. So, whatever was special with the mains was sort of lost; at least on me. Our bill was also messed up, they double charged us, and took even more time still, to fix.

Cool, eclectic and refined is the way we'd describe the vibes at @1921mountdora. This place is beyond chic and laid-back all at the same time, with menu offerings that are unexpectedly surprising (hello, crispy pulled pork rillettes) and cocktail options that work beautifully for the upcoming summer months. Everything about this establishment is pure decadence, from the service to the ambiance to their impeccable menu, we just cannot wait to visit again soon. This is a spot you're going to want to add to your list of places to hit up this summer. Definitely try their rillettes and hush puppies, paired with their signature Pink Panther cocktail if you decide to check them out.*They are located in:142 E 4th Ave, Mt Dora, FL 32757

Pros:The food is incredible. We came here for Magical Dining Month last year, and their menu was very creative, unique, and impressive. Not only was the composition of the menu impressive, but the execution of the menu was perfect. Service is also impeccable. You feel like you're at a Michelin restaurant, and I hope they find their way onto the Guide one day soon. The location is wonderful; right in the middle of the very walkable downtown Mount Dora. Any trip to this city should end with a meal here. Cons:There are no cons with this place. Not a one.Tips:The menu is very seasonal and constantly rotating, so I don't want to make any tips regarding specifically what to order, but I will say all of their good meat dishes were very good, and you should order anything they make with octopus, venison, duck, etc.
